Kept seeing this Lebanese restaurant along Federal Hwy and finally had the rare opportunity to try it. I've had mediterranean food plenty of times but never Lebanese coffee but knew it was super strong. The waitress made traditional Lebanese coffee in a mini metal kettle or Rakweh, presented on a gold colored metal serving tray. I poured the thick black coffee into a small porcelain cup. The taste was extremely strong, nothing at all like cuban coffee. Aside from the coffee, they have a ful traditional Lebanese menu including a great drink special - Monday thru Thursday all day Sangrias for only $6.00.

Ferdos Special. Chicken kabob , shish kabob, kafta kabob, tabouli, hummus, baba gannoul. My favorite.

OH MY Word Authentic, like momma made it. In love with the place, the food and the vibe are equally wonderful. Staff is gracious and welcoming. If you enjoy authentic Mediterranean food at its finest. Take it from a happy foodie. This is it. Rob

Excellent from start to finish. The place is beautiful inside. The booths the chandeliers so ornate. Great attention to detail. Our server was such a gentleman. Very attentive. The food was perfect. Lentil soup, zaatar manakeesh and the mixed grill platter. We actually wound up have 4 meals from it. 3 dinners and one lunch. It's the kind of place that you're planning your next meal at before you even finish. The almond cake dessert was amazing too and expresso was perfect. Everything was so fresh. They also told me they've been open 27 years so they are definitely doing it right.

I've been driving by this restaurant for the 25 years I've lived in Ft Lauderdale. I finally gave it a try on 2/3/24. We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday night and 3 tables were occupied. In the beginning we had great service from the male server. We ordered an appetizer and entree. The server asked if we wanted it all at once or one at a time. We chose one at a time. While we waited for the appetizer another staff member brought us warm pita. There is olive oil at the table for one to dip it in. We received the Arayes appetizer 10 minutes after ordering it. It was delicious. This is when things went downhill. We waited one hour after receiving the appetizer to receive the Shawarma entree. While sitting there waiting for the entree, the staff ignored us for 45 minutes. The male who refills waters checked on us and said our entree will be out shortly. Then the female owner checked on us and said it would be coming up soon. Then the male server came to our table and told us we never ordered the Shawarma and now the owner is yelling at him because we told her we were waiting on our entree. It was so unprofessional. The entree came out about 10 minutes after the server spoke with us. The owner never apologized for the mistake or acknowledged it. The entree was delicious too, but I am staying with the 1 star rating due to the terrible and unprofessional service. They automatically add 18% gratuity to the bill, which we did pay, but felt it should have been removed.

We ordered takeout for the first time and it was excellent! We originally were going to dine in, but we were on a time crunch to go home so we popped in and ordered our meal to go. We came on a Monday night and were greeted right away. We were escorted to the bar and the hostess/server gave us a few minutes to peruse the menu. She suggested the Ferdo Special Platter to share which came with a little bit of everything; protein, rice, salad and hummus along with garlic sauce. We also ordered a side of French fries. While we waited, we enjoyed a glass of delicious Lebanese wine. Our food came out shortly after finishing our wines and we were on our way. With our short time there, the service was great and we'll definitely be back to dine in. When we get home, our food was packaged nicely and it was alllll delicious! The meats were cooked to perfection and she even gave us extra pita to enjoy. All of the flavors were fresh and plentiful and we ate the whole thing. A new Mediterranean spot to add to our rotation!

Came here for the first time and cannot recommend enough. Will be our new go to whenever I am in town. Lucy our waitress had the best recommendations for a group of three and was so friendly, we felt like family. Tried the stuffed grape leaves and kibbeh Bil as an app, the special with samples of everything and baklava. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just absolutely amazing!

An absolute VIBE. Totally recommend this place. Free parking out front. Our orders: chicken kebab, shish kebab (med rare), hot tea, hummus, tabouleh. The music is a vibe, food was 11/10, and service was fun. I could bathe in the hummus

9/30/24- place was empty. But . I ordered the Tawook Chick. Platter. It came with small ramekins of garlic sauce yum, also a nice salad with a very tasty dressing. Plus hummus and pita, ( looks as if they butterfly them. ) Very thin, but good. Service was nice. By the time I left some more people arrived .

The first thing we noticed, which was a bit unexpected, was the decor. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. This is the type of restaurant where someone could host a party. The service was really good too. We received water almost immediately after being seated, and our server came by shortly after. The manager stopped by throughout our visit to provide recommendations, and he was really nice. It made the experience feel more personal. For our appetizer, we ordered the Baba Ghannouj, which complemented the pita bread really well. It was our first time having it, and we did not know what to expect, but it was great. It was really flavorful, and we finished it wanting more. For our entrees, we had the Lamb Chops and the Seafood Tagine. The lamb chops were great. It was not a huge portion, but the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The presentation was also really nice. The Seafood Tagine looked great, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Everything about the dish worked well together, and we felt that all the flavors complemented one another. There was a good harmony between the ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the Kunafa, which was another first for us. We had never had it before, but the description really sold us on it. It was really good. This is the kind of dessert that is best shared since it is a little heavy. Toward the end of our visit, a belly dancer came out to perform, and it was really exciting. La Vie is a great restaurant, and we will definitely return. We felt as though we got a true Mediterranean experience during our visit.

For our entrees we got chicken tagine and lamb chops. I must say the lamb chops were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. I definitely recommend getting them medium. All in all if you're looking for something different definitely go check it out!

My attitude was simple: it's about celebrating my friend. I'm so glad I did because this visit completely changed my mind. The restaurant's new location (where Mellow Mushroom used to be) is beautiful, spacious, and has a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for gathering with friends. Since we were sharing, we sampled a little of everything, and it was all delicious. Favorites included the falafel, Lebanese moussaka, crispy Brussels sprouts with Aleppo date glaze, baba ghanouj, classic hummus, Rocca beet salad, and the fresh, flavorful fattoush salad. Every dish was colorful, well-seasoned, and perfect for sharing around the table. The drinks kept flowing, and everyone was having a great time. To celebrate the birthday, we finished with an orange olive oil cake and a rich dark chocolate cake with sauce--both were wonderful endings to a fantastic meal. A special shout-out to our server, Ariana, who was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind to everyone at the table. She helped make the evening even more enjoyable. This visit completely changed my opinion of the restaurant. Great food, a beautiful new space, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere made for a memorable evening. What a beautiful transition! We needed that. Thank you for proving me wrong--I will definitely be back!

Very nice menu with more of a Lebanese offering. Ok wine list but only 3 red wines by the glass. We were seated next to a table of 12 girls there for a bachelorette party. Service was very good except when I ordered my main, I asked what options where available instead of rice and was told a few but not that there was an upcharge. Started with a very good Rocca Beet Salad, Arugula with red beet, feta, toasted sumac walnuts with a pomegranate vinaigrette dressing , a little light on the feta. For mains, my wife ordered the Chicken Shish Tauk, chicken breast skewers with pickles and toum garlic whip and served with rice. She really enjoyed it. I opted for Lamb Chops with a cilantro mint pesto. Six chops ordered pink but inconsistent, several medium well, a couple pink, and one almost rough. Chose Charred Mixed Vegetables instead of rice , they were great worth the $5. Great experience great vibe but I felt it was overpriced.

That being said, we discovered that on Saturday nights, they have a belly dancer and the music got pretty loud during the performances, making it difficult to hold a conversation during those times. We ordered the hummus with beef tips and Lebanese cheese rolls as appetizers, both of which were pretty good although nothing to write home about. As entrees we shared a Siro-cca salad and the Sirocco grill for one. This was plenty of food for 2 people. I believe the salad may have been missing the balsamic glaze but didn't realize it until after eating the whole salad - it was still good. The rice was yummy and the steak and chicken skewers were very soft and flavorful. Overall, a very nice restaurant!
