My family and I have ate at this establishment the past few vacations and thought that the food and service were fabulous, however this past visit was less than. To preface the restaurant was not busy. The service was disappointing. Drinks weren't refilled until asked later on in the service and the waitress was inattentive. As someone who has worked as a waitress for a while, I find this type of negligence a turn off when I am dining. The food was mid at best. We ordered the Crab Dip and the chips came out super stale. Came in to place a Togo order and sat at the bar. The bartender was super sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. We decided to order a round of draft beers while we waited for our order. All of the food was excellent even after driving it back 15 minutes to the rental. We did the man vs food dog, crab dip, a regular hot dog, and the corn dog / hot dog combo. There was an outdoor bar and patio and I almost wished we would have came in to eat instead of taking it Togo it was such a pretty day out. Very cute decorations and tshirts for sale. Well it's a somewhat hidden location which you may miss the turn first time? If you like boats it's attached a marina and boat dealer, Yeah. The restaurant is laid out nicely with inside and patio seating. Outside gives you a view of the marina but not much else. Service was great our waitress on top of everything. The menu choices will keep my guessing but everything we ordered was done very well and served fast and hot or cold as needed be. Love the Old Salty Dog! The owner Phil is hilarious and plays in the band here on Wednesday nights. Our friends are regulars here and so we tagged along to see what all the fuss was about. Both times we have been there, the ambience was great with live music. Service was wonderful and the food is just as good as well.

Came here over spring break at peak hours and it was only a 30 min wait for a party if 3 which was refreshing. The restaurant is kinda hidden behind a boat dealer but the inside is an open garage door concept with a large bar which I love. The service was solid and the food was all delicious. We realized it when we looked around and then the singer proceeded to sing songs and change all the words to fit their agenda. Immediately the daughter of the owner came and got nose to nose In his face and told him , " his kind" was not welcome there . ? We then paid the bill and as we were leaving . A follow up to a couple of months ago. I suspected back then that something changed---ownership, management,...something. Sure enough, our server did tell us that OSD is under new management. I see that the menu is still missing a couple of staples on their menu from the past, including the great shrimp po-boy they once had. Gone from the menu, as is the bun. We went again this past weekend and got the firecracker mahi wrap. This time, the portion of fish was small, and the flour tortilla it was wrapped in was MUCH oversized. In short, it should have been advertised as a tortilla sandwich with a little bit of fish.
