I love the bread from La Abundancia bakery and will continue buying from here. Orders aren't always consistent though. Sometimes the bandeja paisa comes without avocado or plantains. We received a call yesterday (after ordering through GrubHub) and were hung up on. Im guessing the bakery items we ordered were out, so they were replaced by other items. We never received a call back and then the items that arrived were not exactly what we had ordered.

La Abundancia is a great go-to for a quick and inexpensive breakfast, lunch, or dinner (they are open 24/7)! It's local chain with a couple locations across Queens. This particular location is right next to the F train on Parsons, making it super convenient to grab a coffee and something to eat in the morning before hopping on the train. They have a lot to choose from, including coffee and espresso drinks, Colombian baked goods, as well as American breakfast food.

Great food and great services. I love that it's 24hours! Some of the best Colombian Bread I've had in the area.

Very disappointing experience. I placed an order and called back within minutes to change it, and…read morewas told it was "not allowed" and that either I would have to pay for the original order or they would. That makes no sense, especially considering how quickly I called back. Even more concerning, when I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, I was told there wasn't one available. That's unacceptable for any business. Instead of helping resolve a simple issue, they made it unnecessarily complicated. Customer service here needs serious improvement.

I was impressed by the large variety of options on this menu. I ordered an empanada to start followed by a mini bandeja. There was nothing mini about it! As you can see by the pic, portion size are not skimpy. Overall, the dish was good, only thing I would change was the steak. Had a little too much fat for my liking. But the chicharron and frijoles were great. The jugo de guanabana was delicious. Empanada was good too, though I would've liked a bit more of a flavor kick. They have a few tables and bar area for indoor dining and a covered section outside. Restaurant was busy, with customers dining in or picking up orders. Seems like a staple for the local community which is great to see. Service was friendly and moderately paced. Will return if in the area!

** Delivery order **…read more Ordered around 9:30pm, arrived in about 45 mins. Food was still warm. I ordered - Skirt steak w/white rice, red beans, sweet plantain - steak extremely thin & bit chewy. Beans and plantain alright. Tiramisu cake - decent sized slice that tasted pretty generic. Overall an okay place to eat. Price to portion ratio is disappointing, especially the steak. More of a last resort type of situation.

I have never taken the time to write a review until today. This place is the worst restaurant you…read morecan ever order from, it's ran by a bunch of morons to put it nicely. Placed an order of 83$...TWO BANDEJA PAISAS, colombiana soda, smoothie with milk and side orders. Food comes and first mistake is that we got the smoothie with water..... fine that's not so bad but then we open our food order. It's not steak...it's PORK. I called the restaurant to see if they had sent me the wrong order and they said "we didn't have steak so we sent you pork chops" They also said "we didn't have milk so we made the smoothie with water" Making the smoothie with water is understandable... but to send me a completely different meat is something I've never heard of and to do this without even consulting with the consumer is NOT okay. We didn't even get a call to ask if this was ok, because if this was the case I would've cancelled the order and ordered elsewhere. On top of this everything that came with the bandeja paisa was disgusting.... The food looked like it was cooked days ago and they just threw it in the microwave. The beans smelled rancid..who knows when the last time they actually changed those containers. And to top it all off, the Manager was absolutely no help. As I'm explaining the situation she goes "get to the point" and then proceeds to tell me that the workers don't know how to use a phone to call the costumers. I have never experienced this kind of disrespect.. what about the people that have food restrictions, allergies or even religious restrictions when it comes to food? They have the audacity to just replace and send whatever left over meat they have in their fridge. I should've read the reviews before ordering. Be very aware of this place before you waste your money here.
