First time visit and definitely a return spot. My wife and I finally made to and everything was delicious. The young lady who was at the register and serving the food was great. Very nice and patient. I had the pierogi and sausage combo and my wife had the sausage and fries with German potato salad. The potato salad was probably one of the best we have had. The sausage was very flavorful and a good portion. The pierogis were excellent. Great flavor, great texture and excellent filling. The restaurant itself is very nice and relaxing. Will be returning again for sure.

The food was 4-star. You order and pay at the counter. They give you a number to place on your table and then you wait for your food to be delivered. It took quite awhile to get our food. They did the takeout and delivery orders before doing ours. And there was a very large pickup order. And one guy who came in way after us got his food before... supposedly because the steamed pierogi are faster than the fried, but I think he was a regular and was just given priority. When we finally got our food, the gal did apologize for the wait. We were given our side first -- a small bowl of cucumber salad. This was a cold salad with sliced cucumbers and scallions (?) in sour cream. I liked it, but my husband wasn't thrilled. More for me! After a while, we finally got our cooked food -- the pierogi and Polish sausage combo which we shared. The pierogi were filled with potato and lightly fried. They were good. There were 6 on the plate topped with bits of caramelized onions. The Polish sausage pieces were scored and grilled well done. I'd thought they might be spicy, but they weren't -- just a bit seasoned. The two pieces made it easy to share. And they were quite good as well. Also, the plate had 3 little cups of ketchup, mustard, and sour cream on it. I'm glad we got the combo as we were able to try a bit of both items. This combo comes with a choice of side. I think my husband would have preferred their sauerkraut or fries. The only negative is that you have to eat with plastic silverware -- not the easiest to cut the sausage with -- on paper plates. I'm sure it's to cut costs and they seemed biodegradable, but... They have 9 savory types of pierogis and 3 dessert sweet ones. I think I'd also like to try one of their meat pierogis in the future.

Love piergois and so glad to find one near me! I'll definitely be coming back bc loved the potato and cheese pan fried ones! I did try the vanilla dessert ones, which tasted very grainy. Not what I was expecting, but I'll be coming back to try the other vegetarian options!

Cute little restaurant . Order at the counter and they will bring it to your table when ready. E prepare to wait because they are very slow. They have many different types of pierogis...meat, cheese, potato, sweet dessert type, all an available boiled or fried. Unfortunately fried are not pan fried, but deep fried, which I wasn't a a big fan of. Boiled much better. Served with sautéed onions and scallions. They could've used a lot more onions and honestly could've skipped the scallions. Also had borscht which was pretty tasty but needed to be hotter. They didn't offer cold. They also had kielbasa which looked good but we didn't try it. So overall everything was fine, but incredibly overpriced. One of us had 12 pierogis and one of us had 6 pierogis and borscht, and 2 sodas, and it cost over $50 before tip. I'd say I probably wont be running back.

Was skeptical at first- thought they are overrated. Definitely changed my opinion: best pierogi in S Florida. Can't wait to go back

I looked at the items in the market. Nothing stood out that I had to get. We then sat down and met our waiter which I believe is also the owner. He had that like Eastern European way about him, stern, direct and right to the point. We ordered the polish plate, pierogi, and potato pancakes and goo-lash. The pancakes came first. You can tell they're homemade. Very thin. Different sizes. They were good. The owner told us to try it with sugar as that's how they do it in Poland. I tried it. It was different. I then tried the pierogi. He gave us one cheese potato, one sauerkraut and one with something else. They were also good. We then got the polish plate which came with sausage, sauerkraut with meat, stuffed cabbage and potatoes. It was ok. I thought the potatoes were eh. The cabbage and the sauce was good the sausage was good. I then got the goo-lash. That thing was thick with large pieces of pork and gnocchi. That was very good. Filling too. Overall, the food was good. Nothing really bad. Solid place. I'd come back.

Throwback to Germany Circa 2006-2011…read more.. We lived in Germany for 5 years and absolutely loved it, namely Bavaria which imho is the best and prettiest region in the entire country. We spent many vacations in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and gained an affinity for fine Bavarian-style German food... Old Heidelberg brought back the nostalgia and unique flavors that Bavaria has to offer. Our hotel attendant recommended the restaurant as it's a less than a 1/2 mile walk from the hotel... We gladly obliged, as the Yelp reviews were great. Glad we did because Old Heidelberg was excellent. The restaurant looks like the classic Bavarian joint, with all the decor, music, and quintessential German-feel... When you walk in you instantly want a German draft beer (and they have a great selection to choose from); recommend starting with the dark lager and ending with the pils. As for the food, it was some of the best Bavarian we've had in the States. Everything was scratch cooking, huge portions (way too much to eat in one setting), friendly/prompt service, and simply outstanding. My only complaint was Old Heidelberg was astonishingly expensive ($130 for dinner w/ tip, 2 people... 4 beers and two entrees)... Aside from the hefty price, this place is worth the stop when in town. Dave Portnoy 7.9

Jackie was our server and she was efficient and friendly. We were served bread and drinks quickly and ordered the potato pancakes to start. They were crispy and hot and served with sour cream and apple sauce. For mains most everyone got a form of schnitzel. They have many variations including chicken, pork, and veal. They can be ordered plain or with a few sauce options. A favorite was the Bavarian with mushroom gravy and cheese. Oh, this is so good! I tried the saurbraten which is sliced eye of the round with a tangy gravy and dumplings. All of the mains come with soup or salad and spaetzle and red cabbage. The soup is incredible and I could easily eat this daily. All of the food was well prepared and delicious and the portions are huge. We all took food home. Old Heidelberg is a very authentic German restaurant that feels like a trip to the Motherland. Very cozy setting and warm staff make this a special treat. The selection of German beers are a bonus!

Although interesting for a Russian menu- which I have not had in years. The ambiance is super luxurious, like a nightclub. There is a long bar area with multiple colored lights. Our table for 6 had chairs & a couch with pillows. Like a Lounge. On the right side of the bar was a DJ spinning music. There is an outdoor patio on the lake as well. I did get up & dance for a bit- but there wasn't much room for the dance floor. I would consider going back for lunch when it's quiet & order off their menu. I did get the shrimp kabob & hubby got lamb kabob. Both very good. Obviously, too full for dessert.

But I like the original menu, so made a note to have dinner there soon. Cut to this past week and we took out my aunt and mother-in-law for the aunts birthday. They like classy places with international menus so Beluga was perfect. It was a great night. The waitress recommended the beef stroganoff and it was a great call. The appetizers, spicy carrots and potato salad, were excellent. We got desserts as well. The Strudel was really good. At one point they asked us to write wishes on spot dishes and after we all did a dance in a circle they were thrown on the ground. It was the best spot I ate this year so far. We will be back soon enough, at least for a drink. Check out their tiramisu martini.
