Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere and delectable tapas to satisfy any wine connoisseur. The Pan con Tomate is a must. Taste, texture and temperature was perfect. Nice variety of charcuterie boards. Impressive wine list. We'll be back soon!

So I went to Waco to visit my friend and we chose this place for lunch. We had tapas and wine. We got the pan con tomate and the patatas bravas. With the pan con tomatoe you take the garlic and tomatoes and crush it over the bread and then you pour some high-quality olive oil on top. After that you sprinkle some salt over it and eat it with the wine. It was honestly a really great way to eat bread. I had never actually scraped garlic on bread before, but it honestly tasted so good and fresh, this was something super easy that I could also try at home which I really loved. The patatas bravas were also really good. It had Dallas with a gravy that tasted amazing and the potatoes were very crispy and cooked well. Of course, this was a wine bar and the wine did not disappoint. We both enjoyed the wine that we got. Needless to say we were happy with our experience here. The ambience is really cute and would make for a great date night. the waiter was also really nice. We enjoyed the service here as well.

Albondigas. Highly recommend! 5 meatballs and the sauce is heavy! The bread is a perfect pairing to scoop up the left over sauce.

The ambience is cool and calming. Beautiful design of the mixture of brick and wood. Makes you feel like you are in an old world building. The low lighting and different seating choices makes it accessible and comfortable for everyone. The service was top notch. Answered all of our questions as people who love wine but aren't particularly familiar with some of the more diverse Spanish regional wines. It was fun to try different menu items and find great new elements if each food item we tried that we either hadn't liked in its own before or had never tried. The thoughtful way sweet and savory elements are paired with complimentary textures was amazing.

Amazing ambiance, servers who know how often to check in and are friendly. Great vinho verde, and the sampler is toppings on toasted bread was very good, along with the pan con tomate which involves rubbing garlic on toast and topping with perfectly ripe tomatoes for the freshest taste ever. Definitely recommend!

Quaint wine bar that specializes in Spanish wines! The owners are super nice people, you would go there just to hang out with them, but then they have som delicious tapas offerings and wines to charm any palate. Highly recommend that you stop in and try this place out!

Love this precious wine bar!! Great service, great recommendations, very friendly! It was very laid back with live music, sit where you want kind of place. Good wine selections and we asked the server to pick three faves of tapas and he did not disappoint! Excellent food choices! Potato, meatball, and shrimp! Yum!!

We had a pleasant time at the bar eating tapas and drinking wine. We were provided with excellent service by the owner who truly cares about her guests and is very knowledgeable on what is offered to us. We were given great recommendations on the wine. We ordered 3 pintxos which was served on delicious crisp baguettes. We had the manchego & serano, majorero & chorizo and one with mushrooms. All tasted amazing. Another tapa we got was the chorizo al vino. It was sweet and savory after being cooked in white wine. It had so much flavor and was really juicy. If only we came here on an empty stomach we would've tried more. If we ever come back to Waco we would definitely return and try more of what they have to offer!

Love this wine bar & restaurant so much that we came back for a second round. Spent a couple days in Waco and found Segovia the first night in town. Service was excellent and everyone was welcoming. Kristen, Courtney and Armando took the time to visit with us and give us recommendations on other places to visit while in the area. We will absolutely visit again and recommend to others!

Holy smokes! This place is amazing! Kristen did a great job, she was very familiar with all the wines and tapas. We will make this a must go to spot every time we come to Waco!!

The Burger was good but the steak bowl was very disappointing. It was $19 but the portion was incredibly small, I think it was one of the most expensive items in the menu, if not the most and it was really small. I had to share my burger with my mom bc the portion was so small that she was hungry after eating it. Other than that, the service was great. Way too overpriced for what it was. We kind of regretted going, especially because so many people recommended us to go.

In particular the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts caught my eye, unfortunately the latter was sold out so I went with the sweet potato Both dishes I had were really good! The candied bacon paired really nicely with the creamy deviled egg, the hot sauce vinaigrette didn't add too much flavor, but honestly adding a significant amount of heat would've probably taken away from an already very tasty dish. The baked sweet potato on the other hand had a nice dose of heat from the Calabrian honey vinaigrette, the sweet heat combo worked really, I'm surprised I'd never come across a spicy sweet potato dish before, but I'll definitely have my eye out for it in the future Overall I had a very good experience and will definitely be back for future rest stop meals between Austin and Dallas!

We started with the pan-roasted romanesco, which was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The bread service with compound butter was a standout on its own: simple, but done at such a high level that it set the tone for the entire meal. We grabbed seats at the bar, which ended up being a great move. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and we enjoyed several glasses from their excellent wine selection. Our bar tender was knowledgeable, welcoming, and she made the whole experience feel elevated without being pretentious. For entrees, my wife ordered the chicken and fries, crispy, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. I went with Blaine's burger, and I don't say this lightly: it's hands down one of the top three burgers of my life. Perfectly cooked, beautifully balanced, and unforgettable. Blaine's is doing something special. If you're in Waco and looking for a place that nails both food and experience, this is it. We'll be back soon.

Presentation of the dishes was attractive and thoughtful, and we were pleased with our wine selections. We started by sharing the poblano corn chowder. Unfortunately, the dominant impression was salt. The soup was more of a brown, creamy sauce with chicken and corn than the aromatic, herb-forward poblano chowder I was expecting. Beyond the saltiness, there wasn't much depth or complexity of flavor. For entrées, we ordered the steak and the ahi tuna tomahawk. Both were visually impressive, but once again the overwhelming characteristic was salt. The tuna may have had a hint of tarragon, but it was difficult to appreciate much else. The steak was exceedingly salty--surprisingly so, even for someone who is not shy about using salt. Service was courteous but somewhat inattentive and slower than expected. At this price point, I would have hoped for more attentive service and a broader range of flavors rather than repeated assaults on the sodium receptors. One final curiosity: water was served in what appeared to be small jelly jars, which felt a bit odd given the otherwise upscale presentation. Overall, Blaine's gets good marks for ambiance, presentation, wine, and especially the live music. Unfortunately, the kitchen's heavy-handed use of salt overshadowed much of the meal. With more restraint in seasoning and a bit more attention to service, this could be an exceptional dining experience.

We stopped by this Black-owned wine bar on Austin Street and grabbed a table on the left side near the door. Right away the vibe felt right. The space was cozy but lively, and the DJ was absolutely on point. The music was so good that what started as "just one dance" quickly turned into a full line-dancing situation for most of the night. We started with a cheese board, which paired perfectly with the bottle of wine we ordered (something with "Poppy" in the name -- and trust me, it was really good). Now here's where the night took an unexpected but memorable turn. I danced so long that I completely missed the kitchen closing at 10 PM. By about 10:30 the dancing had caught up with me and I realized I was starving. I asked if there was any chance I could still order something, fully expecting the answer to be no. Instead, the owner and bartender went above and beyond. They actually went back to the kitchen and made it happen. A little while later I had a fresh pepperoni pizza in front of me -- and it was delicious. That kind of hospitality sticks with you. Between the great DJ, good wine, tasty bites, and genuine customer care, Meet Me at Marie's delivered a night that was equal parts chill wine bar and dance floor fun. Safe to say... I'll definitely be back. And next time I'll try to remember to order before the kitchen closes -- but it's nice to know they've got your back if you forget.
