I was a regular in the mid '90's and again in the 2000s when I returned to Waco. Since then a number of stores closed so when I moved from Waco in 2003 I've maybe eaten at a Fazolis a couple times in the past 10 years except when I've visited Waco. Almost every time I ordered the same thing--orig Italian sub, no ham and asked them to put any other meat already on the sandwich, in its place. Unfortunately, on this single occasion, at this location I've visited countless times over the years, they said it wasn't possible to remove the ham. Fortunately other places are nearby that can make a simple adjustment if needed. So since removing ham isn't possible, at this location, in the next many years I'll be returning periodically to Waco, I'll not be stopping at this Fazolis. read more

Man I was so excited to go back to Fazoli's. I hadn't been here since I was a kid & it was not what I remembered. The pasta was bland & like it just came out of a tv dinner & the bread was over cooked & soaked in butter. The restaurant was out dated, kind of dirty & not inviting. But the employees were nice which can be hard to find so that's a plus! We probably won't be back which makes me sad. read more

Really not impressed. The wait was crazy long the counter person walked by us twice before she said it was going to be a minute. The place looks old and it hasn't been kept up. It was cleanish but the supplies were limited and one of the soda machines wasn't working. Food quality was like a cheaper version of Olive Garden just the bread sticks aren't that good. We have such great family memories going to Fazoli's growing up, but this one definitely is not the same as years past. We opted to eat here while in town for sports and to say it disappointed is an understatement. The meatballs which look fake, were disgusting both taste and texture. The lasagna noodles were like rubber and tasted awful, and the sauce and breadsticks tasted so salty. We left with sour bellies and decided that was our last time to ever eat at Fazoli's. I like fazolis, it's a good fast food Italian restaurant. It's not that fancy or authentic, but it still taste great... I had the Chicken Carbonara. It had spaghetti, Parmesan Alfredo sauce, broccoli, bacon, and garlic roasted chicken. I enjoyed it a lot and the breadsticks too. The breadsticks were so warm and buttery. The chicken carbonara was missing the peas and shaved Parmesan cheese, but it was still so good without it. It made me full and satisfied. read more

As the head xc/track coach carbohydrates are important for my athletes especially with my endurance athletes. We always come here to buy cheap pasta for carb loading. Up in the midwest everyone goes to Fazoli's to carb load so I thought I would bring my traditions down from the midwest. They know how to do tax exemptions. The employees did not greet us. I felt as if we interrupted their down time. There was one young gentleman in the back that at least smiled. ( not very tall with black hair. Skinny). We came here over the weekend. They have a drive through but we went inside. You order at the counter then they yell your number when your food is ready and you go and grab it. The service was a little slow but they were friendly. The food is cheap and it's very casual. The spaghetti and meatballs were pretty good and the fettuccini Alfredo was very bland. The breadsticks and pizza were okay and I liked the pumpkin cheesecake. They said it comes with caramel sauce but they didn't give us any, it was good without it but I would have liked it. I used to be skeptical of Fazoli's-- drive thru Italian food? Why? But I am happy to report that it's good, and I wish there were more of these throughout Texas! My issue with Fazoli's is that you could easily make the same dishes at home for less and have more food. That being said, the prices won't hurt your wallet and you get free breadsticks, which are addicting. When you're craving Italian food or cheesecake and you're feeling too lazy to cook, this is the place to be. Drive thru service is pretty quick, too. read more

Fazoli's is an absolute gem. It boggles my mind how this chain is not mainstream everywhere. What Fazoli's offers that sets it head and shoulders above most other fast food establishments is the food is delicious and a great value. These two important factors catapult it into the upper stratosphere of fast food amazingness. Being a Dallasite; it should be noted that I do not reside anywhere near a Fazoli's. So I make it a point to stop by the one in Waco on my trips to Austin. I typically order the classic sampler. It has three items: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Fettuccine Alfredo and Lasagna served with bread sticks. All four items stand alone on their own, but having four equally delicious options on a single plate is great for someone like me who prizes variety. The food is always served very hot which is a rarity in the fast food business and much appreciated. The only area where I feel there is room for improvement for Fazoli's is their atmosphere. While the dining area is clean, the decor itself could use some updating because it is drab and somewhat depressing. Every visit to Fazoli's is always worth it's while and has never been a let down. I really hope this chain expands soon. They have great food at a great price, and I always leave feeling completely satisfied. read more

This was my first time at this establishment. I am very disappointed! There were 5 of us. There was no where for all of us to sit together. Most of the tables were dirty. I asked if someone could clean a set of tables that were pushed together. She said she would get there when she could. I went to the tables and moved what was on them to another dirty table. The individual who works there proceeded to scold me for moving tables together that I didn't move. I told her I didn't move them. She tried to move it back and was not able to. I was in dire need of Italian food (preferably Chicken Parmesan) and decided to try Fazoli's since it was near my house and I could order online & pickup quickly for dinner. Needless to say I was quite surprised at how fresh & good all the items were that we ordered. My family all agreed that the baked ziti, chicken parm and spaghetti were good and the breadsticks and salads were fresh and delicious as well. Drove through this place on the way out of Waco and I had forgot how great this is for a drive-thru! It's been years since I've had something from Fazoli's and I got the $2.99 fettuccini special with breadsticks and a drink and it was all awesome! I didn't think to snap a pic until I was back home, eating what I couldn't finish at lunch. The portions and taste is great for a fast food place. I have the best memories going to Fazolis as a kid, so when my husband and I saw one while traveling from Austin to Dallas, we had to stop to get it to go. We got there at 10am and were glad to wait until it was advertised to open at 10:30am. However, when we went through the drive thru on time, it was 10:36am by the time a woman opened the window. She did not apologize for being late but told us they're not open yet. We waited until 10:45am and then just really had to get back on the road to be somewhere. Have never tried Fazoli's and thought "fast Italian" food ehh- worth a try so ... I got the chicken parmigiana combo & Keto combo. The chicken parm combo came with fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti & a small piece of breaded chicken. The Alfredo was ok more of a chicken broth flavor with cream and a little Parmesan, spaghetti sauce was good although very little of it and the chicken was tasty and about 4 ounces maybe. There was about a pound of pasta but a again very little sauce so ask for extra. Good portions for the price. The keto combo was a flatbread pepperoni & bacon with cheese & a side salad. Let's start with the salad, how can you mess that up? They didn't it was nice & fresh. The flatbread pizza was more like a thin whole grain tortilla that was not even crisp. You get 4 small slices-The flavor was alright but I don't think I will get that again not worth the $. I got the food to go so it was all a bit cold as to be expected. Stopped here to fuel up during a road trip. Highs: You walk in and it smells so good! I got the baked ziti and it was great - especially for a fast food place. The breadsticks are really good and when you use them to soak up the extra sauce - mmmm. Lows: It was a Friday night, they weren't super slammed, but the lobby was trashed. Most of the tables had trash/plates on them. I remember going to Fazolis in the past and having servers bring around baskets of free breadsticks to those dining in. Not here. They give you a certain number with your order (I got 2), and I'm not sure if you can get more because I didn't ask. The bathroom smelled horrid and it was dirty. It was in serious need of some attention. There were some highs and lows for this place, so I guess a 3-star rating is where it lands. read more
