Good little neighborhood luncheonette for cheap eats offering old fashioned family friendly service located at the corner of Spruce St and Massabesic St. Breakfast is served all day. The prices here remind me of the 1990s. The most expensive omelets served with toast are $3.60. Coffee is 85 cents. Souvlaki sandwich with fries is $5.25. My boss and I stopped in for lunch and sat down at the lunch counter with stool seats. There's also a dining room with booth seating with TV. The breakfast menu offers the typical egg dishes, omelets, French toast, pancakes, panfries, hash, toast, etc. The lunch/dinner menu offers sandwiches, grinders, burgers, souvlaki, gyros, shishkabobs, pizza, fried seafood, chicken, pasta, soups, salads, sides, and desserts (pudding, pie slices). Specials are offered too. My boss ordered a special: Chicken Sandwich, Fries, Soup, and soda for only $4.50. The cup of chili soup was tasty. The chicken sandwich (deep fried processed chicken patty, lettuce, tomato, mayo on a bun) was good and reminded me of the chicken burgers I had in the college dining hall. The golden brown fries were salted, crispy on the outside, soft inside. I had the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce ($4.50) served with white bread & butter. The spaghetti was very thin and soft with lots of good meat sauce, a good portion of food. I had a side of fries ($1.50) to dip in the meat sauce. The overall dining experience was very interesting in this neighborhood diner. The other clientele were regulars, several older locals who were dressed very nicely in their suits, who conversing in Greek with the owners. The food was very basic and tasty diner fare. We spent only $15 on lunch for two including tax and tip, not bad for 2008! The service here was generally easy going and friendly. 3 STARS! During lunch, a female customer came in to pick up 4 large pizzas. The older owner "went the extra mile" and brought out the 4 large pizza boxes and insisted on carrying the pizzas out to the customer's car, parked a few blocks away. Wow, I haven't seen that kind of service at any other place in the city. +1 STAR HOURS: Mon-Tue: 7AM-3PM; Wed: 7AM-6PM; Thurs-Fri: 7AM-7PM; Sat: 7AM-3PM; Sun: CLOSED

If you're in or around Manchester and looking for great pizza, don't sleep on Pizza by Rocco. It's…read morea little off the beaten path, but it's an absolute gem whether you're grabbing takeout or stopping in for a solid slice. I tried the chicken broccoli pizza and it was honestly unbelievable. Chicken and broccoli is usually a heavier style pizza, but somehow they kept it thin and crispy. I don't know how they pulled that off, but the crust still had a perfect crunch while holding all the toppings without getting soggy. Everything tasted fresh and the balance of flavors was spot on. Places like Sally's Apizza and Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana get a lot of the spotlight, but if Pizza by Rocco had a prime time location and more exposure, I honestly think they'd be competing in the same conversation. Manchester is lucky to have a spot like this. Definitely worth checking out. Seems like the guys that run the place are really solid people as well, will definitely be back.

The wife stated she prefers Regina's out of the north end of Boston and I agreed. The Greek salad was very good but the dressing comes in a very small container. We should've asked for at least one more for the size of the salad. The prices on the wall menu are $1-$2 dollars more so keep that in mind. Minimal street parking. Our pizza was $22. No ambiance to speak of. No ac so I felt bad for the chef back there. I waited outside as it was much cooler.

I think I've said this before but again still searching for my pizza spot…read moreAnd by golly I have found it The large pepperoni pizza for 16.00 and some change had all the right proportions so much so that when I got home and opened the box it was not a grease ball from all the pepperoni and the huge amounts of cheese and when you bite it, you didn't get a burnt lip from the excessive pizza sauce the flavor of the sauce was sweet sauce which I prefer over garlicky sauce The crust was cooked perfect It was not to thick not to thin and right amount of crunch Also it was great as my breakfast The service was fast and efficient very polite very professional The inside looks like a pizza joint but only a more to go than dine in kinda place but I'm sure they will welcome you to sit and eat I'm a local and will recommend and will return

I ordered the Italian sub with the everything. They assured me that my food allergy (carrots) would be a problem for my order. My Italian sub was very very good. The bell peppers on it were a surprise but a pleasant one. They added a nice crunch and sweetness to the sub. I do wish there was a little more meat on it however that is just a matter of preference. Over filling sub is definitely problematic so I don't really fault them in this. Overall I had a great sub and experience. I will keep Annula's on my list anytime I'm in Manchester.
