A beautiful park that was recently renovated, in the heart of downtown Tampa. They have started hosting many events lately and one of the most recent ones has been the "momma duck" art exhibit and her kid "Timmy". The park itself is very clean and nicely laid out with a cool splash pad for children to play in as well as a nice little park with stuff to climb and slide down and around on. I like that the park had some really clean bathrooms and the stalls didn't have any gaps when I closed the door. Being able to walk around this park and see some beautiful views of the water was something that was very cool because it is right off the water! No matter where I was walking there was something to see and enjoy. There was also a ton of seating around the park so I didn't have to sit on the floor or sit in the way of anyone. I also love that there are both stairs and ramps so that everyone is able to enjoy this park! read more

This was the first time I had been to Coachman since it was redone and it is awesome! There was a festival going on so there were a lot of people out and about, lots of food trucks and crafters. I liked that there is a eater feature for kids to play in and a bathroom. Also, during this event they had the bathrooms of the music venue open, which was really nice. I liked being able to walk up the hill between the music venue ans the library to see what it would be like to be sitting on the lawn for a concert and to also see the seating area for concerts. At the top of the hill, near where some construction is now taking place, are the murals. I love murals! They bring joy to the park. Parking isn't great. I parked far away on the street for free. The lot I parked next to is not free during concerts but was also free duringbthis daytime festival. I definitely will attend more events here. read more

This gorgeous park in the heart of downtown Clearwater is the perfect place for anyone who likes being outdoors. Whether you're someone who likes being right next to the water, walking on the sidewalk for exercise or running around on massive greens with your 4 legged friend, you can do it all here. This place boasts scenic views, as it's located right off Clearwater Harbor Marina making it as close to the ocean as you can be; It's gorgeous. There's a pier you can walk out onto, tons of docks to look at boats & the water is so clear you'll spot marine life if you look long enough. The walkways stretch along the water & all throughout the park so you can see everything it has to offer. Although it's not massive, the 19 acres are utilized well. Most impressively, there's an amphitheater here with 4,000 seats & a 22,000+ square foot lawn section. You can catch a concert here or relax on the lawn while gazing at the beautiful ocean just beyond the stage. The park holds different events year round, many of which are free & open to the public. I was just here in mid-January to see the "World's Largest Rubber Duck" installation. This massive display was not only cute but it stood tall on their greens daily for almost a month. I really enjoy coming here because of how nice it is. The grounds are kept gorgeous, people are always friendly & the location itself can't get much better in my opinion. They have plenty of parking that's cheap at the meters so there's not much to complain about there. Overall, it's one of my favorite parks in the Clearwater/Dunedin area. It's well worth visiting if you're looking for a beautiful park to enjoy. read more

Coachman Park is a hidden gem in Clearwater. Such an expansive and lovely park right along the water. It's unfortunate that downtown Clearwater has become so desolate so this park doesn't always get the love it should. Tons of walking paths, a big green space, a splash pad, playgrounds, sandy area and sitting areas. It's gorgeous especially if you can stay for sunset. It also houses a popular concert/ event venue- the Baycare Sound. They have bathrooms as well so it's the perfect place to bring your family to hang for a while. read more

This is a really nice park that's located in downtown Clearwater with parking available at city parking lots and a nearby garage. They do also have some metered parking in the area. Located on the water, it's a nice place to come for a walk, enjoy nature or go to a concert in the 4000 seat, covered venue that is known as The Sound. It has a beautiful gated playground where your kids are guaranteed to have a fun time. Every Fourth of July they have a great fireworks display over Clearwater Harbor that's not to be missed! When I was there recently I was lucky enough to see the world's largest rubber duck which is a 61 foot art installation that tours the country! read more

This park is a great place to spend a day. I first came to this park to see a concert at The Sound. That's a really neat venue with food trucks and nice bathrooms. It's fully outdoors though so be prepared for the elements. Then I came back with my husband just to walk around the area. We noticed there is a splash pad and a playground. The playground is a good size and I think my kids would love it. There's also a ton of green area where we saw people throwing balls and having picnics. I love that it's right on the water so it's a very pretty view. This park is also near some downtown restaurants (walking distance) so I think it's a great place to come, run the kids around a bit and then walk to get lunch. Overall, this is an awesome park to check out. read more

Came here last night for a Mannhaim Steamroller Concert . The venue is beautiful and spacious. The location was along side the bay which provided a very relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the concert. I could see coming here during the day with our dogs and just taking in all the beauty. We certainly will come back. read more

The newly revamped Coachman Park is a nice spot to spend some time on the water. It reminds me a little bit of the Pier in St. Pete in the fact that they put in a man-made lake and a large children's playground. There are different trails to walk around (including a small bridge over the lake). They have some permanent beach style lounge chairs. There are steps and benches to sit on. There is a large grassy area. There is a bathroom. They also have various art throughout the park. There are some murals and sculptures. They have a neat square fountain with water that trickles down right beside the stairs. There are a decent amount of things to look at and enjoy here. I typically go just to walk around, get some sun and fresh air, and enjoy the water. If there is a concert that night, you might hear the bands rehearsing. That could be good or bad depending on your perspective. I have found parking to be easy during the day (you may have to look further during events or if there is a concert at the Sound). There are two main parking lots. One only has a few spots, but the other is rather large. Parking cost me $1 for 2 hours when I parked in the lot. There are kiosks to pay with your card. I typically park just up the road and walk down to the park. There is plenty of parking in downtown Clearwater if you know where to look. I have been going to Coachman on and off since I was a teenager. I have seen many concerts in the old Coachman park, which was basically a field. I have not seen one at the Sound yet, but it looks really nice. I think the upgrades are nice. It is a great way to spend some time outdoors. Pro tip: If you enjoy art, there is often a free art exhibit in the main Clearwater library that is attached to Coachman. It might be worth checking out if they are open when you visit. read more

Really neat park. I came here for the Clearwater Arts and Music Festival.. wasn't crowded at all (sadly) .. and it was Sunday afternoon on Memorial Day weekend. Heard a few bands play and the view of the ocean was incredible. There also is a water shuttle that will take you over to Clearwater as well. Parking was easy enough to find - just drove around a bit.. walked about 4 blocks to the park. read more

Sad to go to a Chicago concert at this venue and had to leave early, us standing drinking our sodas and water (like others dozen spectators) at the very end of the lawn area, due to drunk people, that were sitting and blocking the steps/stairs, starts messing around with you and family, saying obscenities because we were supposedly blocking their view (again we were not the only ones standing at the very end of the lawn area) calling my wife and daughter names, and even one of the intoxicated man, standing too close to them to provoke arguments or perhaps a fight, sadder is that we informed the situation to the "security" (which were just volunteers) and they didn't do anything, on the contrary, they threatened us that if kept with the commotion we were going to be escorted by the police, which we explained that we were trying to enjoy it but with these drunks it wasn't possible and the "security" tells me to enjoy the concert, daring to put his hands on me as if pushing me which is not at all right. Definitely neither the staff nor the venue are prepared for this or any event. It's a shame that a band as prestigious as Chicago had to perform with a poor sound and lights and to top it off the true fans of them could not enjoy it properly. Our first and last visit to this venue, not recommended, not worth it. read more

This is the place to find the Clearwater festivals throughout the year. It's close to the water, downtown Cleveland St., free parking, a marina for the boats, and access to the Clearwater Ferry. I have been here twice, maybe more. One for the Clearwater Speedboat Festival and one for the 4th of July fireworks. They are super organized, they check bags, and there is nice space to bring your chairs and or blanket and have a picnic. If you are lucky, you will find shade, but most likely not. If it seems like it's going to rain, go sit under the bridge. I learned that from Boon the almighty. I like it here even more, and the 4th of July fireworks from last night make me want to come back asap for the next events in this park. As Arnold Schwarzenegger says, "I'll be back!" read more

This is the park that has the festivals in Clearwater. I was lucky enough to experience the Jazz Holiday here this weekend. What fun! Plenty of parking in and around the park and marina area. They had the stage set up with the background of the water, boats coming and going. Food tents and trucks set up around the perimeter of the grounds. Art booths set up with local artists creations. Most were cash only....so leave your cards at home. Plenty of lawn seating, so bring your blankets and chairs, with a designated VIP gated area. This was a very well organized event, and makes me want to attend more! read more

This is a very fitting venue for concerts and other events that are similar to. They had ample seating and it was very organized. Several food vendors in case you wanted a snack or perhaps a tasty adult beverage and multiple portable bathrooms surrounding. The staff it was working the event was incredible and it was easy to navigate where to go. My favorite part is watching your favorite band play while the Florida sun goes down behind the palm trees creating the most beautiful experience I've ever had at a concert. read more

We came here post-beach on the 4th of July to find a spot to see fireworks. What a great space! Very organized event. They check bags upon entering since it is a kid-friendly festival. There were a ton of people here! Plenty of lawn space to sit and watch the band that was playing on stage. There were vendor booths set up around the park. Towards the back were food vendors selling all sorts of fair foods: giant corn dogs, funnel cake, etc. Cash only. The lines were long! We found a nice spot to watch fireworks near the water. It was a spectacular show! Almost Disney World-like. I loved that they were playing music during the show: Frozen, America songs, etc. I'll definitely check out this park again if we're ever in the area. read more

Beautiful park to walk around in. Right next to a library. There is a little pound here, well cut grass, trimmed bushes, swaying trees, cool ocean breeze, its nice. Came here during the Clearwater Jazz Festival. Came in for the last night..which was definitely not jazz?!?!?!? but I came for the artist who was like a indie folk kinda sound. Anyways, lots of grass seating. hahaha. So bring a foldout chair or a blanket to sit on. Our blanket served as a temporary shelter for us when it started raining. The stage was awesome. Good lighting, cool light effects and a large screen. The sound was good for concert sound. Its loud, bass heavy and kinda echoie because of the surrounding building. Sufficient for a good time. All in all its a nice park and good venue. Ill have to make my way back here for a nice walk on a cool day. No dogs were allowed during the concert btw. read more

Fun N Sun Country Concert- First time I have been to this event, hosted by WQYK 99.5 and Sun Toyota. Headlining was Ronnie Dunn. Other performers were: Chris Cagle, Brett Eldridge, The Farm, IT Hodges, Suite Caroline, and Andy Gibson. There was food concessions and drinks flowing. The concert was FREE, however reserved seating started at $20. There really isn't a bad seat anywhere there. What a blast I had! I definitely will plan to attend next year! read more

This review is for their Fourth of July event: You'll most likely have to pay for parking. Have at LEAST 30$ of cash on hand for parking and the event. They won't let you enter with opened drinks. Even if it's like 95 degrees and you're about to die, they don't care. Once you pass through checking area there's a bunch of vendors (Cash Only!). There was only One ATM open and there will probably be like 5$ extra charges. It was very HOT. Most events have like fans or something for people to cool off. Shade or SOMETHING!!! Trash cans are all spread in odd locations which is inconvenient. They needed about a dozen or more for the amount of people that came. Poorly Organized. The music!! You could barely here them & they started an hour late. I guess the speakers were malfunctioning throughout the park? Anyways I was disappointed. They barely played any Patriotic Music!!! Where was "I'm proud to be an American.." ??? The foods overpriced and they need more vendors for the amount of people going to this event. Coachella Music Fest wasn't even overpriced on water like these guys?! & The staff need to know where stuff is when u ask them. Like a trashcan. Basic information dude. Despite all the bull*****. The fireworks were amazing. If you grab a spot close to the bridge & dock area on the left ( as you walk into the event just walk straight and you'll see). That area has the best view for the fireworks. That's where they'll be setting them off. It's beautiful. read more

I came here for the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, so really my only experience with this park is for a music festival! I thought it was a pretty great place to spend a few hours taking in concerts. There's a big stage set up in the center, with its back towards the bridge, and then everyone sets up their blankets and chairs on the lawn around the pond. There were food and beverage vendors set up on either side of the viewing area. Most of the food was pretty good, coming from food trucks and catering businesses. I do plan on attending this festival again if my schedule allows and would definitely visit this park again. Overall, parking was pretty easy (downtown Clearwater has street parking, lots, and garages), I enjoyed my food, and we weren't overly crowded. There was beer but the atmosphere was very family friendly and people weren't over-consuming. Negative experience with other concert-goers though. When Langhorne Slim and the Law are up there rocking their asses off, you don't YELL at the people who are dancing to the music to sit down...you get up and dance too! So if you're going to go here, either be a super calm person who doesn't get excited about anything, or if you DO get excited and stand up and dance hopefully you won't be phased or insulted by the lazy turds who are yelling at you. If you aren't from the area, be aware that downtown Clearwater is a hotbed of Scientologist activity. The "cute shops" have been replaced by themed propaganda distributors and you WILL receive leaflets. read more

This is a beautiful park right on the water that is filled with plenty of options for anyone interested. There is also a very nice selection of various types of restaurants (casual to upscale) within feet of the park's perimeter. The park is big enough for a nice walk, has lots of playground equipment for kids of all ages, and benches and a gazebo for relaxing to watch the fun. There is a marina attached to the park, so stroll by the varied types of fishing boats, sailboats and even some available for tours or charter. And after a busy day, just watch the pretty sunsets and welcome the evening lights. This is a very nice spot! read more

First line: (10 min) The ID line to prove you were 21 to get a wristband. 2. Second line: (15 min) to buy tickets for beer/water/soda. Beer 12oz = 7 $ water/soda 3$ 3. Third line: (20-30 min) To get beer (warm draft). So 2 drinks for Fogerty means I missed an hour of the show... I then just got back in line to get drinks for ZZ Top. Another long wait. Volume was pretty low for a rock concert also. I like the bands, but honestly the girl scouts selling cookies in front of Publix do a better job of supply and demand. I guess they just wanted to prevent the crowd from getting anything even close to a beer buzz. The bathroom lines were non existent thanks to limited beverages. Bottom Line: Venue either caved to pressure to limit beverage sales or it was amateur hour. Music was good but could have been louder. read more

I'm a big fan of this set up for events. We went to thr toyota fun and sun festival on Sunday and this was my first time here and I thought thr set up was amazing there were lots of vendors for different foods and drinks and the lawn was awesome for the concert. My favorite was cole swindell he sounded amazing outside and 10$ for the event was awesome pricing. I guess last year the same event was free so I assume next year it will be 20$ but it was well worth it. You can also watch the sunset from thr dock area and there were plenty of boats pulled up listening to the concert as well. read more

Really, something ALWAYS seems to be goign on down there - albeit the Annual Clearwater Jazz Festival (my personal fav) or a radio station hosting some great party jam, this is definitely a place to check out. read more

I've heard a lot about this park over the years that I've lived in the area, and last Friday was the first time I'd ever been. The overall park is a very nice and well maintained area. The group I was with was actually meeting up here to take a charter boat out of the Marina area, so the time spent here was very limited. It seems like a great place to enjoy a nice day near the water without the crowds the beach area may bring. I'll definitely be back! read more
