I liked…read morethe atmosphere: just like an old-fashioned pizzeria with a few tables, cranking out to-go orders. As I've said in other reviews, I am attempting to try every single pizzeria I can find, and there are quite a few in Ocean county. I am judging all of their plain Neapolitan pizza. Tony's was fairly priced; I actually had two slices. They had a higher than average cheese to sauce ratio. The crust was very good. He also gave me a couple of slices of some kind of upside down Sicilian pizza that I put in the toaster oven the next day. They had this Italian oregano on them, not overwhelming, and they were surprisingly much better than I thought they were gonna be. I didn't think I would like them, but I loved them. I will definitely return when I'm in the area and try other things on the menu.

8/21/25 - Before the game, we grabbed slices at the highly rated Bacali Pizza in Lakewood. I should…read morehave known better as Lakewood isn't exactly a pizzeria hotbed. The bad: the crust on the plain underneath and on the outer rim was extremely dry. So it gives you decent crunch but not much on flavor. It's clear that they are not rubbing the dough with olive oil. Pretty sure they aren't mixng any oil in the dough either. The cheese is definitely not 100% real whole milk mozzarella cheese. There's some in the mix for sure, but there's some of the cheap stuff in there as well. The sauce was bland too. No oregano flavor. No basil flavor. Very little garlic flavor. All of these shortcomings apply to the Sicilian slice with one other noticeable problem. The crust on the Sicilian absolutely has NONE of that Sicilian pizza taste. They are likely making the crust using the same dough as they use for their neopolitan pies. The result is--- it makes it taste like their regular pizza just thicker. That's a fail. Overall Rating: C-

Stopped in and decided to try the Chicken Caesar Wrap with fries and a pinwheel…read more The wrap was served cold, and unfortunately the chicken was cold as well. The chicken itself was just okay--nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out flavor-wise. For $14 for an 8-inch wrap, I think the price is fair, but I was expecting a little more. The highlight of the meal was definitely the fries. For just an extra $2, adding a side of fries was absolutely worth it. They were the best part of the entire meal. The pinwheel was bad. When heated up very oily and has a sweet taste . I actually chose it cold on purpose so I could heat it up later, and for a grab-and-go option, it worked well. I considered getting pizza, but the slices on display looked like they had been sitting out for a while and didn't appear fresh, so I decided to pass and go with the wrap and pinwheel instead. Overall, wouldn't go again, personally two options, but form your own. Nothing really wowed us, but the fries were excellent, the portions were decent, and it's a solid option if you're looking for something quick and convenient. Honestly 2.0 outta 5.
