This review is long overdue as we recently celebrated our 1 YEAR anniversary in our new home, and still can hardly believe it's ours! Our experience buying our very first home was such an enjoyable, positive one. We know the Lord provided every part of this blessing, and that included Devin! From our very first meeting, nothing was left to chance! Seeing real estate prices only go up year after year, my husband and I knew we needed to start looking to buy a home for ourselves. The thought of it was intimidating and seemed far within our reach. We started casually checking out open houses every Sunday, and it was at one of these open houses that we met Devin where he was showing a client's home. Although he wasn't our agent (yet) he was so easy to talk to, and educated us with so much useful information in the short 10 minutes we spoke. Now fast forward to the open house we looked at right after his. Although this house was out of our price range, it was more like a curious viewing for us. We loved it so much that we ended up leaving... then coming back to look at it again the same day. At this point we realized that the next time we came upon a home that we liked so much, we better be ready with an agent, which we didn't have yet. Called a few people... but didn't feel the connection. Kept thinking back to "that really nice guy" at the open house, Devin. We gave him a call, and in a couple days were sitting across from him, signing papers and he was showing us TONS of available properties online!! Devin was the BEST agent we could have ever hoped for. He exceeded our expectations in every way: 1) Comfort Level: he's so easy to talk to, ask any and as many questions and was always so, so pleasant. I tend to be a people pleaser and I told him this from the start. He totally got me! I always felt comfortable that if I didn't like something, I could tell him, no problem...move on! No need to waste time seeing places that we didn't like... he really valued our time! His personality is so easy and he's truly a kind and nice guy. Very genuine. 2) Patience: being this was our very first home-buying experience, we were very lay to everything real estate and needed someone to help us understand the process without feeling rushed. He explained every step to us... buying our first home was truly an enjoyable, exciting experience! 3) Knowledge/Contacts: I was already looking at homes on Zillow and OahuRE... but Devin had so many others that we never saw! There were so many that fit our budget and area we were looking in. I couldn't believe the resources he had! For someone who didn't live here all their life... is young... you'd never know. The wealth of knowledge and associates/contacts he has just blow me away! This is just another plus for his clients. Devin also put us in touch with his go-to guy for our mortgage/loan. This person was also AMAZING! All the application process was done over the phone and online. It WAS EASY. They do all the leg work for you. 4) Professional: Devin is VERY PUNCTUAL. Always on time. A couple times we ran a few minutes late, and he was very gracious. Observing his interaction with other professionals, it was nice to see they enjoy working with him and he is respected. He does his homework so you don't have to, and he's always prepared on his client's behalf. In the end... my husband and I ended purchasing our dream home... yes, the one we saw just after we met Devin. We didn't realize it then, but it was totally within our budget, and we were even able to consider a 15 year mortgage over a 30! There were parts of the negotiating process that we would have gladly accepted, not knowing the options. Devin could have easily said, cool... you guys are okay with it, so no need to change anything. But did I mention he works VERY HARD for his clients!? Yup, even if we were willing to accept a condition, he advocated for us and we were able to get added benefits and a lower selling price, in our favor. Everything went so smooth, we were even given the option to close in under 30 days. WOW! So here we are, one year later, living in our dream house!! I just want to say my experience with Devin Tyran today and can't believe he has 5 stars in review here in Yelp. I am not a yelper nor active in SNS, I am a house wife who listed property under FSBO (For Sell By Owner). This morning got a call from Keller Williams and made a my unit showing appointment at 2:30 pm and found out agent name Devin Tyran will visit with his client at 2:30pm. I had 2 other showing this morning at 11:30 am & 12:30 pm. Argents came on time and it was fun experience to show my unit and dialogue with agents and their clients. I had to pick up my son by 2:30 pm, so I called and spoke to Debbie from Keller Williams and instructed her that I will leave my unit door open and all the lights and a/c will be on, so after Devin is done with his client at 2:30 pm visit, just tell him that lock the unit door and I will come back later to turn off lights and A/C. I also arranged with bldg. security and admin office staff to accommodate Davin for 2:30 showing to open the condominium lobby door as soon as he gets to the building, so he has easy access to my unit. I arranged with my Bldg. security and staff because I had to leave with my unit unlocked which Davin knows, since his office lady got instructed! 2:57pm, I've got a call from my condominium staff that Keller William agent, Davin did not show up yet but if he is or late, next shift staff will accommodate the agent. (How prompt and good service here in my building staff!!!) So I called Keller William office to notify that agent didn't show up by 2:57 which almost 3 pm without any call or texting me and Keller William office lady gave me Davin's contact info. and called him. He answered in 1st ring and I said "hello" and he said I will call you in 20 minutes!" So I said okay and I hung up. But I am busy and I do not wish to wait another 20 minutes for him for WHAT? What he telling me to wait for him 30 + 20 = 50 minutes??? Davin texted me then, " call you back soon" I texted him, I wanted to know if you are still coming for 2:30 pm showing or not at 2:59 pm. Then he said probably not b/c he and his clients running behind. I was so disappointed because he could have texted me or called me earlier. What If I didn't call him at 2:57 pm? After 30 minutes late, he will call back in 20 minutes? After today's experience with him, probably he would not have the courtesy to inform me to cancel the showing or that he is running late. I never met him before. I don't know him. But what I know is that when I schedule a meeting or any type of appointment and I think I am going to be late, I will call or text let the person know rather than making them wait. It is basic. Be careful if you schedule with Davin because he will not let you know if he's late or not coming at all. If I was a licensed broker or sales agent, would you still do what you did to me today, Davin? read more

Devin Tryan was a listing agent when I was the buyer and I bought my house. Final walk through, it wasn't the same condition as on the day we did the inspection. The floor was tile and cracked all the way from entrance to the lanai side. First, seller and agent didn't tell us about the material damage until we did final walk through. They must to disclose the fact as soon as possible since our interest rate was going to go up next couple days but they didn't. Second, their response was very slow and gave us low ball offers to repair the tiles. Just let you know that the same tile was all the way to master bedroom, second bedroom and bathroom which means need to repair all the floors. We were very anxious about the process because of them. This review is long due review. Devin got us into our home when the entire market was locked down last December 2020. We had been outbid four times in a row and had visited over 40 homes/open houses. Right when we were ready to give up Devin actually began cold calling homes that were no longer listed for sale. After some hang ups someone on the same day actually let us in and gave us a tour of his home. After some negotiations back and forth we finally ended up closing on our home. My mother and I would enjoy spending our Sunday afternoons looking at open houses. We knew that one day we would move in together however it wasn't high on our priority list. On one particular Sunday we came across a beautiful home and Devin was there to greet us. Upon meeting him we instantly had a nice feeling about him. Although we have friends and family in the industry we didnt feel we needed an agent. Devin had politely asked if he could contact us in the future and we agreed but (in case he was an pushy realtor) I told him frankly that, "we were not looking to buy anytime soon." Over a few months Devin would check in. Mom and I were appreciative of his time and consideration that when we finally decided to actively pursue a home purchase we knew that we wanted to work with Devin or as my mom would say the, "young haole boy". Looking back I cant believe Devin stuck with us for so long! Honestly, mom and I were probably one of his toughest clients since we made so many adjustments to what we were looking for. This has been a long time coming with the process of Devin helping me through a 1031 Exchange process for my property on Oahu.
