I absolutely love this Peruvian restaurant. I have ordered from them several times to go and it has always been delicious. I wish I had taken pictures of the food but the pictures don't do it justice. I usually always order their family size jalea which consists of fried fish, shrimp, octopus and calamari. This enough to share with two-three people. It comes with pickled onions that goes great with the seafood. I also ordered a large arroz chaufa with chicken. The rice was fluffy and well seasoned. Be aware! Cockroaches in your drinks! Long story short, two of our drinks came with cockroaches flooding on them and the waitress had the nerve to state that it was part of the stem of an apple. Day five meals.... While driving around and thinking about what's for dinner, we decided to keep its simple, chicken with rice and beans. We ordered two half chickens with rice and beans to go. When we arrived a few minutes earlier than they quoted the food was ready for pick up. The rice had this amazing garlic flavor to it and the chicken was seasoned and cooked very well. Food and service here are excellent. Came here with a party of 4 and got our food within 10-15 minutes! Finding parking around this area wasn't as painful as expected either. Papa de la Huancaína which is boiled potatoes with a creamy yellow sauce (a little bit spicy). It is served cold and is a nice appetizer to share with the table. Next we had Jalea. This had fried fish filet pieces (boneless), squid, yuca, shrimp, and onions. Everything except for the onions was covered in a batter. The onions were refreshing and covered in a lemon or lime juice. This dish is deeeeelicious. Additionally, we had a purple corn juice. It was not made in store and honestly I wouldn't get it again. We got the shaved ice cream called Lucuma. On the website for El Pollo Inka Peru, this dessert is described as "an exotic Andean tropical fruit high in vitamin B3 and carotene". Giving this place 5 stars because I've never had a problem with it. I didn't want to be a food snob and say sometimes my peruvian grandma makes these dishes better but I always love what I get when I'm here. Today I went to lunch with my family where we shared a Ceviche Mixto, with everything tasting fresh. My sisters shared a Tallerines Verdes which wasn't bad. for anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's a creamy pesto sauce with linguini. I had Pescado a lo Macho which is one of my favorites. That's a fried fish filet in a yummy sauce. I wouldn't be able to tell you what kind of sauce but honestly try it. They top it with shrimp, squid, calamari, some crab and or mussels. This little gem is mid-priced if you want main Peruvian dishes, however what I've been here for nearly 10 times now is the *amazing* exemplary succulent steaming soft juicy heavenly marinaded fall-off-the-bone sexual experience known as the Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken. If you're offended by me exposing myself while we eat these delicious chicks together (pieces of rotisserie chicken are called "chicks" in England), then I would advise you to stop being so Perudish. Looking for amazing Peruvian chicken/ food, Pollo Inka is the place! (Sorry Pio Pio) Their food is absolutely amazing, and delicious. When restaurants were open, this place was always packed on the weekend, and it was always so busy. Their fish/ shrimp ceviche is to die for, if you haven't ordered it before or looking for good ceviche this is the spot. They have great combos for families, or if you're on a date I also highly suggest their breaded chicken and of course their Sangria. Their staff is so attentive and so nice. Im gonna give them 4.3 stars for fast food... I had guests who wanted Pollo Inka rather than Pio Pio. I got the combo and for $20 got a whole chicken, rice, and an avocado salad. This was cheaper than Pio Pio. The food was pretty good. I was given my food quickly and the people were very nice to me. I am told that the green hot sauce is so much better at Pollo Inka. I took a star off because the Pio Pio to go place is on point with to go condiments. You get utensils, sauces and even wet naps standard in my experience. That stuff was not sent from Pollo Inka. There was just one small salad dressing with a huge salad. The point of take out is that I dont want to have to make something. I gave .3 back because they are local and good. Food was great, but then it went downhill when I ask them to split the bill when I gave them two credit cards. They gave us the bill and both halves were charged to my card. I told them they made a mistake, I showed them both checks have my card number, and they still insisted that no it was covered between two cards. Look I love the food and everything. My problem is the shitty ass service. Been going here forever and each time the service has sucked. No spoon, no knives only a fork. How the F I'm supposed to eat chicken without a knife and take the beens without a spoon. Got waiters just skipping tables and not even offering water. Every restaurant needs a water person.
