This park is located just south of the Florida Botanical Gardens off of Walsingham Rd. in Largo. It features: a public boat ramp, a dog park, free parking, a pier, playground equipment, shelters and grills. Walsingham Park Trail is a 3.4 mile loop that features a beautiful lake. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running and bird watching. We also saw a lot of cyclists the day we were there. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on a leash. However, be mindful that alligators do live along this lake. If you're wanting a new trail to discover, I can definitely recommend Walsingham County Park.

    Boat launch area. No motors.

This is a large green manicured park with a leisurely winding road around a lake. It also has a dog park deep within. Very 1950s. Cruise era. All can be seen from the comfort of your automobile amd you can hit Culver's or Arby's after. I am more of a naturalist and nature guy, but the sweeping manicured lawns and park setting are nice and there are shelters and picnic sites. Also a launch place for paddlecraft (non motoroized). Some lovely wildflowers along the lake edge. If it were up to me there would be less road and more nature area. Even for a manicured park I'd like nature trails and arboretum type plantings. The botanical garden is nearby.

Walsingham Park is large and beautiful. There are a lot of different areas that you can explore. I have not looked into it, but there is a sign saying that you can pick up free mulch here too. Walsingham has a dog park, a lake, trails, benches, picnic areas, and more. I love one little wooden overlook in particular where I go to watch the turtles swim around. There are a lot of turtles in the lake and it is super peaceful. The sunset can be pretty here too. I come here when I am looking for peace and solitude. I have yet to explore all of the trails. However, it is a great place for running from the parts that I have seen. The park seems to be well kept. There are bathrooms that are in good shape too. Overall, it is a great park with something for everyone. I will keep coming back until I have seen all that it has to offer.

It's a park with a dog park. What's not to like? Nice place with lots of room and a lake nearby.

Several of her family members and her five (5!) children. It is a beautiful place, well laid out, plenty of parking, gorgeous views and dedicated to all veterans, so a special meaning for me as a veteran. With beautiful, covered areas for grilling and eating, lots of paths for walking, jogging, and dog walking. A huge playground for children, which made for hours of fun for the kids. Plenty of parking all around the lake. A nice dock for feeding the ducks and fish, not sure if they allow fishing or not. A nice workout area with lots of different exercise equipment. Plenty of war memorials for veterans and families of veterans. Several areas of names of local veterans that served. And really nice and clean restrooms for after a couple bottles of water. Most impressive though was the placement of a combat jet lifted high in the air. A beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable park nestled right off a main road. Just watch the GPS carefully, it's a small road leading in. We missed it but the jet caught our attention and we turned about.
