Food was very good. Service was MEH. Price is ok except for the wine. $13 bottle (retail at Total Wine) of Franciscan cab was $48. The bottle of wine was brought to our table open. Hmmmm....NOT DISCLOSED ON THE MENU is a credit card surcharge of 3.95%. Nick, the manager, insisted it was posted on the door. I asked him to show me (knowing it wasn't there) and he went to look, and amazingly came back and admitted it was not posted. One couple walked it, sat down and reconsidered their selection. It was too hot. We totally agreed, and mentioned that your server when we came in.

HE NEVER BROUGHT MY RANCH. :(((( This mad me very mad, sad, sick, and nauseous! This was very unprofessional and extremely rude! The food was absolutely amazing! I will not be coming back!!!

The service is fantastic and I enjoyed the ambience and music. The Vela Marsala was some of the best I've had! My niece loved her Shrimp Scampi dish too! I'm local and have not been here before so I'll definitely be back!

Bruschetta ( came with 6, but I ate 3 before I remembered to take a picture)

We came here on an internet search when we stopped in Waco for the night. We love Italian and saw this was a family owned restaurant and not a chain. We walked in the Front door and the place was packed. That was a good sign. The owners wife greeted us and found us a table. While we were dining we saw this place change over tables. When we left it was still packed. We started with a bottle of Chianti. This place still have table quality wines for under $30 a bottle. Haven't seen that in years. We also got the bruschetta. It was fresh and tasted very good. I ordered the veal piccata and my partner had the lasagna. The veal had a rich piccata sauce loaded with capers. The veal was so tender I cut it with a fork. It was one of the best veal piccata I have had. My partner had the lasagna. It was obvious this was make from scratch and the sauce was so fresh and full of fresh herbs. I tried the sauce and it was very delicious. I am a salter, but neither of these dishes needed enhancement. The bread was baked daily at the restaurant and I ordered the garlic olive oil. I prefer olive oil over butter. Fresh chopped garlic. I had a cannoli for dessert. They do not make their own desserts, but get them from a bakery. The cannoli matched the quality of the food the restaurant prepares. Another note. The owners wife who greeted us also never stopped. She also bussed tables and supported her staff in any way possible. What great leadership! She stopped by our table to check on us. I shared my praises with her for the food and her service. Employees looked happy to be working. Who would not want to work in a place where the owner works side by side with you. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant whether you live in Waco or just passing through.

Absolutely delicious! Lunch was easy in and out. The mushroom ravioli (substitute with Alfredo sauce) and the Chicken Scampi is a must have.

That's why I was genuinely disappointed to find out that the chicken Caesar sandwich has been removed from the menu. It might seem like a small change, but for regular customers like me, that sandwich was a standout item and one of the main reasons I kept coming back. It had a great balance of flavor and felt like a reliable go-to every time. Taking it off the menu without a comparable replacement feels like a missed opportunity and, honestly, a bit frustrating. I completely understand that menus evolve and restaurants need to make changes, but it would mean a lot to see fan-favorite items like this either return or be replaced with something similar. Milo's still has a lot going for it, which is why this change stands out even more. Hoping this feedback is taken in the spirit it's intended--supportive, but coming from a very disappointed regular.

In particular the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts caught my eye, unfortunately the latter was sold out so I went with the sweet potato Both dishes I had were really good! The candied bacon paired really nicely with the creamy deviled egg, the hot sauce vinaigrette didn't add too much flavor, but honestly adding a significant amount of heat would've probably taken away from an already very tasty dish. The baked sweet potato on the other hand had a nice dose of heat from the Calabrian honey vinaigrette, the sweet heat combo worked really, I'm surprised I'd never come across a spicy sweet potato dish before, but I'll definitely have my eye out for it in the future Overall I had a very good experience and will definitely be back for future rest stop meals between Austin and Dallas!

We started with the pan-roasted romanesco, which was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The bread service with compound butter was a standout on its own: simple, but done at such a high level that it set the tone for the entire meal. We grabbed seats at the bar, which ended up being a great move. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and we enjoyed several glasses from their excellent wine selection. Our bar tender was knowledgeable, welcoming, and she made the whole experience feel elevated without being pretentious. For entrees, my wife ordered the chicken and fries, crispy, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. But, I've also really enjoyed some dishes, and my friends have loved what they've tried too! It's fun to try the new menus and see what Blaine has cooked up next. We stopped by this Black-owned wine bar on Austin Street and grabbed a table on the left side near the door. Right away the vibe felt right. The space was cozy but lively, and the DJ was absolutely on point. The music was so good that what started as "just one dance" quickly turned into a full line-dancing situation for most of the night. We started with a cheese board, which paired perfectly with the bottle of wine we ordered (something with "Poppy" in the name -- and trust me, it was really good). Now here's where the night took an unexpected but memorable turn. I danced so long that I completely missed the kitchen closing at 10 PM. By about 10:30 the dancing had caught up with me and I realized I was starving. I asked if there was any chance I could still order something, fully expecting the answer to be no. Instead, the owner and bartender went above and beyond. They actually went back to the kitchen and made it happen. A little while later I had a fresh pepperoni pizza in front of me -- and it was delicious. That kind of hospitality sticks with you. Between the great DJ, good wine, tasty bites, and genuine customer care, Meet Me at Marie's delivered a night that was equal parts chill wine bar and dance floor fun. Safe to say... I'll definitely be back. And next time I'll try to remember to order before the kitchen closes -- but it's nice to know they've got your back if you forget.
