We came in off the beach and ate here. Food came to the table quick for a party if 7. Everyone got something different. Sushi was fresh and delicious. I loved Pier 62! Food was amazing (Crispy Calamari, Hot Shrimp, Poke Bowls) and so were drinks!!! Our drinks were AMAZING- Electric Lemonade & Mango Passion Fruit Daquiri- we each got two! The view was amazing! It's definitely windy at the end of the pier & I was a tiny bit anxious about napkins/straw wrappers falling off into the water, but other than that it was great! Our server was great! Food & drinks came out quickly even though the place was super busy & I am sure she had lots of tables. Will absolutely return next time we are in town! A little busy and crowded at times but a great place to sit back relax with a few cocktails and bites, listen to the ocean and enjoy the breeze. Our waitress (can't remember her name) she was from Denver, was totally amazing, so friendly with a big smile, great conversation and super helpful. Greta drink menu, delicious seafood, we had Calamari, Shrimp Po Boy and a Grouper sandwich all very fresh and full of flavor, one of the best grouper sandwiches I've had. The menu offers a nice selection of items, the food service quality varies. The first night we ordered friend shrimp, and the sashimi appetizers. The dishes were regular ceramic, which would be expected. The second night we returned and ordered the same items, and they were served on dented up aluminum 'trays' instead of plates, (and without any wasabi). It was more like a cafeteria than an upscale place. The garlic pasta salad was just ok, fries were very good. The view is nice IF you can get a window table. Obviously we had to head down to the famous pier during our stay in Cocoa Beach. I was impressed by how elaborate it was, and I knew I wanted to grab some food from Pier 62. I can't resist eating a meal outside on a pier! After perusing the menu for a few minutes, I decided to try the Florida Gator Melt ("A pier exclusive. Local Florida gator tail tenderized, seasoned to perfection and ground into patties. Grilled and topped with your choice of cheese and our chef's house-made dragon sauce") and I got that with the Bent Arm Ale Beer Battered Sidewinder fries. The food arrived a little while later and it's definitely...interesting. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but the burger was far from hot when I received it. I feel like it would've been tastier had it been hot but I enjoyed it anyway. It tasted like a very well-seasoned chicken burger, essentially. The fries were the highlight, since they were hot and crispy. I actually found them pretty addictive. The food isn't as important as the ambiance, though, and Pier 62 sure has that in spades. read more

Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant & Bar, 401 Meade Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931 2.5 Stars From translucent skin due to the maderisation of the Snow Birds to the dazed hangover look, the Cocoa Beach Pier has been a mainstay in Brevard County or over 50 years. Long known as a tourist trap the random name generator forces me to wade into the morass of broken dreams and forgotten vacation promises. Pier 62 boasts "a wholly new concept with a brand-new menu. I must say the inside was spotless and the place did have a "new" feel to it. Zuko is our waiter today--he is perfect for a tourist town. He has the banter, the easy smile and the foresight to keep the tables moving at a quick, but not rushed pace. Zuko is an early entrant into the 2Q best service list, which comes out in one month. Stay tuned! I asked Zuko for one Shrimp Po' Boy with a side of slaw, one Beach Burger and a Kahakai Taco with grouper. Awaiting the return of Zuko with our subsistence, I snapped the obligatory pics of the interior and settled in. It wasn't all that long of a wait before Zuko returned laden with our fare. The Shrimp Po' Boy, a traditional Southern sandwich was not at all tasty. I've said it a million times and I will say it a million more, "Any sandwich begins with the bread." A delicious base is a must for a truly delectable sandwich. This bread was a few days past it's freshness date and had the dry taste of a cardboard box. No wait, that's an insult to cardboard boxes everywhere. The shrimp was incredibly unpleasant. The texture was mushy and the taste fell flat on the palate. Don't even get me started on the flavorless liquid that passes for a Remoulade sauce around here. Steeling my taste buds, I moved on to the Beach Burger. Surprisingly, it was tasty, albeit tiny and very reminiscent of the 80s Wendy ad campaign, "Where's the Beef?" I mean this was all bun, but at least the bun wasn't stale and the burger was adequate. I turned my attention to the last item up for review, the Kahakai Taco with Grouper. Grouper is one of my favorite fish in the sea and is very hard to screw up. I mean, as long as you don't overcook it and turn it into a show tongue, you can't go wrong. I take that back. While the grouper was fine and dandy and all a grouper should be, the tortilla, like the above Po' Boy bread was about a week past it's freshness date. It was monstrously stale. Sadly, the only good item here is the slaw. I doubt it's made fresh in the back, but even food service slaw can be tasty with the proper seasoning. The Big Boy says, "Come and see the historic Cocoa Beach Pier, but if you plan on eating at Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant & Bar, I would suggest you eat before you arrive and maybe enjoy a few cocktails there while taking in the glorious sunset." read more

Tamara was an amazing waiter, she was very nice, attentive, and recommended a variety of entrees. The view and A/C is excellent, and very friendly staff. I ordered the longboard burger and while it was a big burger with 2 patties it tasted like it had no seasoning and the Gouda cheese had no flavor either. To be honest when I first tasted the burger it reminded me of Wendy's but for that quality it shouldn't be $19. The fries were falling apart and wasn't consistently crispy, about 3/30 fries were crispy the rest were soggy and decomposing. The "longboard" sauce was good but needed more flavor. I was told it's a mix of ketchup, mayo, and horseradish could've used more horseradish in my opinion to make the flavor more bold. My family got the fried shrimp and it was delicious being fried to perfection with a nice coat of seasoning if I go back I would get that instead of the longboard burger. read more

I really liked our waiter, however, service seemed to be a little slow. however, the food was good. I asked if the grouper was fresh, and it seemed to be that it was the only fresh fish on the menu. I would definitely suggest the tacos over the sandwich. My sandwich was a bit dry. The cake also seemed to be a little old, and was not as citrusy as I thought it was going to be. I can't recall the name of the drink I had it was beach something...with Tajin on the rim. It was sooooo good. You could barely taste the alcohol in it which is how I like my drinks. Pier 62 has an indoor seating area, but this is my third time sitting outside over the water. I recommend heading inside the restaurant and to the left to the outdoor pier and grabbing a oceanside view. A wonderful menu with high end options of seafood, sushi, burgers, poke bowls and (my favorite) tacos! All fresh and never disappointed. Love love. Will come here on every beach visit. read more

Upon our arrival at Pier 62, we inquired with staff outside about the possibility of moving tables together, and we were informed that it was permissible. However, once we entered, we were told that this was not allowed. When we returned outside, we were again informed that we could not move tables in that area either. Additionally, the manager displayed a passive-aggressive demeanor, which was unprofessional. He made judgmental remarks, telling our foreign friend that he could understand him and dismissively stated that he didn't care it was his birthday, remarking that "everyone has a birthday." Furthermore, he accused our friend of being aggressive towards the front desk staff, despite her being quite rude and rolling her eyes at us. Great place to grab a bite while at the Pier area. A tad pricey for lunch but we had excellent service and we enjoyed the views.

The place has inside dining, patio seating, along the pier seating and an outside bar at the beginning of the pier. I sat at the bar before you go inside. It has a nice ocean view. I sat with locals and those just getting off the cruise ship. The shrimp was well battered but no so much that it didn't overpower the shrimp. It was well dusted with spice. The dipping sauce was sweet but with a kick. The fries were normal seasoned fries but came out hot. The servers offered drink selections and were very warm and smilie. I recommend this place alone for the view but the atmosphere of everyone was a bonus. read more

Situated almost at the end of Cocoa Beach Pier you get such a wonderful view of the beach and ocean. We headed here for Rikki Tiki but it was closed due to incoming weather. Our table was right next to the floor to ceiling windows. We got crispy calamari which was cooked perfectly it came with a house made Thai sweet chili sauce that was so tasty. I would absolutely buy this in a bottle to have at home. I had the Kahakai Tacos with blackened grouper it was good I wish it had a bit more flavor. I added some of the sweet chili sauce to it and it added just enough with the pineapple slaw. My partner got the Florida Gator Melt (a pier exclusive, according to their menu). He said it was really good! We both got sidewinder fries that are beer battered so good. We also got a Florida Orange Cake which tastes like an orange creamsicle. It was really good just very sweet. Be prepared to easily spend $25+ per person. read more
