Ate here for the first time by myself on a hot Friday afternoon. I had brought and ate the bandeja paisa with a side of Colombian soda and complimentary hot sauce. La Comida es rica, pero es un poco cara...mi problema ahora es que estan agregando la propina automaticamente..eso para mi no esta bien..propina es algo opcional que uno da por el nivel de servicio que uno recibe, la comida etc...y agregando propina automaticamente me parece muy mal. especialmente si uno queda disgustado con lo que sea.. tambien queire decir que si uno pide para llevar uno tiene que pagar propina obligado.. este tipo de cosa le quita las ganas de ir a comer alla, tambien la limonada natural la hacian deliciosa, limones naturales..super ahora...no se que estan usando para esa limonada pero sabe artificial...horrible. read more

This is the second time that I've from here via Yelp and both times I was happy. Delivery time was fairly quick and the food was still hot on arrival. The first time I ordered, I got the chicken & rice mix which came with sweet plantains & a salad and I also ordered the cream of shrimp which comes with white rice & french fries. My boyfriend ordered the breaded chicken with rice & beans. Sooo now... I usually order the same thing from Pollo ala Brasa but this place blew them out of the ball park. The chicken & rice mix is usually a huge serving anywhere that you go but PimPollo gives huge pieces of chicken and the sauce thats given with the meal really makes the dish. The cream of shrimp was very good as well with large size shrimps as well as small shrimps...the cream was tasty and not loaded with sodium. The only complaint that I have was that the serving of white rice wasn't enough but it didn't matter much. Tonight I ordered again but tried something a little different which was the Grilled Beef Typical Platter and it had a variety of things such as grilled beef of course, fried egg, white rice, beans, fried chicharron, avocado and corn cake. I didn't eat the chicharron because I don't ever eat it but I finished everything else and it was yummy!! Beef was cooked to perfection and very soft..and if you mix everything together it tastes pretty good. The avocado was a bit over ripe but I was able to salvage small pieces here and there. I will definitely continue to order from here because the food is filling, tasty and delivery is always quick! read more

The food here is underwhelming and rather disappointing. I would give the food here 3 stars, but I have to take off one because the chicharrones tasted like straight up frying oil, and were also dry at the same time (I'm not sure how they managed to serve chicharrones that are drenched in oil but also have a dry, rough texture :{ ) The worst part about it: my meal was $18. I stopped here on my way to the airport and was disappointed that they didn't have corn arepas. The lady at the register was very nice and suggested a different dish to cure my cravings. I got a dish of beans with rice, fried plantain, pork, steak, and a fried egg. It was a big portion and everything tasted amazing! To top it off, I got a maracuya drink (my favorite!). They need to hire better staff. The lady that took our order ruined our experience. We ordered a churrazco marinado & they sent us just a churrazco. Only. The churrazco marinado is sirloin steak topped with seafood. When we called to let them know we didn't get what we ordered she argued that we didn't order it right. We asked her what sides came with it and if it was for 2 people. She said ummm yes. We even asked the price she said it cost $30. So we ordered the churrazco marinado. When we stated this to her she tried arguing that the prices are different and that the churrazco costs $26. Cool. So if we asked you about our order costing $30 why are you arguing that we didn't order right? She clearly didn't put in our order right. I disagree with all the negative comments. This place is great. The food is awesome and worth its price. The bathroom is also very clean. The owners are very nice. When my boyfriend and I came came for dinner they served us quickly (we ordered 2 mini bandejas) we also ordered dessert (tres leche).this place is totally worth coming to if you live in the area. read more

EDIT: I have edited this review because I feel like one or a few of the reviews prior to mine (or below mine) is artificial/fake. The reason behind this is that someone (or multiple people) changed their star rating after I wrote my review. The average star rating for this place jumped up to 4 stars from 3 1/2 (which is was after I made my review) despite a new review not being made, which leads me to believe that someone may be artificially enhancing their review of this place. Honestly, I feel a little bad for deflating the rating of this eatery, given that there are such few reviews, which are of high rating. However, I want to give my honest rating for this place. I am sure that a lot of people may have a good experience with this place which makes me feel even more hesitant to give my honest opinion. However, I did not have such a great experience at this eatery. First of all, I was intending to dine in, but even though the place was empty, although there were some delivery calls, the lady behind the counter took a long time to notice me so I went and took a seat by myself and took a delivery menu since I was not given the diner menu. She noticed me after like a good 3-5 minutes and then came over and asked me what I wanted to order. I decided on the Tuesday lunch special which consisted of a pork chop, fried rice with beans, and a fried plantain. She asked me for my drink and I said that I would have water for now. That is when I noticed that they charge $1.50 for water. At this moment, my decision was made-- given that the service was pretty bad here as the lady was inattentive/understaffed (as she was taking delivery orders and was the only one in the store besides the cook), though she was nice and understanding, and that they charged for water --and I changed my order from dine-in to to-go. The food came out after around 10-15 minutes and I went back to work to eat it. I was given plastic utensils, and perhaps this is also part of the reason why I had a bad experience. The pork chop was right on top of the rice and there was no room to move any of the food around in the container without some overflowing. This made it nearly impossible to cut the pork chop, especially with the plastic knife, as I spent a good minute trying to cut my first piece. After getting that worked out, I noticed that the bone to meat ratio for the pork chop was extremely high and I barely got a meal out of that. Most of the meal was made up of rice and beans, which honestly did not taste that bad, but I would have assumed there would have been more of pork chops and less of rice and beans. The fried plantain was decent. I ended up actually throwing out the rest of the meal--some rice and beans and the rest of the fried plantain-- as I did not like it much. Overall, I did not like the service here as they are clearly understaffed for both delivery and dine-in, and the food was decent at best, and extremely uncomfortable to eat. read more

I called to placed three orders for delivery. I had to repeat my orders several times because she only had two orders down. Then I gave her my address and my phone number. She repeated the address and the phone number. The lady said it would take 35 mins, I don't live far from the place. An hour passed by and I still don't have my order. I called and asked the status of my order, she said it's ready. Then she asked for my address. I was confused because I had already gave her my address. I told her that she should have it on file, but she kept asking for it. Then I asked why hasn't my food been delivered I waited an hour. She said oh we had the wrong address, then she asked for my address again. Then I said why didn't you call me to get my address. Then she she said oh I also had the wrong number. The lady should have been honest with me, instead of trying to cover it up that she had the wrong information. I was extremely annoyed I had company over. I don't not recommend this place for delivery. The customer service was not acceptable. read more

The food is always good and reasonably priced, the ladies are nice and cute!! I'm lucky that its just around the corner from me so I practically live there...they have a daily soup special that cant be beat, different each day, you get a large or small soup with the addition of chicken or beef, rice, potato salad for $8-$10. This place was great, located right by my house. A 5 minute walk. I was a little skeptical at first due to only going to one specific restaurant but I decided to try it. Overall the food was amazing, when I got there they had forgotten one order so I waited an extra 4-5 mins. Only thing I'd add is I ordered well done and I got it cooked about a medium.
