Great park. Not too crowded on the weekdays and there is usually parking available on the street. There are play areas for children, volleyball courts, basketball, as well as a dog park. The paths wrap around and go for about 3blocks. There are lots of spaces for a picnic in the grass or to rent one of the pavilions.

One of the most beautiful parks in Clearwater, hands-down! Awesome for every age kids. Here are some of the features: Rope swing, disc swing, two regular swings, rope, structure to climb, five hoop basketball, multiple wooden play structures with slides, a circular walking trail that goes around the entire lake. There are turtles, fish, ducks, cranes, squirrels, and a variety of other little creatures to look at. Not sure if there are alligators yet, but I don't want to find out haha Another feature of this park are the sculptures. They are placed around the grounds. They have a metal spider, the funny, redheaded birds, a fish, and probably a few more. On the north west side of the park. There is also veterans memorial and designated parking. There are plenty of handicapped parking spots around the perimeter. And finally if you're into sand volleyball, they have a sand volleyball court complete with a shower to rinse off afterward. Bring the little ones to play in the splash pad, which is conveniently located just outside the restrooms.

This park is beautiful!!! They have really done an amazing job. This park has everything you need in a park. Off of Gleenwood you will find the fitness area that has outdoor fitness equiptment to work out. You will also find the playground and sprayground area. Next to the sprayground is the bathrooms. Throughout the park you will find plenty of shaded areas as well as many picnic shelters. There is also bench seating throughout the park along the paths. Doggy lovers... there is a huge dog park area with several shaded fenced in areas. I love taking my kids to this park to see all the different nature has to over in this busy city. Love just standing by the lake and watching the ducks with my toddler. If I could change anything about this park though it would be the toddler play area. It's really small. I know this play area is intended for more of a natural play area but it would be nice for some additional play equiptment. Nonetheless this park is in our park rotation as we like to visit all the parks Clearwater has to offer!

Crest Lake is in the center of this park, and the surrounding wooded area contains at least 83 different types of trees. The area to the south of the lake has a veterans memorial and dog park. There is a children's playground and rest rooms to the west, and a volleyball court on the park's northern edge. There are a couple of pavillions with tables where you can have a picnic meal, and the park could use more of these. I have seen turtles, Ibis and ducks here. The park has also become a nesting ground for Turkey Vultures, which creep me out a bit. Not only are they ugly-looking things, but any kind of vulture reminds me of death. That wouldn't bother me in my younger days, but it does now that I have a lot more sand in the bottom of the hourglass than on top,

The park itself is very clean and nicely laid out with a cool splash pad for children to play in as well as a nice little park with stuff to climb and slide down and around on. I like that the park had some really clean bathrooms and the stalls didn't have any gaps when I closed the door. Being able to walk around this park and see some beautiful views of the water was something that was very cool because it is right off the water! No matter where I was walking there was something to see and enjoy. There was also a ton of seating around the park so I didn't have to sit on the floor or sit in the way of anyone. I also love that there are both stairs and ramps so that everyone is able to enjoy this park!

Also, during this event they had the bathrooms of the music venue open, which was really nice. I liked being able to walk up the hill between the music venue ans the library to see what it would be like to be sitting on the lawn for a concert and to also see the seating area for concerts. At the top of the hill, near where some construction is now taking place, are the murals. I love murals! They bring joy to the park. Parking isn't great. I parked far away on the street for free. The lot I parked next to is not free during concerts but was also free duringbthis daytime festival. I definitely will attend more events here.

Glen Oaks Park runs up against a neighborhood on the south side. The west end of the trail passes by some apartment complexes. It has a 1 mile paved trail around a few different retention ponds. The park is beautiful and looks like the city maintains it well. There are a plethora of tall, beautiful, sprawling trees. It would be a nice place to read a book on a cooler day. I saw a few birds here. There are a lot of alligator signs, but I did not find any. The pond contains a massive amount of turtles that come swimming toward you when you walk out on to the overlook. This indicates that people have been feeding them here (which is really not good for the animals, but happens often at parks in our area). The park also has soccer fields, boardwalks with overlooks that go out onto the water, and a small playground. The playground has a small rock wall, a rope web, and a tire swing. It has bathrooms, but they were closed when I visited. I am not sure why. There were not any signs, but the gates were pulled and locked. Overall, it is a decent local park. I probably will not return that often because the trail was a little short for me. It was fun to explore and visit for my first time here.

Disappointing experience with clear racial undertones…read more I stayed at Pier 60 Clearwater Beach for a family emergency and was extremely disappointed with part of my experience. While some front desk staff were professional and helpful, the interaction with the bartender and the general manager on February 17th left a bad taste. When I attempted to pay a $30 tab, I was asked multiple times for my credit cards in a condescending manner. Despite my cards working, the bartender struggled with the payment system. When the GM stepped in, the same card that was "declined" magically worked immediately -- an interaction I recorded. This experience gave the impression of racial bias, as I highly doubt a white patron would have been treated the same way. I am a Black professional and a doctor currently working with the FBI, and I found the behavior unnecessary, unprofessional, and stressful during an already difficult family situation. While the GM attempted to address the issue, he was dismissive and walked away during the conversation. Two things can be true: some staff were courteous and kind, but the bartender and the handling of the payment issue created a negative and unnecessary experience. Unfortunately, this completely overshadowed the positive aspects of my stay, and I would not recommend this hotel for Black patrons or Black professionals at this time. Summary: Positive interactions with some staff were erased by poor service and racial undertones. If management wishes to address this, I would be willing to provide recorded documentation.

It's kind of strange as you have to go up from the parking garage to the 5th level to get to the front desk as there is now obvious entrance street level. The breakfast is also on the same level as the desk. It's a hot breakfast and the french toast was my go to although they had eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels and a lot of other stuff to choose from. When you're eating breakfast you have a great view of the marina and beach. It was fun to watch the dolphins that came into the marina to eat. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, right on the marina and only a short walk from the beach. Staff was polite and very helpful. The elevators are fast which is nice too. The cost was reasonable, especially compared to other hotels on the beach. Lot's to watch on tv including free Netflix. It's a little older hotel but they keep it clean and in good condition. On the 10th floor is Jimmy's Crow's Nest bar and restaurant which is outside. Never ate anything there but did get drinks and they were good. They do a free shot at sunset every night too. I'd return if we go back to Clearwater Beach.
