I have been here so many times. The two in the front are nothing but rude and impatient. The rest are so kind. However, they all seem stuck and unwilling to try new things or designs. This past year my pedicures have been rushed and mediocre at best. I have been spending way too much money here with no complaints for far too long. I'm in every other week for a fill and I am always met with impatience when I'm try to get help picking a color. They as a whole are just not helpful. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I do polish changes on my feet often - but really needed a true pedicure to clean up my heels/bottom of my feet after a lot of barefoot/flip-flop walking over the past few weeks. A friend has said it's the only place she goes to get her nails done and the woman I was sitting next to said she has been going there for 3 years. I arrived and the place was bustling. I was greeted quickly and asked how long it would be for a pedicure. She told me it wouldn't be too long of a wait & to pick my color. She was right - it was only about 3-4 minutes before I was called back to a chair. The gentleman who did my pedicure was friendly. After removing my polish, he mentioned that some of my nails were thin and would I want to do gel instead? I said sure, why not so I picked a new color. He then worked on the bottom of my feet/heels (which are better than they were, but still not great). Now - the person next to me (by her own comments) was way overdue for her pedicure, and the person working on her feet was like going to town and hers looked as fresh as a baby's bottom. Had I seen the state of my feet (or, I should say, the fact that my feet were just "ok") I would have changed to just a regular polish rather than gel.... The application itself is pretty mediocre. Not horrible - but not good (I say my own color change skills were on par): Uneven at the cuticles, rubbed/light application at the edges of several nails, etc. So now - even though this is something that I would like to change myself within a couple of days, I won't be able to because I'll have to have someone take off the gel. I was very underwhelmed and unimpressed with my pedicure. I won't be returning. read more

I have gone to DT Nails probably 15 times in the last few years (I don't get my nails done often). It's a pretty standard nail salon and I've never had any problems. It's clean, you don't usually have to wait long, and they have good products. What it comes down to is which nail tech you get. If you get someone who is skilled and takes their time, you get great nails. If you get someone less skilled or who doesn't put as much effort in, your nails aren't as great. Overall, though, I've been pretty happy using them when I needed my nails done. read more

they give horrible pedicures. They dont really scrub your feet to remove calluses what so ever! manicure chipped even though it was a dip and they charged me $5 extra to give an actual manicure which was also done very poorly. I ended up with hangnails a week later.NEVER EVER again! read more

I'd love to say this place is good since its so close to my parents. I took my mom here for a late mothers day pedi. Arrived to find a number of chairs empty but still took 15 minutes to be seated. That was the beginning of the worst pedi I've had! First the water was scalding hot and they slightly cooled it off and then forced my feet in. After a short soak the guy who was doing my pedi gave them a quick oil and stuff to soften the cuticles, this is where things went really wrong, he cut way too close and made 2 toes bleed. He thought I wouldn't notice if he covered it up with a towel, ha, no! Then the polish, it looks like my 4 year old nephew painted them, only 1 color coat and a partial top coat! For $25 which isn't cheap I expected better! read more

This is the only nail salon I will go to. I have been going here for a long time. First and foremost, their service is impeccable. They make every customer feel important no matter how busy they are. Secondly, they do an awesome job. I tried their new dip and I love it over regular shellac. My nails always look so good when I leave. Their staff is super friendly. They remember my name every time I go in. They are nice to my daughter when I take her in and she is so comfortable there. This is huge because other salons in the past have shuffled her around because she's a kid. DT nails treats her the same as any other customer which I love. Each customer also has their own box with their own files in it so that they are not using files that were used on someone else. The salon is super clean and the owners are so friendly. I truly enjoy getting my nails done there. read more

I almost didn't go here because of reviews. I just moved close by and was in desperate need of a fill and get my nails back to typing length. The wait time was only 10 minutes. Plenty of staff for a Tuesday night. Tiffany did my nails. She was fast, friendly and efficient. My nails look amazing! Sooooooo many colors to choose from. The place is very nice and clean. Prices are like anywhere else. Not a bargain but not a rip off. I was in and out in less than an hour. Oh and they have a couple kids pedicure stations for a fun mommy daughter day. I go to the salon at Chestnut Plaza in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have always been treated with respect and had top notch service. I do the gel nails and they always look great. I have read all the negative comments but remember these are NOT all in Fort Wayne so give DT Nails in Fort Wayne a chance to make your Nails look GREAT! You definitely need to try this location. I have been getting my nails done here for 9 years. I'm extremely happy with the service. I get compliments all the time about how great my nails look. I usually get a fill and acrylic on my nails and treat myself frequently to a Deluxe Pedicure with peppermint! The staff is very kind and friendly. I had a pedicure which was fine but then had a basic manicure- no color. Everything I've ever heard or read is that cuticles should NOT be cut. This girl cut my cuticles. She couldn't understand me nor could I understand her to explain. Five days later and my fingers are a mass of painful hangnails- awful! Skin peeling around each nail. Sore, stinging, terrible. I asked for "squared oval" but got drastically squared nails- had to do it myself at home. I don't think these people are properly trained and may not even be licensed. Stay away! read more

Super job ! A very popular nail salon. Nothing fancy, but only place I go and I have tried others. The wait is typically short as the owners run a tight ship and you can make appointments if you desire. But it is great that you can just go in whenever you want. I'm tired and sore. I have sat in the massage chair for 2 hours. I came in with a relative and we had to wait forever when we already made a reservation. The color selection is poor and so is the service. They put cold water in the foot thing and were rude when me and my relative suggested warmer water. With each new customer they emphasized how 'hot' the water was. The workers mostly mumble to one another in their native language. They are 'nice' to my relative which is why we always come back. I have yet to see a positive review or experience not from my relative. I've never liked this place, ever. Waste of money and mostly a waste of time. read more

I wish there was an option of giving them zero stars. I went in looking to get my acrylic nails with shellac on top removed. The lady who was working on me couldn't seem to understand that I had shellac on top of the acrylic and kept trying to pull the nails off without soaking them in acetone. She finally realized she needed to soak them after ripping two of my nails in half and I started bleeding. This place caused me a lot of pain and the pain didn't stop since I had to wait over a month for my nails to grow back. NEVER GO HERE. I acquired a horrible and painful infection in my index finger shortly after getting a manicure here. This is probably because they cut your cuticles, allowing bacteria to enter the nail bed. Spread the word. read more

She rushed through the pedicure, seemed like she didn't care and just wanted to be done with it. My nail polish looks like a 6 year old did it. I've tried this place so many times and want it to be better, but it just isn't. Overall decent manis and pedis, but quality and how long it depends on who you get as a technician - it's wildly inconsistent and there are quite a few where I could have done a better job myself. They are also quite rude. My most recent experience almost put me into tears - it was my first pedicure post pandemic, and I'd given birth at end of April so this was truly a treat I'd been looking forward to for several months. I arrived a few mins late because I was feeding my newborn, and unfortunately was told I had to wait ten extra minutes. I'm ok with that - I was 7 mins later after all - but the tone this message was delivered in was unnecessarily rude. They got me into a chair about ten mins later, where I proceeded to sit and soak for an additional ten mins. Normally I wouldn't mind, but with a newborn at home this is a little stressful as we are now cutting it close to the time of next feeding. The pedicure itself was ok, but there are 2-3 nails I need to fix at home because the shape is terrible and the polish job is already chipped. They did thank me for waiting, but the relaxing break from pandemic parenting I was hoping for (I have two under two at the moment) was ruined by the rudeness of the woman who greeted me and communicated the delay, and the mediocre pedicure. This salon needs to work on customer service skills and remember that it's about the experience, not just getting polish on to nails (although the latter also has room for improvement!). read more

Been going here for years and have brought a lot of people. But today I went in to show how the last polish job was all dented up and got sand stuck in from the beach (we went the day after). 3 friends also got nails there at same time and were at beach and their nails were fine, so we thought something must have gone wrong w application. No big deal. We figured they would repolish for me. But the lady's additude was very skeptical and made me feel very uncomfortable. She told me to go back and someone would redo with a very short tone. I started back but then realized I didnt know where she wanted me and paused to ask her. She kind of snapped at me telling me the chair to go to. I felt extremely awkward and decided to just leave. If a business is going to honor the service they should do so in a more welcoming way. I'll never go there again. People make mistakes, no biggie, but attitude and customer service is everything. read more

So yesterday I went to DT Nails to get my nails done and usually this relaxes me, however; yesterday when I left my heart was dropped in my stomach and I was furious. While I was waiting to get my manicure a lady who was in a wheelchair was dropped off by her her driver and was asked by someone who worked there how they could help her, she stated she was in need of a pedicure and a fill-in for her nails. When she pursued to tell them that medically she unable to get into the designated pedicure chair this person told her then they couldn't help her, then she asked if she could use one of the pink butterfly chairs and then she was told that they only hold so much weight. Why wouldn't they have a portable foot bath? This is very bad customer service. I feel like everywhere should be customer service friendly! At the end of the day everyone should remember one thing without customers they would be nothing. How would you feel if this was your loved one? read more

I've been going to DT for years. The service is very polite and friendly. They just redid the entire place (the owners had to stay late and paint it themselves by night!) and it is a really nice atmosphere. They also deal with the occasional rude, entitled customer with respect and patience. The salon provides each customer with his or her own tools that are stored at the nail salon to prevent any health issues. They have a loyal group of patrons from the southwest Allen county area that wouldn't go anywhere else because of the kind and professional service at DT. read more

If I could, I'd give it ZERO stars. The OWNER did my nails. I got acrylic french tips ($30) for the first time ever. She was extremely gruff and rude from the minute I entered the building. She filed my nails so hard that I bled and have cuts around my tips. It's obviously a family business. No one smiled or seemed friendly at all. When I left, I said goodbye and thank you and they didn't even look up. I will not be returning. Save your money for another salon that will show you some respect and appreciation. DO NOT GO HERE. Waiting at any other salon is worth it. I went in on a Sunday to get a pedicure and 3 broken nails fixed. I normally do not go here because I have a nail tech but she was booked and in my career broken/chipped nails are unacceptable. I waited longer than I was even in a chair. I was sat down in pedicure chair at 12:55 I left the salon at 1:30. I was charged $43.00, which I have no problem paying plus I left a $13.00 tip because I always tip well. My pedicure was quick and unenjoyable. The man argued with me about fixing my 3 broken nails saying it takes time and I should just get a fill. I said no I do not want a fill I see my nail tech Wednesday I just want these 3 that are broken fixed. They were all Stiletto shape and he said something to whom I believe was the owner so the she argued with me as well. I said okay just do square whatever is easier for you. When he fixed my nails he was filing them while the acrylic was still wet, he did not care. My nails are not even the same length as the ones that were not broken. They are also very wide and extremely bumpy. I will never go back into that salon because of the disrespect and unprofessionalism. read more

Went in with my daughter this past Sunday and the greeting when we walked in was not very pleasant. A woman was sitting at the front counter doing someone's nails and there was a gentleman standing right in front of the woman talking to us, and he would not move; don't know if he worked there or not, so we were trying to talk to her between him and the lady getting her nails done. My daughter had questions, and the woman just acted like she did not want to be bothered at all. We had never been there, and no one told us we had to write our name in the book; someone came in behind us and signed it; so, that's how we found out. My daughter asked about getting a design on her nails, and the lady told her to find a design on her phone and show it to her and then she'd tell her if they could do it or not. Just a very cold attitude towards us and we were afraid to ask her any of our questions...the employees working were all just staring at us when we came in. I asked her if she could fix a nail of mine, and without even looking at it or the color, she said no, they couldn't do it. We left and found another new salon who was very accommodating and who greeted us with a smile and not like we were bothering her, and went as far as recommending what my daughter needed, and when I asked if they could fix my nail; she looked at it, said sure, and got a tech to fix it right away and didn't charge me for it... read more

Wow, this goes to show "mother is always right". She always says "the only people to actually give reviews are the ones who have something to b***h about". Not this time! My friend took me to DT Nails yesterday and I had a wonderful experience. I'm currently on crutches. The staff was so nice and concerned. They helped me to my chair and put my crutches somewhere safe, yet in reach. The person who did my nails was very nice. Actually held a conversation with me! Unlike some places ive visited. My nails were in bad shape when I went in, and he told me what the last place did to actually do harm to them. I've been getting my nails done for about 18 years now, and this is def a place I would send my friends to. Cant wait to go back and get a pedi!!! read more
