They've got trails to walk, a playground for the kids and the David Martin Soccer Fields on the property. Everything is wonderfully maintained. The lakes/ponds are all full of wildlife of all varieties. Glen Oaks Park is a wonderful venue for jogging, walking, picnics, playgrounds and sports. You should all drop by to see Florida's natural environment. There's lots of shady trees, too!

Glen Oaks Park runs up against a neighborhood on the south side. The west end of the trail passes by some apartment complexes. It has a 1 mile paved trail around a few different retention ponds. The park is beautiful and looks like the city maintains it well. There are a plethora of tall, beautiful, sprawling trees. It would be a nice place to read a book on a cooler day. I saw a few birds here. There are a lot of alligator signs, but I did not find any. The pond contains a massive amount of turtles that come swimming toward you when you walk out on to the overlook. This indicates that people have been feeding them here (which is really not good for the animals, but happens often at parks in our area). The park also has soccer fields, boardwalks with overlooks that go out onto the water, and a small playground. The playground has a small rock wall, a rope web, and a tire swing. It has bathrooms, but they were closed when I visited. I am not sure why. There were not any signs, but the gates were pulled and locked. Overall, it is a decent local park. I probably will not return that often because the trail was a little short for me. It was fun to explore and visit for my first time here.
