Horrible place, I went in Aug last year, was told they would log my dive, had to pay extra to get a guide because the captain, not sure her name was a pill, but 10 months later when asked why they didn't log the dive as they said they would, I got the run around. I got a call from the owner, who said I should feel lucky they let me dive with them....crazy, Hero's in Dunedin is way more professional, so if you're looking for a place, go there, this place has a strange idea of customer service. read more

I went on my first charter with them and had a great time. I immediately booked a second dive trip. I was texted last minute by the captain advising they had to change the time they were leaving because "something came up". I could not make that trip and tried to make arrangements to go on several other trips but due to scheduling it did not work out on either end. On Sept 13th I asked for a credit / gift card for another trip. I was not going to be able to go for many weeks and wanted something showing I had a credit for the 200+ I had paid, but got no response. On Sept 19th I asked for a refund since they had ignored my request and again got no response. On Friday the 26th I asked for acknowledgment of my request and yet again, got no response. On Monday the 29th I called and left a message for the owner to contact me and never got a call back. I had to put in a dispute with my credit card company. Be cautious booking with them. First experience was great, second experience showed they couldn't care less, once they have your money it doesn't matter if they take you diving or not. read more

We booked a 6 hour deep sea fishing charter with 2 Shea July 2023 for us and our three grand boys, aged 15, 11, and 8. We had never been on a deep sea fishing charter before, so we were unsure what to expect. The boys have only fished in a pond, so we didn't know how they would like this, even though they wanted to try it. We were fortunate to have Captain TJ as our host on this trip. Wow, were we impressed! We visited 3 fishing sites and caught fish constantly. Our lines were always in the water - as soon as we caught a fish, the crew would be there to bait us up and have our hooks back in the water. We got to meet up with one of their dive boats and the boys were able to spend some time swimming in the Gulf at the dive site. They had a blast jumping off the boat into the water, all while under the watchful eye of the crew. As we made it back to shore, the crew prepped our catch for us to take to a local restaurant for lunch. Needless to say, we enjoyed a delicious meal! I would highly recommend 2 Shea and we plan to go again, as we take the boys on vacation to Florida each year. It was an outstanding fishing charter that exceeded our expectations. read more

Some people pan the "Cattle Boats" because they have 25-30 divers on them, however, 2Shea handled it very well. I did not hear a single complaint from any of the divers (and there were 32 on this trip). It seemed that everyone had a great experience and created some good memories. Capt. Tracey and Dive Master Rob took excellent care of the passengers and seemed to follow all Coast Guard rules and regulations as required. Roll call was taken every time we returned to the boat and they made sure everyone was paying attention to the crew that was speaking. My wife went along and bubble watched, she said she had a great time talking with the crew and just being out on the boat reading her book. The viz off Clearwater is never perfect, so it you are expecting Key Largo with 500 foot viz, you are setting yourself up for a disappointing trip... drive on down to the Keys if you want the Keys or fly off to the ABC islands. Saw some nurse sharks and a bazillion fishes of every kind and size. The two dives were in Veterans reef, which are "3 Barges" and "Circle of Heroes" Viz was 10 feet or so at the barges until the open water folks hit the bottom and stirred it up then it could drop to close to nothing, but it passes with the current. I would go with 2 Shea's again as they delivered exactly what I was hoping to get. They can't control the viz, just the process of getting you to the site and back home safe, and that they did very well. read more

Had an awesome time with these guys. We had a group of 7 and a big cooler of beer. We went out for a half day and will definitely go back out for a full day when we get the chance. They are very knowledgeable about the area and have their own spots they go to. They were very efficient in setting up all the gear and getting us fishing. When we caught a fish they were right next to us to help bring it into the boat and put it away if it was big enough. After we got back to shore they filleted all the fish, which was a lot for a group of 7! All in all we had a great and memorable experience. The captains that came with us were very nice and I can't wait to go out with them again. ...also if you're worried there is a bathroom on the boat, so don't let that hold you back! read more

Mangrove, grays, barracuda, snook, hog fish, amberjack, sandbar shark, Goliath grouper, and many more. No need to worry if you are diving by yourself they'll pair you up with someone who is a single as well or you'd be with a dive master or instructor. Overall a great experience on the dive side. Great company and I definitely will be learning how to spearfish with them after I get settled in FL. I've now fished and now done dives with Two Shea. We weren't lucky enough to find Meg teeth on our dive but we did bring up two Sand Tiger teeth and a Lemon Shark tooth. My friend at work won a fishing trip and most of us were a little nervous since we didnt have a lot of experience being on the water. But the captain and crew really did a great job of easing any fears we had and made it a super fun trip. The boat was bigger than we expected and a really smooth ride. We got to sit up on the top level and the view was really beautiful. At first we thought we'd only spend an hour or so out in the water and then drive the boat to a bar but it was so much fun we ended up staying out fishing the whole day! Everyone caught fish and even a shark, which was obviously let go. But seeing the ocean all around us, the sun shining, beautiful fish, it was just amazing. Even if you have anxiety or fears about being on a boat or in the water, when you're with friends and an awesome crew, its easy to loose yourself in the beauty and have a great time. The staff was so wonderful! So friendly, knowledgeable, and safe! I've been diving for over 28 years and have been on many dive boats and charters. 2 Shea was outstanding! It was so comforting to see the divemaster making his rounds to the different dive buddy teams, to make sure everyone was safe and receiving an exceptional diving experience. He pointed out several things, including a stingray, that I'm sure I would have missed had he not been there. I've noticed that many dive shops and charters in Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete offer dive trips to nearby springs and to the east coast of Florida. I live on the east coast and wanted a different experience, by diving in the Gulf. After an exhaustive search, I've found that 2 Shea is one of the few, if not the ONLY charter to offer diving in the Gulf! I highly recommend them! read more

We had the best time with Captain TJ and our dive master, Kalyn. There were plenty of hands on deck to help us get setup and get on our way. Had a great time diving with 2 Shea Charters. The crew took my daughter and I out to the Airplane Barge and the Three Barges sites. The crew was experienced, helpful, and top notch. So I did confirm this morning that we are officially 100% shut down. They made the decision last night to shut all charters down. There was a way for some of us with upper stations to get around it and that was my plan for for the weekend. That has changed. I am very sorry for the bad news. The last thing we want to do is cancel during our business time of year with this unseasonably perfect weather. We can either fully refund you or reschedule your trip to a future date, whichever you prefer. Once again we hate to have to do this, but hopefully it will aid to the more speedy recovery of this situation and we can get back to operating. Please let me know that you received this. The most unprofessional dive shop I have ever seen. I flew down to St. Pete for this dive trip and they cancelled on me. I understand this happens but I'm upset because they never reached out to me.... I showed up to the dive shop the day of the planned dive and they never reached out to me to tell me the dive was cancelled.... When I tried to reach someone at the shop, no one answered their phone calls. I even left them a voicemail and they never called me back.... Having booked a hotel, rented a car and checked a diving bag for my flights this was an expensive overlook. I would never recommend them under any circumstances. Truly the worst I have ever dealt with- I'm sorry I booked anything with them. read more

Can't accurately review my dives with 2 shea because we were blown off half an hour before we were supposed to arrive at the dock. I had tried to confirm my dives the day before, left 2 messages, and never got a call back. We got a text at 7:30 am (we were supposed to leave at 8) saying there had been some sort of mix up that he had just found out about, and that he could no longer take us diving. Long story short, we missed our chance to dive so if you want to dive around Tampa I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more
