I was referred to Caron by my realtor in Southern California. We communicated for a couple months prior to my visit to Honolulu in August. Once we arrived, Caron already knew what we were looking for and had several properties scheduled for us to tour. Unfortunately, we were unable to find the ideal property during our visit. Inventory was low and being that we live on the 9th island, the cost per square foot was no comparison to Vegas. I was very impressed with Caron's enthusiasm and knowledge of the local market. I know she keeps very busy, but during the time she spent with us, we felt like we were her only client! Without a doubt, when we find our home in Oahu, Caron will be our agent! In the meantime, she will continuing to keep her real estate radar searching for the perfect property that will have our name on it! read more

Caron is incredibly thoughtful, customer-oriented, and importantly, knowledgeable about the local market. When my husband and I started to seriously contemplate our move to Honolulu from SF, Caron selected a great range of properties within our price range to help us understand the options. Caron was super easy to talk to -- you will never feel pressured and will only feel grateful to have her on your side. I could tell during our short time together that Caron was a huge advocate for her clients and would go above and beyond for them. Now that we have made the move (renting first), we cannot wait to have Caron help us find a more permanent option. read more

Caron helped me purchase my condo in Waikiki and I'm extremely happy with all of the support and guidance she provided me remotely since I live in California. As a mortgage broker I've worked with Caron Ling on a number of transactions for her buyers, but now that she helped with my mom's new condo purchase, I can finally leave Caron a legitimate review that she so highly deserves! She is the Broker In Charge of List Sotheby's Kahala and is a Certified Residential Specialist, which means she knows what she is doing. When it came time for my mom to downsize from her 3 bedroom home to a one-bedroom condo, I could think of no better person to entrust my MOM to than Caron Ling. She always give such great service to her clients, so I knew she would do the same for me. Since my mom's first language is Japanese, I asked Caron to find an agent that would be able to cater to that, and she found the perfect one. From there on out it was the other agent that handled a majority of the work, but Caron was kept updated constantly throughout the process. When it comes time for me to buy a home, I will be using Caron Ling, and I highly recommend anyone to use her to! read more

Caron made our home buying experience on Oahu a memorable part of our journey to getting settled in our new home. With her, the home buying process was not just something to struggle through, it was a fun and playful, yet focused process. We couldn't imagine getting the same results with another realtor, nor having as much fun during the home buying process! Caron took the time to get to know us as people so she could better serve us as clients. And her service was top notch! After only a few home showings she had a great feel for our taste and what we were after. Her guidance and advice was spot on throughout our process. As an experienced professional, Caron has developed an expansive network here on Oahu. Her style and ease when conducting business in stressful situations has been cultivated over many years. Let me just say, you want Caron in your corner. Helpful does not even scratch the surface to describe Caron. She had a recommendation for everything we needed help with, from where to order dinner while on quarantine, to who we should get to do our home repairs of all varieties, to who would be the best fit to work with for our home loan. Her endurance and patience were commendable, as we worked long hours together scouring the listings and discussing the pros and cons of various locations. She was always responsive to us, making us feel like we were her only clients even though she managed a busy schedule. Caron was thoughtful and sensitive to the stress of the process for our family. Moving to an island in the Pacific is never an easy task, especially during a global pandemic. But Caron was unflappable and flexible working with us. Most importantly, she was always optimistic and positive. Caron is incredibly generous, reliable, sincere, communicative and just knows how to get things done! She consistently went above and beyond. Anyone moving to Oahu would be so incredibly lucky to work with this wonderful agent! read more

Caron helped us buy a home in Kaneohe, which took time. We made a number of offers before something worked. Caron was absolutely fantastic, staying with us every step of the way! She put us in touch with a loan officer, a carpenter, and a property manager--all of whom are great. I cannot imagine a better realtor. read more

Caron is a wonderful and warm person who really helped me out in my real estate journey. When looking to buy my first home I was unsure of where to start. Caron was so helpful and responsive every step of the way. Not only did she take the time to find a great place that met our needs, but she really added a personal touch that made the whole interaction feel both professional and like family, which is hard to do! I tend to be pretty reserved and stand-offish on transactions, just because I like to be shielded, but no matter what she was professional, kind, energetic and enthusiastic towards all of my needs. I couldn't be happier with my place or with we service, and now every day I wake up loving the home she helped me find. Thanks Caron! read more

I worked with Caron a few months ago when trying to find a new place. She came highly recommended from a work colleague and a few minutes into our first call, I could see why. Caron was so gracious with her time and sent me a number of options that really fit the criteria of what I was looking for. In addition to that, she was always quick to respond to any questions/requests and was a godsend during in-person visits. She isn't just concerned with finding you a place and moving on the the next. She took her time to make sure all of my questions were being answered and even some that I hadn't thought to ask. Moving here from San Diego (especially during COVID) was challenging, but Caron helped me feel right at home. Typing this from my beautiful apartment that is everything I hoped it would be, I can promise you that Caron can and will do the same for you. Working with Caron and her team was an absolute delight! Her hard working nature and genuinely good heart make working with her soooo easy and stress free. Caron stepped over and above what's expected from a realtor and she did absolutely everything to make me feel comfortable through what's normally a stressful process. Don't know where all these glowing reviews came from, but my experience with Caron was Completely Different. 2 days after I first contacted her, she informs me of her "ground rules" - one of them being NOT to expect a reply to sent emails for at least 24 hours unless SHE deems them as being urgent! Have never heard of such a thing with any of the other real estate agent that I have Ever dealt with! P.S. I deemed my emails (not that many actually, only a couple on this matter) as Urgent as I was trying to get everything booked for a flt. to HNL early Friday morning and emailed her if 1 Property was still available (as that was the one I was interested in seeing) on Wednesday at noon their time. I FINALLY receive her reply on Thursday morning, less than 24 hours before the flt. is scheduled to leave! By then it was Too Late to make all the necessary arrangements (flt., dog, hotel, car, pack, etc.). I guess she didn't think my emails were urgent (to her anyway). So within 24 hours to find out it 1 property was still available, was Too Much to ask of her customer service skills I guess - then she sends All her ground rules! Wish she would have stated her ground rules in the beginning, and not Wasted ANY of my time. Another one of her many ground rules is to Not use Capital Letters in reflecting urgency, stating she thought that was disrespectful. I do agree my situation was a little bit demanding (trying to find out if 1 property was still available ASAP), but at least I thought she would realize the urgency of me knowing this one little piece of information and maybe her having to bend one of her rules in order to for me to make all the arrangements necessary to leave my house and go to HNL for a few days. But oh no, that's much to ask to do. So I wanted to alert other people that she wasn't nearly as nice to me as she appears to be on Hawaii Life. Bad Experience.. read more

Super-friendly and personable, hard-working and deeply knowledgeable. Caron did a fabulous job understanding what I was looking for, educating me regarding local market issues, and was always going that extra mile to make things happen. It sounds a bit like a cliche, but she's genuinely passionate about the work and helping connect people with the right place for them. Highly recommended. read more

After having a bad experience with another realtor, my husband and I were beyond frustrated and losing hope. As first time home buyers, my wife and I knew little to nothing about buying a home. We were lucky to have Caron walk us through the entire process. She patiently answered all our questions and made sure that we understood the homebuying process. Caron's personable and positive attitude made her so easy to work with. Of all the many talents Caron has, the most valuable was her wealth of knowledge and experience. We had hundreds of questions about everything from mortgages to flooring and she always provided sound advice. As we continued on with the process, she really earned our trust. Once we found our property, Caron steered us through mortgage options, loan officers, home inspectors and potential contractors. She made an incredibly complicated process as simple as possible for us. Caron was always available and incredibly prompt in answering all our requests. She kept us on track with any deadlines and continually followed up with us to make sure that we were comfortable with the process. Beyond the homebuying experience, Caron has continued to follow up with us and help us with home-related questions and issues and has even recommended great vendors to work with. To sum it up, Caron was great to work with and would always go the extra mile. read more

Caron and Barbie Hee were a great team to work with! Caron is super personable and has a great ability to profile her client(s) and understand what they're looking for. She is super patient and literally stayed with us in this process for years...from the time we were first introduced, to when we were actually ready to sell our home, to when we purchased the new one. In that time, she literally saw our children grow up, but was professional and positive throughout our journey to find our new home. We appreciated her positive outlook and she encouraged us to price our home at a higher price (than what we were thinking) for the sale, and to make sure we had a good strategy regarding how to put our home on the market. We ended up getting 2 full-priced offers in less than 2 weeks! (And this with us being out-of-town during the open houses.) Their advice was super instrumental in helping us navigate and negotiate those 2 offers as well, which helped us pick the right buyer, and as such the process went smoothly and without any issues. When it came to the search for a new home, we saw so many over an entire year. There were times we were quite disheartened because we weren't finding anything we loved, or it was out of our price range. A couple of times we almost caved in to buying something we didn't love ...and Caron actually talked us out of it! Clearly she put our best interests before just making a closing, something I truly, truly appreciate. She also talked me out of a beautiful 3 story home, when I couldn't see past the aesthetics and beautiful renovations to see the inconvenience of climbing up and down 3 flights every day and some other issues I was trying to brush aside. SO glad we didn't get that either. When we finally found the home we really wanted, we also so appreciate Barbie's wisdom in positioning our offer just right. We were thinking of low-balling it but she wisely cautioned against that approach-it still being a seller's market and said she would personally put in a higher/stronger offer that would put us in prime position to get it accepted. She was right. Our offer was accepted in 2 days! The process was again smooth and we closed in a month. Totally recommend these 2 ladies and would work with them again. Thank you Caron and Barbie!! read more

Caron is not only an amazing realtor, she is also an amazing person who will help you enjoy every step of your home buying process. I was so impressed with how hard she worked in order to find me something that fit exactly what I had in mind. After our first group of showings, Caron quickly honed in on what elements I liked and what I didn't. I was in a bit of a time crunch and we hit a few stumbling blocks along the way with sellers who did not want to accept VA financing but Caron stayed positive the entire time even when I didn't! Eventually her hard work payed off and we got an offer accepted! Thanks Caron!! read more

My wife and I worked with Caron on purchasing our first place. She seemed like a real go getter when we first met which is what encouraged us to go with her as we were first time home buyers. During the process we were looking for our first place but didn't want to break the bank. Caron provided us with all the answers we needed to make an informed decision. Being around the same age she could understand our apprehensiveness about making certain decisions but in the long run we ended up with a great property and a great friend. We recently just closed on our second property which took a while to find and through all that Caron still took care of us and was patient about looking and finding that right home. We looked at different homes for her to get an idea of what we were looking for. Just so happens that we found a property on a whim and I did a quick view at the open house and I was very impressed with the home and I immediately contacted Caron. In no time we had an offer in and were are now new owners of a great home that has a lot of potential. I recommend Caron to anyone that is looking for a get up and go kinda girl that can do the job with a personal approach. I didn't feel that it was her and us. It was more like a team and she sincerely had our interests at heart. read more

A lot of realtors out there want to show you three properties and then have you choose one. The end. Caron was the opposite of this kind of realtor. With her, we never felt pressured into buying. She was enormously patient, supportive and encouraging while helping us, gently, to gain a more realistic idea of the market. The leads she showed us were sensitive to the aesthetics we were going for, our wish list, and our price point. Through closing, she answered all of our (exhaustive) questions. And even after as we started to renovate, Caron remained an important part of our lives, providing solid recommendations that came through and did good work. I can't imagine haven't bought our place with anyone else. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a place to buy. She is interested in helping individuals make good decisions for the long run. read more

My wife and I are very pleased with the service provided by Caron. I most appreciated Caron's ability to listen and understand our needs and desires in a house. Caron made the stressful process of buying a house almost enjoyable with her upbeat spirit and a clear enthusiasm for her work. read more

Caron was professional and very pleasant to work with. She's very knowledgable of the market. We discussed exactly what I was looking for (I was a first time homebuyer looking for a condo in the downtown area). She sent me a link to a bunch of great listings (she paid great attention to the details, likes/dislikes, needs/wants that I listed out when I told her what I was looking for). I told her which listings I was interested in, then she drove me out to see the properties. Caron was always available to answer any questions/concerns promptly throughout the entire process. The condo that I eventually made an offer on was nearly as perfect a match as I could get. The whole buying process went by very quickly, and within a couple months I was living in my new home. I've been living here for about 6 months now, and I couldn't be happier with my condo! Overall, a great first-time homebuyer experience and it was a pleasure working with her. read more

Caron Ling was an excellent agent when I bought my first place in 2010. I didn't know much about the process when I started to look at options (I was interested in taking advantage of the tax credit) and throughout, I found her to be patient, helpful, thorough and responsive. She works with the hours you are available and makes sure no details fall through the cracks. She has a very solid grasp of the local market (and especially condos) and found a unit for me in a desirable building where similar units are offered only once every couple of years. I had many moments of panic when I wasn't sure I was doing the right thing, but with her trademark sense of humor and patience, she talked me through my concerns. I never felt like I was pressured to do anything, and I felt she always had my interests and "wish list" as her first priority. To add to this, despite her sunny demeanor she is a skilled negotiator when the situation calls for it (skills honed during extensive professional development she seeks out, eg at the Columbia School of Business negotiation course) and managed to get the seller to drop their asking price by several thousand dollars at a clutch point. I now live in a great unit and can say that Caron was an integral part of this happy ending! read more

Caron assisted us long distance on our move for work - we were still on the mainland. We never met her ONCE personally until AFTER we closed on the property. We were going through the loss of a terminally ill family member as well, and the timing of it all was such a strange dynamic. Caron worked with us so professionally. She really stepped up her game, writing letters to home owners on our behalf to scout out who might be willing to sell. After several deals fell through - from restrictions by our lender - she never gave up ONCE. It's like she had the right approach/ strategy to re-work the problem every time something happened.Given the time-difference and distance between us., she had A LOT on her plate to reconcile; particularly when we never set foot in the place, she found several ways to communicate effectively. She was always working the deal, and available to us: sometimes we received texts knowing she was up late/early still trying to make it work out for us. There were several obstacles she overcame. Primarily, she found a condo that fit our dog - A HUGE obstacle. NO condo that we were interested in would accept our big dog, yet she found one that would. Next, our lender had so many hoops to jump through for condos it was ridiculous, she managed to meet their timeline for all requirements. She basically held our hand through the entire process. She's amazing and should be recognized for the outstanding service she provides. We will DEFINITELY recommend her to all our colleagues and neighbors. I've worked with several realtors both personally and professionally (as a mtg broker) and I have to say, she's the best in her field. read more

Caron, along with her assistant, Paige, were wonderful in every way. Caron was quick to understand what we were looking for, very knowledgeable about all aspects of her trade. She was an excellent communicator and was also easy to meet with. She took me around to view properties. She has a keen sense of the market and negotiating. She and Paige continued to be so helpful for months after the property closed, helping us to coordinate work being done while we were still stateside. We are very happy with all aspects of our relationship and are very happy that we have met Caron and Paige. She was patient and thorough in educating us about procedures and costs as related to various condo associations. Caron and Paige are nice, smart, capable, seem to love what they do, and I cannot give them enough praise. She held our hand every step of the way, and continues to be a valuable contact today. If you are interested in property in the Honolulu area, I think it would be hard to find better. We recommend her/them without reservation.
