Flatbread pizza

We had a really good dinner at Pignetti's tonight. I felt like the portions were very generous for the price. They were very busy on a Monday night, but our service was good. Would definitely return if we're ever back in Waco.

The server, Bryson was so great! He made our meal! We enjoyed him so much. He was in top of everything! The food was amazing and delicious! I had Chicken picatta and my friend had bolognese and the guys got chicken Parmesan! Everyone was extremely happy and impressed! The atmosphere is very beautiful! I love the lights and the Baylor Bear on the wall too!

Service was absolutely incredible! We stopped in for a relaxed date night after a whiskey tour at Balcones Distilling, and this place exceeded every expectation. The three bartenders were outstanding friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging. They walked us through the menu, gave great drink recommendations, and checked in on us throughout the night without ever being overbearing. And the food WOW WOW WOW. Totally unexpected for a bar setting, but every bite was amazing. It easily rivaled what you'd expect from a full restaurant. The vibe strikes that perfect balance of casual and fun, yet still elevated enough for a dressed-up date night. This is definitely a spot we'll be recommending and coming back to again!

Scallop Gorgonzola

This is the best kept secret in Waco. This is authentic Italian cuisine with a menu that is exciting but not overwhelming. You can taste the quality ingredients in every bite. From the lasagna rolls to the Pasta alla Norcina to the Scallop Gorgonzola.. there isn't a possibility of leaving unsatisfied. My husband and I travel from Glen Rose to eat here a few times a month which should tell you something considering we could be in DFW in the same amount of time. The owner is onsite delivering food to tables and checking in with guests. The service is fantastic (Stella is a server I highly recommend), and the bar drinks are perfection. My husband loves their smoked old fashioned and they even know how to make my favorite drink..the Chilton! The ambiance is perfect for date night. If you haven't dined here you are missing out! Don't forget to make reservations...they fill up fast!

Ricotta dip

YUMMMYYYYY! This is probably the most authentic Italian food I've had. The lasagna was perfect and I couldn't stop eating the ricotta dip. I also had the Lavender Haze cocktail and an Up All Night, both were very good. Service was good, really nice place for date night. Can't wait to try the one in Temple.

This is a welcoming place. We were greeted with smiles when we walked through the door. The smells were enticing. The restaurant itself was comfortable. I was hoping this place would live up to its previous Yelp reviews. Let's talk about service. Klint, our server, knew his craft. He offered great suggestions. He knew how to describe food. He checked in with us without being obtrusive. His suggestions were spot on. Klint, you were a large part of the experience, and so thank you. The food: this is reimagined Italian food and Pignetti's did it very, very well. Each dish we ordered was made phenomenal. The scallop was perfectly cooked, the sauces were delicious. We were surprised by the Pasta alla Norcina. Hot honey in a pasta? With spicy sausage, it really works. This place is great for couples, girls night, work suppers, or any time you want to impress your fellow diners. Well done, Pignetti's. Now, come to an Utah so we can enjoy your food more often.

I've been here 3 times and LOVE it every time. The cocktails were also amazing. And service was incredible. I most recently went on Valentines Day. Even though it was completely booked, our waiter took the time to take a picture of my boyfriend and I. They also handed out roses to each woman for the holiday, which was such a special touch. I will say, the ricotta is a LOT. So I would recommend if you're with a big group. It was super tasty at first, but then just because a little too much.

Tiramisu

We had several other dishes not pictured. Our sever was incredibly kind and attentive. Everything was yummy and that tiramisu... obviously homemade with love! The interior isn't what you'd expect for the quality. Could use an upgrade but wouldn't keep us from coming back!

The menu was varied and expansive. The restaurant has a cool vibe and the use of old doors to separate their space is genius. Even though they had several large parties we were seated right at our reservation time. The dish I enjoyed had shrimp and pasta both cooked perfectly.

Pignettis is one of our favorites! The food is very good, arrives in a timely manor and the service is excellent.

Pro: The food was very good. My pasta was amazing down to the Parmesan. The balsamic in the Brussels Sprouts is pretty strong but it's still good. Our server Lilly was the absolute best. It was my girlfriend's birthday and she made sure we enjoyed every bit of it. The vibe of the whole place is very lowkey, lights are pretty dim, and the music is a cool techno pop. The dessert was to die for as well Con: Probably more TV's at the bar.

This local spot was bumping! Decided to go to carb load before the Waco 70.3 and it did not disappoint. Friendly and attentive service and the food was excellent! Comparable to pasta dishes and flavour that we experienced in Italy! Went hungry and still had enough to take home for later!

Fantastic service. Great menu. The marinara sauce reminded me of my Italian grandma's sauce. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming.

Neapolitan pizza is something like a culinary ancestor to New York pizza, which has more mozzarella cheese and a somewhat sweeter sauce. The Italian salads and entrees are also excellent. The Chef-Owner trained in Italy, and it shows. Service is friendly, competent and responsive. The ambiance is modern, although I think the seating and tabletops are fairly basic. All in all, the pizzas are the stars of the menu, and well worth it as an authentic taste of classic Neapolitan cuisine.

They tasted just like a tortilla chip though soooo... I think 2$ is more appropriate (menu also had GF at 4$ and then we were charged 5$ at the end in which I thought I'd be getting gluten free bread too but alas, the app was really really good - a friends complaint is that it could use more lemon flavor, I can see that too) I was also charged 4$ for my gluten free pasta, but the dish was so so so good. The creamy sauce was absolutely incredible. I had the shrimp scampi along with a blueberry syrup mocktail and I was completely satisfied. Also had a taste of the blueberry martini which was also very good. My friend had the lasagna which she rated at 3 stars and said it was overcooked but the sauce was good. My sister had the lobster ravioli and it was undercooked, too al dente for her liking and was dissatisfied as it was the most expensive thing on the menu. My sister would go back, my friend would not, and i definitely would. Service was very nice. I just looked at my receipt and there is a charge for "rustic bread" so I'm not sure what that is... did they charge us for both the GF crackers AND the bread that should have been included in the appetizer? That's also not cool.

No one was at the entry station & we waited about 5 minutes before a tall, non-smiling, barely audible woman "greeted us" & led us to a booth. There were only two other booths occupied, & it was nearing 5:00 pm, quite surprising, since we recalled a once upon a time, bustling crowd. The same woman took our drink order, nowadays, "water", to keep the cost of eating out less of a sticker shock. A young man brought slightly burned top bread to our table, my husband said it was OK but would have enjoyed it better without the blackened tops. I asked the waitress if it was garlic bread, she told it was, & I mentioned I can't eat garlic bread, so she offered to bring rolls without garlic. I told her she didn't need to do that, but later, she brought me two delicious, perfectly baked hot rolls, without garlic. The creature was very kind .. but, still no smile! We love Luigis pasta dishes, but felt like trying their pizza & ordered the Luigis salad, to split. The salad was huge, but mainly chopped lettuce, red cabbage slivers, with two tomato wedges. Not near as impressive as salads we get at TX Roadhouse & the Longhorn Steak House, but crispy & good. They offered very few dressings, but the red Italian was delicious & my spouse said the ranch dressing was good, too. Mid-way through the salad, as an after thought, the Italian music was turned on, adding a bit of ambiance to the dark, quiet dining area. We thought that was odd, not turning music on, just as one would turn on lights, etc, at a restaurant. Our Canadian bacon/pineapple pizza, from the moment it was placed on the table, was unimpressive. It was thin, & void of an abundance of ingredients. It was very greasy, so we blotted every slice, having to go to the nearby entry station, still unoccupied, to grab extra napkins, because the waitress rarely returned to our table. Only one other group had entered the restaurant & another waitress was tending to them, so she was not "busy". How anyone can take cheese + meats + pineapple, & end up with a tasteless pizza, is beyond understanding, but add tough dough to the mix & Luigi's managed to serve the worst pizza we have ever been eaten! We were hungry & ate what we could, taking remaining slices home, thinking I could add bell pepper to a left over slice, toast it & eat it for a Sunday afternoon snack. For $16.99, we hated to leave 1/2 of a medium pizza, even though it was inferior quality! Honestly, we have gotten better at Domino's, for a fraction of the cost. We left the restaurant & went for a Sat evening drive, passing the restaurant, on Hwy 84, about 6:15 p.m., noticing few vehicles on the Luigis parking lot. What has happened? Would recommend someone to cheerfully greet customers, smiling/friendly waitresses, a manager coming around tables to greet & chat with customers, making them feel "welcome" & an evaluation of food quality! We hate to see a really good restaurant on the slippery slope of decline!
