Our favorite Tex-Mex place in the area! Coming from Texas it's not always easy finding good Tex-Mex but this place consistently hits the spot. The chips and salsa is what I come here for :)! The interior is decorated super cute. Very cool and fun vibe. Lots of tv's to watch sports. Booths are comfortable and they do have tables to sit as well. Their lunch menu is great and has a long time frame than most restaurants. The full menu has a huge selection and the food is always very good in flavor. They also have a full bar. This was our second time visiting Pineapple Tequila and we were really looking forward to it. While we waited for our table, a few of us sat at the bar and ordered margaritas. They were good, but we did notice they were being poured from a pre-made mix rather than made fresh. Once we were seated, we were immediately given chips and salsa, which were very tasty and a great way to start the meal. For dinner we ordered the birria tacos, steak fajitas, and the dinner served in the pineapple. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious. The flavors were great and the portions were very satisfying. We ordered another round of margaritas at the table and asked if they could be made fresh since the ones at the bar were from a mix. When they arrived, they tasted very weak, almost like there was no alcohol in them. We asked if a little tequila could be added, but we were told all of their margaritas are pre-mixed and we would have to pay extra for additional tequila. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely the highlight of the visit. However, the margarita situation was a little disappointing, especially since we were hoping for freshly made drinks. We would still come back for the food, but hope they consider offering freshly made margaritas in the future. read more

What an amazing space. Friendly staff hustling to take care of a very busy restaurant. Massive menu for both cocktails and food items, I was overwhelmed. Decided on a Tequila Sunrise of sorts (passion fruit and orange juice)....perfection. For dinner I had the Pollo Poblano (grilled chicken and sliced poblano with 3 tortillas. So good. While my preference is shredded beef, their ground beef enchiladas were flavorful, served hot, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. A good place to go for your south of the border food stuff. In short the decor is typical of Mexican establishments. Ambience is moderate, a pleasant smell of the kitchen seeps in. Wait staff scurrying to tables and booths. Food is consistently well prepared and the menu is Latan oriented. A full bar is available featuring Margaritas. I was pleasantly surprised after all the negative reviews after opening. (I know, a long time ago). We were seated immediately (on a Friday about 5:30). Angel was our server. We decided to eat here after reading this is where the locals go to eat. We ordered the molcajete and the chicken enchiladas which were okay. The guacamole is made right in front of you and is very good. Service wise it was very slow and even though our order was placed at the same time we had to wait 10-15 minutes when other plates were served. My parents, brother and I came to this location Saturday night. We have been here before and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. However, on this occasion we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the service we received and the run around explanations. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy however we were seated pretty much right away. After being seated, we were greeted by the server who was very kind. He did share with us that he was new, which was just fine. After giving us a few minutes to review the menu and enjoy some chips and salsa he took our orders. It was 5:30pm. Around 6 PM we were talking amongst ourselves and started to wonder where our food was. The waiter casually mentioned it would be about 15 more minutes. It had been busier when we first walked in, but at this time, many tables had cleared out, and it was not as busy. About 615 the table next to us that had been seated after us was receiving their food. At this point, we were getting a little agitated. We asked the Manager what was going on. She said she would check, the waiter at this point had come around and offered more chips and salsa "on him". Kind of odd since it is something that is complementary. Anyway, he was very polite. 6:30pm rolls around and at this point we had ordered 1 hour prior and I am not exaggerating. The restaurant is welcome to pull up the security camera footage to review this. When we finally got the manager to the table, she gave us some runaround ridiculous story that I don't even remember. However, in reality, if she had just told us the truth that our waiter had inadvertently forgotten to put in our order when he took it at least that would have been a realistic explanation and perhaps they could have offered to comp one or two of our meals for the inconvenience. This did not happen. I looked at the manager and in a very calm tone, said hey we'll take the Bill for the two drinks. My parents ordered which were a Coke and a ginger ale as my brother and I had water and I would pay for that and we were just going to go ahead and go because we were tired of waiting and felt like we were being given the runaround. The manager said OK don't worry about the drinks. We politely got up and left. We were told 15 more minutes the first time we asked about our food and now here we were 30 minutes after asking and an hour after giving our order! Very disappointed. read more
