I was short on time this visit but the way the store is organized makes a quick trip easy. On entry going straight ahead is produce and lots of it! Take a left and pass through the rest of the produce, think mint, cabbage, bok choy, onions, garlic, potatoes. Racks of all kinds of bread and then the deli section. They always have a fantastic selection of craft beer, unique wine and local food plus lots of staples. Sure you may spend a little bit more but the convenience factor and supporting a local family owned business is so with it! On a personal note, last winter when we got a ton of snow and the stores were a mad house I was able to make it to the market, grab a bag of ice melt (which everyone else was out of), a pizza and some beer to save the day! The oils and Vinegars are in barrels lined up on the shelves, with labels that show pricing and a brief description. You are able to taste all that they have to offer, just reach out to staff for assistance. I saw quite a few different olive oils i wanted to purchase, but opted to go with the garlic infused olive oil. I did sample it, and it was absolutely delicious. You can definitely taste the garlic. It was almost as if i was eating a fresh baked slice of garlic bread. I'm looking forward to going back and purchasing the chili Olive oil, and the pomegranate Vinegar. The gentleman working at the time stated Vom Fass has been around since 2006. Beautiful clean layout. Plenty of parking outside and friendly staff! They offer tastings in store so be sure to check them out. Also, they are an Eco conscious store, so all their products are in reusable glass containers. Bring in your clean glasses to refill.
