Pepperoni pizza

Visiting friends outside of Austin and wanted to check out Buc-ee's. Found this restaurant on Yelp and had to try it. Recommend the bread basket with garlic oil and a yummy flavored butter. The side salad was crisp and refreshing on a hot day. Thin pepperoni pizza had a nice thin, crispy crust - more sauce would've been nice.

A group of friends and I were looking to have some good food on a busy Saturday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. Our server Shawn was so attentive and made our experience go from "good" to "pretty awesome". His recommendations for the house wine and the catch of the day were spot on. The birthday girl had a good time and some delicious house-made creme brûlée.

Chocolate cake. Huge portion.

The ambience is very loud. It can be difficult to hear and you feel like shouting. This ruins the romantic "date night" feel for me. The service was excellent. Our waitress was "Augie" (short for Augustina) The food was the big surprise. The bread was amazing as was the dipping oil. The garlic butter with honey was wonderful on the bread. We got the tomato soup and it was one of the best I have had in a very long time. We got the eggplant rollitini. The butterfly pasta was the star of the dish. While the eggplant was excellent the butterfly pasta I could have eaten every day. The green beans were a little over cooked but still not bad. I will include a picture of the HUGE slice of chocolate cake I received. I will be eating it for a week. The price for four people was $150. So it was not outrageous. Recommended.

Lobster Ravioli. The sauce was the hero.

We talked in the renovated Pignetti's; people were kind and welcoming. We sat down and the wait for Sean was training Sarah. Bithe were kind and energetic. We ordered the blackened redfish, lobster ravioli and shrimp pasta. The food was tasty and consistent with the price. We finished with the creme brulee and had a wonderful evening.

Birthday Dinner at PIGNETTI'S we are new to the area and trying out restaurants in downtown Temple, TX. They have only been opening three weeks prior from the Tornado of last year. Great Italian food like I am use to from New York. Everything was excellent, both owners were walking around talking to customers and so was the manager, Shannon who chatted with us for awhile and gave us some tips on other restaurants in the downtown area. Wife had Chicken Picatta, her favorite dish and she loved it. The Bread basket with Oil was great nice hot fresh bread to dip in the hard oil. The Rib Eye Lasagna was very good a little different with the Rib Eye but delicious all the way through. Our waiter Daniel was outstanding and always ready to answer any questions we had. They do not serve hard liquor cause they do not have that type license, they have a wine club on site. Over all a very pleasant and wonderful evening we will be back a few more dishes we have to try. Keep up the great work

I found this place through Yelp since it has a great rating. And it was a nice place for dinner. I had order a mushroom pasta, A spritzer. I this was the best pasta I had lately and also my best Spritz so far. My husband had a mussels dish and it was pretty tasty too!

We rented the private room next to the main restaurant for a work event for about 40 peeps. The staff were super friendly and very attentive. The tables were nicely sett and we ordered a set menu buffet style of steak, chicken, ravioli, veggies, and mashed potatoes. The food was tasty and nicely prepared. Drinks and cocktails were aplenty and we all were able to converse and have a good time. The cost wasn't bad either, a few thousand. The restaurant itself is one of the better restaurants in Temple.

Absolute gem of an Italian restaurant hidden in a large town in Temple, TX! I honestly did not have any expectations going in, and I found the food to be delicious. Serving staff was kind and courteous. I ordered their bread basket - which had a tasteful crunch for each piece of bread (and worth the $5)! I also got their beef stroganoff and was beyond impressed with the dish! Props to the kitchen. If I ever find myself back in Temple, I will return for sure, hungry for more!

Was super disappointed about this one. Locals suggested the place and we did a delivery order on the weekend. The pizza wasn't cooked all the way through and the spaghetti was terrible. We love Italian and didn't finish either. I wouldn't call authentic Italian. The only saving grace was the deviled eggs.

Pignetti's is a nicer Italian restaurant that is great for the upscale vibes, but the service left something to be desired. My friends and I made a large reservation for 14. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but we would describe the service as bizarre. They only gave menus for every other seat, although the restaurant wasn't full, so it was concerning that they didn't have enough menus. The server was very insistent on taking our wine glasses if we didn't order anything to drink. Maybe that's just protocol, but it felt very odd. I'm not picky at all about service, but we got really weird vibes from the server as it felt she did not really care about being nice to us, which we felt may have been because we were a group of young people. This felt so odd because this is a nicer restaurant where we would expect the service to be nicer as well. We later discovered there was an automatic gratuity of 20% charged for large parties, so perhaps the server didn't care to make a good impression because of that. They also charged a 3% service fee (credit card fee?) in addition to the automatic gratuity, which didn't feel right for such a well-established restaurant. I understand this for hole-in-the-wall restaurants that prefer cash, but a nice restaurant that already charges high prices imparting the credit card fee onto customers is kind of absurd. One of my friends asked if this is illegal, but I believe it is legal in Texas and may have been recently outlawed in California. Apart from these charges and the poor service, we really enjoyed the food. My friend and I shared the black truffle sacchetti. The flavour was delicious. Because we were sharing, the portion was very small. However, a full portion would not have been enough for me either if I were hungry. I really savoured every bite of it.

It is a cozy place with great music and the perfect ambience

I love Pignetti's. Their butternut squash ravioli is worth driving the state of TX for. Highly recommend.

La Riv is a great dinner spot for a nicer, celebratory meal with family or friends with locations…read morein both Temple and Georgetown! It's pricey for the portion size but has nice menu offerings for an Italian steakhouse. It was nice to try but I don't plan on returning. NOTES: - Reservations: available online through OpenTable - Parking: free lot in front and next to the building - Happy hour: Tuesday to Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm - Closed Sunday and Monday THE HIGHS: - Beautiful interior and comfortable seating - Attentive servers and food comes out quickly - They will split salads for you which makes it easy to share - Wood fired pizza is AMAZING! - Chocolate cake for dessert... one of the best pieces I've ever had! THE LOWS: - Expensive for the portion size - Server was super friendly but she came to the table too often... it kept interrupting our conversation and she would ask how the food was before we had even taken a bite - Bucatini al' La Riv... the pasta was house made and cooked to a nice al dente but the dish lacked flavor and was very bland - Some of the menu items don't have prices listed (golden beets salad which was new and the chocolate cake slice which I think was a special) THE PRICE: Expensive for the portion size (good quality but not justified by the price) - Tea ($2.75) - Garlic ciabatta bread ($6) - Grilled wedge salad ($18) - Golden beefs salad ($18) - Pizza Bianca ($22) - Bucatini al' La Riv ($24) - Ravioli ($28) - Short rib pappardelle ($36) - 2 chocolate cake slices ($16 each) The total was $202.16 after tax ($15.41) but before tip. BEST BITES: - Chocolate cake (moist, fudgey, and rich in all the best ways) - Pizza Bianca (delicious sourdough crust with wood fired char, fresh ingredients, and the perfect size for a meal or sharing as an appetizer) - Garlic ciabatta bread (getting 4 pieces for $6 feels like a steal compared to some of the other menu items... it was a perfect appetizer to share) THE VERDICT: This was my first visit to La Riv and I enjoyed my meal overall. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and there was no acknowledgement... I kind of wish they had made the dinner feel a little more special. With how expensive it is, I don't think I'll be returning and probably would only recommend it to others if they really want to splurge and don't have any other options.

Upscale Italian dining which is a rare find in Temple/Belton. Almost the same as their location in…read moreGeorgetown, a bit smaller. Easy parking off West Adams. Service was nice and attentive. The food was fabulous. Highly recommend the ravioli which is made fresh in house. We added salmon to the ravioli order. Salmon was a nice thick cut and not overcooked. Polenta was creamy and savory. The pizza is rustic style and such a treat. I was surprised the Caesar salad didn't come with anchovies as most upscale restaurants serve it like this. I did not care for the spice on the broccolini - I was not expecting it. The broccolini has a beautiful smoky charred flavor with pine nuts and they put some sort of spicy chili oil on it that I found distracting. Great wine list and cocktails but I wish they could expand their wine by the glass menu. Hopefully they offer a rotating seasonal menu because it seems they keep the menu pretty tight, which is ok with me as long as they change it up a couple times a year.
