Super awesome spot for international specialty items. The only spot in STL I have found Thai basil, and spicy Thai peppers. Plus they include a plethora of other international spices, flavors, and goodies. Sweets, snacks, main courses, seasonings, oils, you name it they have world wide selections with an emphasis on asian ingredients. The selection is great. Additionally, the prices seem to be very reasonable--I don't know the going rate for Thai basil, but about $3 for a huge bushel seems pretty dang cheap to me. The workers are nice and helpful as well. Happy to answer questions or hunt down anything you may need!

Centrally located in the loop, United Provisions is perfect for most asian-based meals and pantries! This location is an essential stop on errand day, and has great treats and drinks to make each trip fun (I strongly support a fun treat). The staff is super friendly if a little shy, but I'm always treated well there. The facility is always clean and easy to navigate, and honestly beautiful if I may say so. Picture is one that I sent to my partner when I finally found my preferred garlic chili sauce again!

My love for kdramas have helped me to recognize so many things in Provisions. The buldak noodles are a personal favorite. If you want noodles without that firey taste try the jjajang. Also the banana milk that is extremely popular in Korean is good. It kind of tastes like a banana laffy taffy but better if that makes sense. The calpico lychee and white peach juices are so good. You could use those and make flavored martinis. The plum soju is so good and will definitely creep up on you. They also have a tropicial fanta flavor that is too die for. If you catch it in store be sure to try it. I went out on a limb and tried the crayfish lays absolutely not a fave.

Spam kimbap / korean "sushi" -- very tasty!

Excellent ready to eat food options, love their rice balls / onigiri. Great asian/international grocery store. Huge variety of items from kitchen staples for Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino, and Indian cuisines as well as cold and frozen foods too. Clean and clear scent in the store, inventory actively maintained, always a good sale section with quick-sale items as a result of maintained inventory. Fresh produce, fresh meat. Snacks and candy. Canned/bottles soft drinks and alcohol. Amazing store!

If you are looking for something to eat that isn't the normal (Midwest Southern IL) type of snacks and packs exciting flavors you should stop into this international food market. Yes, it is in The Delmar Loop and their are lots of college students in the area but you know that's part of the fun! One of the best things about this market is location because of several other restaurants and stores on the strip. This is a strip that is worth walking! If you're out to just get out or looking for something to try/do, stop in here and check out all the amazing and fun international cuisines and snacks! Family friendly as well. -Parking isn't too bad, you might need to look around a bit depending on the time of day.

Plenty of fruits and veggies, I always pick up Fresno peppers, loose okra, and Thai Basil. From there you have the aisles based on country, I always want to skip aisles, but I just cannot, there is always so much to look at, something you haven't seen from the last time. Also, don't be afraid to ask employees questions, they'll be happy to assist. My last visit, I was with a friend who was shopping to make spring rolls and he got assistance from a little old Vietnamese lady who was a customer herself. Listening to her explain all the detailed steps made us both smile. Be smart when shopping the canned goods, some items can be more expensive. However, the fresh vegetables are always a good value. The meat department makes me cringe, but I know that is just me being quirky. My friend gives it a thumbs up. Customer service is okay, nothing outstanding and nothing bad. It's just okay. The cashiers get you out the door in an orderly way.

-- Great Selection, But Room for Improvement…read more Jay International Food is one of my go-to spots for variety -- you can find ingredients and products here that are hard to track down anywhere else in St. Louis. The international selection is truly impressive, and it's the main reason I keep coming back. That said, the store could use a little TLC. While I've noticed improvements over time, it would be even better with a deeper, more consistent clean. The staff gets the job done, but a bit more warmth and friendliness would go a long way toward making the shopping experience as inviting as the selection itself. Bottom line: I'll keep shopping here because the variety is unbeatable, but I'm hoping to see the atmosphere match the amazing products on the shelves.

This Asian grocery store is mostly what you would expect of a small grocery store. When I say…read moresmall, it's of an average smallness. Bigger than a convenience mart, much smaller than a Schnuck's. This grocery store is nestled into a very nicely kept shopping plaza. I'm rating the East East Oriental grocery store 4 stars because it's well lit, decently organized and is reasonably easy to find the things you might need, as long as you know what you're wanting. With that said, I found the selection a bit limited and some prices higher than expected. I visited this grocery store to stock up on a few things to help me make Sushi rolls. I got the Nori sheets I wanted, the primary reason I went there. However, it was from a brand that I don't normally use. That's what I mean by limited. I actually prefer the Yamamoto brand, but they don't carry it. So, I guess I get to try a new brand. I also picked up pickled Daikon, miso paste, tofu, pickled ginger and dried seaweed (Wakame). I was hoping to find some dried tofu, but they don't have it. You can get dried tofu as part of some miso soup packet mixes, but I wasn't looking for that. I also didn't need Furikake, wasabi, rice or Kewpie mayo, but they do carry these. On the flip side, they do not carry the small jars of Huy Fong Vietnamese garlic chili sauce. They only carry the larger size. I prefer the smaller size, but only because it takes me a long while to get through even that sized jar. For powdered Wasabi, I only recall seeing relatively large bags at around $20. That sized bag would last me years. On the plus side, the store does have a decent amount of dinnerware including ceramic bowls. If you're looking for larger sized bowls for Pho or Ramen, they do carry these. They also have a reasonably good selection of various Asian brand canned meat and fish. They also have a smallish section of fresh produce. As for prices, they are often on the higher than expected side. 100 sheet package of seaweed is around $25. That's actually a decent price all things considered. That makes it $2.50 for 10 sheets or $12.50 for 50 sheets. This 100 sheet package is way cheaper than buying 10 sheet packages. Furikake is around $4.50 or so, just a tad pricey. Keep in mind these are 2025 prices. Your mileage may vary. If you're looking for something specific like a sauce, there's a decent chance they'll have it here. Overall, I would definitely shop here again when I'm running low on Sushi fixings. Though, at 15 miles distance from home, it's a bit of a trek.
