After that, she just worked on my body and let me blissfully zone out. Later, I found out that Iliana is the massage therapist that lots of people request, so if you want a wonderful massage, this is the woman to seek out. The only thing I would have changed: I wish she worked on my glutes a little more! I probably should have told her to go for it, but I was too busy being in that peaceful, liminal space that a great massage puts you in, so I just let it go. In general, I feel like Woodhouse Spa is visited by people who don't get massages regularly, or at all, so perhaps the massage therapists focus more on neutral areas, like the back, neck, legs and arms. Which is fine and understandable. But I've been getting regular massages for a long time, so to me, glutes are a must. I'm fortunate to have a transcendental, all-of-the-superlatives massage therapist who I see regularly, but if I were to visit Woodhouse Spa on a regular basis and see Iliana, I would definitely make it a point to tell her: "Andale pues!" One of the reasons you visit a Woodhouse Spa location is for the facilities. This is a place where you spend at least an hour or two luxuriating under the waterfall showers, contemplating life in the wet and dry sauna, and hanging out in the dark sitting room with a glass of wine or cucumber-infused water. Unfortunately, I didn't get to do any of those fun and relaxing things because I had a busy agenda that day; I barely had time to drink a glass of water in the waiting room before my massage, and then I had to split shortly after. But for everyone else: Do yourself a favor and block off a chunk of time to just spend time futzing around the spa area. It's a nice spa, and you will enjoy yourself if you give yourself enough time.

The glenbrook one sent me to the other since that one was the one I signed up with. So I proceeded to call west Jefferson who I signed up with and the front desk told me I had to get an override from the manager so I waited all weekend until wednesday when she called. She told me I wasn't allowed to transfer since I was in cancelation. That the time before was a one time courtesy and wouldn't be allowed again. I asked why it was allowed since the contract I signed and the cancelation form didn't say anything about not being able to transfer massages. She said that something she will bring up to corporate and then proceed to say I won't be able to but she can book me a massage. I think it's ridiculous that, something I had paid for, isn't allowed to be transferred regardless of me canceling my membership. I paid for it and should be allowed to use it how I please. This experience and the cancelation experience has dettered me from ever resigning with massage envy again. I'm disappointed and, quite frankly, disrespected that what I paid for isn't able to be used how I see fit. I hope this issue can get resolved for me and future customers and ultimately have the west jefferson office(management) aware of policies and not withhold massages and paid for services against any further paying customer.

Annie had just given me a 60 min full body massage and I was so relaxed it took me a few minutes to figure out what errands I had to complete before getting to my tennis match later that evening. I don't get massages often (actually, I can count them all on one hand), but I do have to say, this was probably the best one I've had. Deep enough to let out the tension (ie. hurt), but soothing enough to relax. At one point during the massage I think I was having an 'out of body' moment.' I am glad that there was no conversation other than the very basics, as a few years ago I had one CMT talk the whole way through the session. Also, the ambiance was very relaxing...I guess as relaxing as it can be for a guy (most clients I am guessing are women...if they were men the Spa would have ESPN & sports on several TVs in the waiting area and this was not the case.) Water fountain sounds, soothing music, green tea, and low lights were found...as to be expected. I think we will be going back (oh yeah, my wife also had the same treatment, and she's had more massages than me, and she was also very impressed.) Everyone knows where Spiece is, but I didn't know the Day Spa was there also, tucked around the left corner of the building. I am glad I know now!

I received a very thorough tour showing me all of the services available in this gorgeous salon/boutique with the most adorable vibe, $20 off my first service as a new client, a consultation where she took notes on what I was looking to obtain with my hair, was offered a beverage or snack of choice, and a goodie bag containing personalized notes from my service, coupons for future use, a complimentary purse size hair spray, and a pen and cup with the salon name on them. The wash and condition service that came with my cut included a head AND hand massage in a quiet room with a warm towel over my eyes and every step of the way Faith made sure to explain everything she was doing in great depth and every product she used on me which was cataloged in my profile should I want to pop in later to pick something up. She was absolutely delightful and I felt so pampered and cared for while receiving the absolute best service I have ever received in my life, not to mention an amazing cut and style. This place was INCREDIBLE. My first time here, and I was immediately greeted by my name hand painted on their welcome chalkboard. The boutique was cute and fun to look around while I waited, since I arrived early. My stylist was named Adrian and she was great! Kind, listened well, lovely to talk to, and did exactly what I had hoped for with my cut/style. Also, what other place gives complimentary hand massages while they shampoo your hair?!? I only paid for the basic cut, which was very comparably priced to any other salon, but this experience was far superior to what I would have had elsewhere. When I walked in there was a tablet where you sign in and choose your service. LOTS of services and options to choose from. No more than a minute of waiting was I greeted, asked my requested service and escorted over to the pedicure chairs. Water was immediately turned on and my tech was on his job pampering me. Picked my color (white, #399) & turned on my massage chair. I had a dress on so my tech gave me a hand towel to cover myself, thankful for that. He asked if I wanted my nails cut down to which I responded a little. I loved how he cut a little and then kept asking if it was good enough. Most places will cut your nails down a LOT and then you just get what you get. Perfect squared shape just how I like it. The pampering was excellent and the towels they out around your legs are piping HOT. Service was quick and everyone was very friendly. I got the Deluxe Pedicure ($31) with the added gel Polish ($10). $41 is not bad for the great service. Tech's name was Za, and I'm thankful to him.

Only positives: -lovely salon…read more-nail tech was sweet (albeit did not know what she was doing at all) -the purple color is pretty Main negatives: -will promise nail techs who can do designs but cannot do anything but sloppy lines -false advertisement with design capabilities in the salon -poor ability to apply basic dip powder to nails -cannot make nail shapes even -no cuticle care -no lotion/massage included -limited dip colors to choose from -dip nails will lift after 6-7 days I made an appointment requesting designs for myself and a friend and we were assured that the nail techs could do designs. We get there and the place looks very beautiful and has a calm and relaxed atmosphere (which was great). However, the nail tech who did my design obviously had no clue what she was doing. I've gotten my nails done almost monthly for the last couple of years and I know what is supposed to happen when you get dip nails with a design. This nail tech skipped multiple steps and left my dip powder very thick, bumpy, and uneven. I had to ask for her to try and fix this multiple times (she was not going to do this as she started moving onto the next thing when I stopped her) and it still came out bad when you look closer. She also said she could not do any design I asked her to do. The best I could get was two straight parallel lines. She tried to paint the simple line design directly onto the dip powder without applying a clear gel base coat. For those who may not know, this is very wrong and will mess up the power and smudge any attempt at line work. Her lines were thick and wobbly. I had to correct the design several times because she was going to put the design on either the wrong finger or in the wrong direction compared to my other hand. On top of that, she made no attempt at cuticle care and not a single one of my nails is the same shape. They all range in length and are each their own version of something between a round, oval or almond shape. At least she was very nice and gentle when shaping my nails. However, not even a full week later, my nails were already lifting along the cuticle. I usually can go at least a month without issues. The only reason I get them done at the 4 week mark is because they are so grown out and I need them shorter for work. Now I'm constantly getting these nails stuck in my hair when showering or putting my hair in a pony tail. This never happened even when I got gel/shellac nails done until at least week 2.5-3.The edge along the cuticle isn't smooth at all and looks very sloppy now that they have grown out a little and is more noticeable. Anyone looking to get dip nails and/or a design, I would avoid this place as you will be promised a nail tech who can do designs, but will more than likely be unable to do even simple line designs. You also have a high chance that your nails will not even last a week and will look thick and sloppy. Do not trust any of their pictures online or posted in the salon as not a single one of their nail techs can do those designs. This salon would be better off doing more realistic advertisement instead of this false advertisement because that makes me more frustrated as I cannot trust them.

Not usually busy on a weekday but they do get busy on Saturday! My tech that I scheduled with did…read morecall off which was unfortunate, but the techs that took care of me did a wonderful job. I always have a great experience here and love the girls who work here. I've been a long time client and rarely have any issues, and when issues happen the ladies take care of them without hassle. They are working on updating their interior right now and I can hardly wait for new Pedi chairs! Love the new tables they have so far
