Chicken Fajita was awesome. they asked about what i would like to keep in it and i was able to remove peppers minus just a couple i asked for. This is an upscale Mexican restaurant in Venice, Florida. It used to be the old Chuck and Ale. It's decorated very nicely inside with a Mexican flare and outside. They have a little cabana where you can bring your dog. The service has always been great. We can't get away from all of the seafood Mexican options. All in the tamales are fantastic as well my wife loves the seafood tacos the ceviche and I can't pronounce it but it's shrimp in a red or green sauce. It's delicious. The bean and cheese dip will feed six people. It's huge. We've been there at least six or seven times now it's definitely on my list of go to. read more

I was lucky to find a new Mexican restaurant on Venice Island. There aren't many options like this around, and Cabo Breeze definitely fills the southern tip of Baja vibe gap that we have here. But rather than traveling to Mexico, it's located in a convenient strip mall right in the center of the island, it's easy to find with plenty of free off-street parking. We arrived early, at 4:45 on a Saturday evening, and the place was already packed. I think we grabbed the last available table, which tells me word about this place has already gotten out. Our server was friendly, prompt, and attentive. She immediately brought out a basket of warm chips with salsa. Then she surprised us with three additional, hotter versions of their house-made salsa. Everything tasted fresh and vibrant. Since this was my first visit, I decided to start with a simple meal and ordered the shredded beef enchiladas topped with cheese and tomatillo sauce. The plate came with generous portions of rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made from scratch. Cabo Breeze has a great dinner menu with plenty to choose from, so I'm already looking forward to returning to try something new. I would stay away from the steak. It is not good quality. I now just stay with seafood. Had steak with what was a carry out 14" sub, but not quite, cheese was missing also. Second steak was with a guest I took and she got chicken and steak Fajita's. read more

Loved this place and great to see something at this premise that people are loving. It was PACKED and they opened 2 months ago. Their margs and foods and very good, and you for the amount you get, it's definitely worth it. The portions are HUGE. Overall we will be back often, I'm excited. They just had a grand opening and we got a coupon in the mail. We decided to give it a try. So, we arrived, but forgot the coupon. We were greeted and placed on wait list with an approximate 20 minute wait. We ended up getting 2 seats at the bar and ordered our meals and our drinks. I had a three chicken burrito and the wife had a taco salad. The food was normal tasting with prices ranging ($18-24) and certainly plentiful. The drinks were normal tasting, but drink prices were sky high. We were charged $26 for a double whiskey ($2 of which was listed as extra ice), weird. Our phone finally rang and they had a table for us, it had been over 50 minutes on that wait list. Good thing we sat at the bar. Our final bill was over $75 for 2 meals and 2 drinks (1 each). The place was packed, the food was flowing, the staff were trying to keep up. But, unfortunately our server got no tip tonight. And normally we are generous. We most likely will not return to this establishment. There are other Mexican restaurants that are spot on and worth visiting. read more

Tried Cabo Breeze for the first time and loved it. It was busy, but not crowded. Our server Alli was very attentive and super sweet. The food was fantastic. I had a chorizo taco and a beef burrito. The chorizo taco was so good and the burrito was good as well. The red sauce is a little on the sweet side but that was quickly remedied with their scratch made hot sauces. Very good and hot! (Took them home to try on everything). My husband had the quesabirria tacos and they were amazing. The white rice was shockingly good. Tons of flavor. Actually finished it, unlike other Mexican places where it stays on the plate. Drinks were reasonable and also good. We will definitely go back to try more of the menu. read more

Our waitress, Iris, was so kind and accommodating. Our party went from 4 people to 6, and she immediately cleared our table and moved us to a new table. I would have left more if you hadn't asked for so much. Next time I may not be as generous as I was unless the server literally earns it. (After we paid and tipped more than fair, we sat at least 30 minutes with empty water glasses and without a follow-up.) If you are not absolutely thrilled with the service, ask them where the custom amount is where you can put in the good old 15%. I was a little surprised to see how busy they were considering they had just opened three days ago. However, parking was a "Cabo Breeze" despite the crowd. We were seated quickly and our server came within a minute or two to greet us and take our drink orders. Neither of us had cocktails, but their drink menu was huge. We ended up ordering the veggie fajitas and Carnitas dinner. This was some of the best Mexican food I have had anywhere , and I relocated from Chicago! Husband chicken quesadilla dry and lonely on the plate. No sides or sauce or even a topping of lettuce. Taco salad wet lettuce with frozen veggies on top. But that's on me - I should know better than to try and get a fresh salad in Venice. Gotta love when salad dressing comes in Ken's containers - perfect for the beach, but weird in a restaurant. And I agree with everyone here that there is a strange fish taste and smell to everything. A group of us went to Cabo breeze for dinner Saturday night. There were seven of us, so we were a fairly large group. The outdoor area of the restaurant is cozy and comfortable. The indoors was nice, but the lighting was a bit too bright. We were seated right away and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Our food came out piping hot and the order was absolutely correct. Well - first thing management should do is- hire a good , dedicated , bartender . If you're going to offer , say 9 or so different margaritas then have the person making them know what they're actually doing . If we're spending like $32 bucks for a couple drinks maybe they could be done right . There's that . The place isn't huge and fills up like a fishbowl full of hungry piranhas . There was obviously a need for something different in this part of town - it's been oh about five years since we were told at Mi Pueblo it was a two hour wait for some tacos . The fajitas were done right here . Nice mix of veggies and assorted sides and mains . Decent guacamole- not terrific just well - decent . Service was good - servers and everyone actually is on their toes . If weather allows the outside patio is a nice spot -we were there on a coolish night and only a couple people braved the exterior side of the bar . Good draft beer options and desserts . Great food at a fair price. Carnitas are the best I have had since leaving the west. Choriqueso is great, a good blend of chorizo, onions, and queso. Salsa is chunky with fresh ingredients. Highly recommended for a more Western style Mexican food. read more
