Enjoyed my Lulu's juice. Place has nicely displayed produce and the prepared food case looked great.

So far I have tried their coffee bar. It was delicious. Organic coffee, organic milk, organic juice, really good. Price is fair $3.25 for an organic Latte, other place could cost $5 and they don't even use organic ingredients. The place is clean, well organized. They carry many local, handcrafted, organic products like chocolates, pasta sauces, salsas, etc. I think the staff can be more friendly, but again I only go get a coffee, not a dining experience so doesn't matter. read more

So this place has a great selection of things like jellies, olives and high end deli stuff. Planning an appetizer event, it would have been nice. They also make sandwiches and even breakfast which we did not try either. We thought we would go back...we just wanted to start the day with coffee and a pastry. They just are not nice, not mean but being that we were there first thing in the morning....a little friendly service would have been appreciated. The croissant was alright but very expensive for what it was. The muffin had a crispy top and dry inside....my husband said it was good but as I pointed out, he likes scones I like muffins....it had the texture of a scone. Then I need a napkin.....and that's where they really earned my ire....really, in a place like Montecito, and paying the prices we were paying, I have to ask at the counter for a napkin. It is not like there are homeless people hanging outside the door waiting to steel their napkins. Over all......probably a great place for specialized items....just not friendly and welcoming. read more

Lovely little market, food options are quite surprising and the little park to eat in is very peaceful

Breakfast burrito is magical. Coffee is delicious. Staff are friendly. Lovely place to have a small bite be it breakfast or a quick coffee.

Food poisoning alert. This place isn't serving fresh, clean food like a cafe should. Health inspection and strict hygiene must be followed.

There is an upstairs home goods section. Downstairs is a food store of sorts, plus a women's clothing store and a wine bistro. So it is a mini department store in Montecito. Brought here by a friend who lives in the area and we got the Quinoa salad for lunch. It was OK. Santa Barbara area is a food desert like San Luis Obispo and San Simeon areas. But it is a charming little store with much to offer if you can afford the price. read more

I have vague memories of the deli counter and meat and cheese rollups here as a child, though I could be thinking of a long- gone other grocer or deli spot. Nowadays, Pierre lafond is a good stop for a drink and a cookie (or two, or three). Madeline's, chocolate chip, etc etc. Honest Teas, over-priced fancy agua. You got it. Green lawn for people's dogs to do their business, uh-huh. read more

Like almost everything in Montecito it's overrated, overpriced and bland. Millionaires taste. Ordered a sandwich and coffee for close to $30 because I'm a fool that's exhausting every restaurant in the tourist trap I call home. Maybe this time it would surprise, but nah. A starbucks and jimmy johns in an airport would be a 5 star compared to what I ate. Poured out the coffee it was so bad. Sandwich was ate and felt weird about it later. read more

Stay away, Racist. We came in on a Thursday early evening, and no one would wait on us..there were 5 people working but they just ignored us..no greeting nothing, then we asked if we could receive service and one lady in the front end said "just wait". She was very rude with a rude tone..and the complete customer experience is the worst based on my 25 years in Santa Barbara. I believe this is reverse racism. Considering we're Caucasian and Jewish. With 4-5 workers in the deli it would of been easy to complete service, but it's obvious the personnel dislikes their job and customers, I'm 72 years old and have never witnessed such disrespect and discrimination. We will never be back and are boycotting all friends snd relatives to never come back. We are considering filing a civil lawsuit suit for Gross discrimination, based on anti Semitic racism and well speak to the DA regarding filing a criminal complaint. read more

LOVE this spot in upper Montecito village. ORGANIC and fresh breakfast, lunch, salad bar, & casual eats. The coffee is ORGANIC, strong, rich, and always fresh & hot. Scrumptious deserts ( I'm nuts about their carrot cake with bountiful pineapple frosting). Oh, and the price point fits just about any budget. Comfortable, sweet outside eating area. Whimsical, exotic chocolate bar selection and an amazing array of balsamic, dips, and other delectable savories. This is only place I've been to in the SB area that is in touch with what is trending in the healthy food world in LA and beyond: innovative avocado toast, amazing veggie towers, and THE BEST SMOOTHIES! read more

The New Cashier at the market is terribly hostile. We have come to the market for years and the cashiers are not friendly but down right hostile is already unacceptable. Also don't you know that the croissants have gone down hill as well since they are stale. For a high priced convenience market you should train the cashiers to be friendly not appear factory like a 7-11 store. Thank you. read more

Overpriced!! Because they have such poor ingredients in their food! Processed meats and cheese in sandwiches made with cheap white toast bread. Wraps are horrid and smell like they are not fresh. The rice is mush and way too much of that cheese in there. I tried it twice because I thought it's always possible to get one bad meal. But yeah... second time was just as bad. They have an amazing spot there and this could be something really special. A few upgrades in quality of ingredients used and it could be great! I'll take paninis 10 times over the food here. read more

The shop is very cute and the bathrooms are very clean. Really loved the atmosphere of the place and their deli food is delicious. They really had a nice variety of things to buy, however, everything is a little pricey so beware. The staff behind the counter aren't super attentive so if you want something you need to make yourself noticed. Overall it's a really nice place to stop at if you're on the road and would definitely visit again. read more

Love this place. Delish. Fresh. Busy, so be patient. But actually worth the wait. Love the location.

A Montecito staple. Staff is always very kind and the selection of food is accommodating for everyone -- between the smoothie and coffee bar, deli selection, assortment of baked and the grab and go groceries there is no limit of options. The best part is the patio and park seating. Always a good time at Pierre La Fond. read more

Nice market. Good fit for the area. BUT, i wish Pierre La Fond would fix their customer service. Zero greetings. No smiles from the staff. Market has great potential but the customer service is a 1-star. I gave it 4- star review because I am hopeful they will make an effort to improve their customer service. read more

Pierre Lafond is one of my boyfriend's local spots for coffee and sandwiches. His sister even worked there for a while. We went with a couple friends one day for a casual lunch, and it was more expensive than I expected, but food-wise pretty solid. The place is kind of like a small scale Gelson's or Whole Foods, where you can get food and drink as well as a limited selection of produce and things like picnic baskets and artisan chocolates. The deli area is in the middle, and you order at a counter and pay at a register. The staff is friendly all around. My boyfriend and one of our friends are pathologically picky eaters, and they ordered grilled cheese sandwiches off the kid's menu for under $4. No one on staff so much as commented. My hungrier friend and I split the Summerland and the Kobe burger. The Summerland came with roasted turkey, brie, whole grain mustard, and cranberry chutney on toasted brioche. The sandwich was a bit too sweet and the amount of brie should have been halved, but it was still decent. The Kobe burger was quite good, with roasted portobellos, balsamic marinated onions, white cheddar, and garlic aioli on a toasted bun. The meat was pretty good and juicy, formed into an irregularly shaped patty. Portobellos and balsamic onions are such a hack, but you can't argue with tasty results. The Summerland was $13 and the burger was $15, making Pierre Lafond pretty pricy for such a casual place. Still, the food was definitely good and I'd consider coming back. The place has a lovely outdoor patio with plentiful seating, and we enjoyed a relaxing meal in beautiful Santa Barbara weather that I would not mind repeating. read more

I've been coming here literally since I was probably 8 years old. Great place to pick up coffee and a delicious pastry, try the Farm Cake! If you have some extra time grab some lunch! This place has only gone down hill over the decades. The food is awful! I recently ordered a ham and turkey panini. They put the sandwich in the microwave before putting it on the panini grill for a quick minute. The people that work there are rude and never smile. Cookies are very stale in the afternoon. read more

Any time I'm in the area I absolutely must stop at this market for a Farm Cake. It's like this muffin / cupcake that's rich in chocolate chips and cream cheese. Probably not the best description but they are amazing! The coffee bar and staff are also great. I love looking into the clothing shop that's connected to the market too. They have the cutest clothes and jewelry. I believe it's called Pierre La Fond. I haven't actually tried any of the other food, but the Farm Cake alone is enough to make a stop. read more

It is so great to have a small market with good quality food when we're in town. The selection of pasties is great for a quick breakfast bite. Good location. Plenty of parking. Good selection of food items. Nice place to grab lunch, dinner and picnic items. In a shopping area of Montecito. Good customer service. Shop keepers nearby were inquisitive to see a person of color shopping. Several patrons stopped to stare. If you can ignore the rudeness then you've found a gem. Montecito overall is use to seeing celebrities so if you're not one you might get a snooty or cool reception. Not this establishment's responsibility to uphold the entire community. However, this is not the norm in the area! Most places are very friendly and the surrounding shops are customer friendly! read more

Pierre's is a nice neighborhood spot with a selection of fine imported treats, primarily French. They have a pretty patio with nice shade and it's a good place to relax and grab a bite. They also have wifi. I have tried the chicken enchilada and the turkey sandwich. Both were ok but probably overpriced. They're good but not crazy delicious. All around its a nice quality market with high prices, a pretty good food counter, and a very basic wine selection of French and Californian wines. Good in a pinch! read more

What a pretentious place full of snotty yuppies. The food is meh.,, I had vegan polenta and as I was cutting it, found 2 hairs in it (which is disgusting). The cookie I got tasted stale. The food isn't horrifically terrible but it's definitely not mind blowing by a long shot. As I was opening the door to go eat on the patio (my hands are full w/a plate of food) some rude woman covered in her uppity designer wear and diamonds tried to push past me and almost knocked the food out of my hand. The woman working the coffee station rolled her eyes at everyone (I can't decide if it's because she hates her job or all the privileged jerks frequenting the place). There are a million better places to eat in the Santa Barbara area, especially considering the clientele here, all driving their hipster Teslas and Range Rovers, should be smacked for their self absorbed rudeness. read more

I've been coming here since 1984. I've been here probably a thousand times...no exaggeration at all. So here's the straight scoop. First of all Pierre LaFond is NOT Montecito Wine Bistro. Yes they are next door to one another and yes Pierre owns them both. But one is a gourmet deli...like order your food, pay at a register, and then carry your food to sit outside. There are two small eating areas inside as well. They have everything. Sandwiches, hot foods, salad bar, breakfast, pastries, coffee bar, fresh juice and smoothies, deserts, candy, beer, odd and unusual drinks, and a fantastic selection of wine. The food is reliably good. It is made in house. You can see them cooking it from scratch in there. I've eaten about everything here and I'm pleased. It does seem like they don't warm up the deli case items enough sometimes. The problem? The staff sucks. They just don't give a crap. They never smile. Speak about you in Spanish behind your back. I know, but they don't think that I speak Spanish. And the lady who manages the place is an absolute grouch....that's the nicest word that I could use for her. Absolutely worth going there for breakfast, lunch, or a casual and early dinner. read more

I have been grabbing lunch here off and on for years with mixed results, though mostly good. Tonight, however, it was horrendous. I ordered the tri-tip tacos, and they were inedible. The alleged tri-tip consisted of tiny little briquettes that were of the consistency of gravel. Because I had taken the meal home after a long hard days work, I was simply too exhausted to return the dreck and demand a refund, so I scraped off the charcoal and had veggie tacos instead. Beware and check your order before you leave if you deign to eat here. read more
