We stopped here on our way back from the cities because they had a really nice brunch menu. We did make a reservation but it was not needed. It was chilly so we sat inside and the atmosphere did not disappoint. The whole place was done in wood and jewel tones. We all ordered breakfast items. My mom had the French toast and the pieces were thick! It was good. One person had the Belgium waffle and the cream looked homemade. I had the breakfast burrito and it was really good, especially with the poblano salsa. Service was a bit slow but the waitress was good and knowledgeable. I'd come back.

Healthy bowl with grilled shrimp

Have eaten here many times for dine in and take out and both have been delicious! If you take out, there are spaces right in the front where you can pull up, call and they will bring your order out. This is appreciated because even though there is a pay municipal lot next door, it is often full. If you dine in, the patio is AMAZING in the summer and the dining room is cozy in the winter. Food has been consistently good with some highlights being the green bean appetizer, the walleye and the rotisserie chicken. They have gluten free pasta available if you are interested in any of their pasta options, but many items on the menu just either are, or can be made, gluten free. The interior space is accessible to those using mobility equipment, but actually getting in takes a little work. The immediately obvious entrances are all steps, and you need to go around the side to get in without stairs. Would highly recommended dining here!

Ham and Cheddar Omelet

Great breakfast/brunch spot with plenty of seating for small and large groups alike! The ham and cheese omelet was a good portion, but I will say the hash browns were my favorite. They were crispy on the outside, and cheesy on the inside for a nice surprise. You can always make a reservation ahead of time which was what we did, and were seated right away. There is parking on the street, or there was a lot nearby for the local shops nearby. You can also enjoy a nice walk down the pier afterwards as well if the weather is nice.

Chicken Meatball Spaghetti, Pomegranate Mocktail

The Chicken meatball Spaghetti was very good- little bit spicy! And the pomegranate mocktail was amazing but a little sour

We went to Pier 500 for lunch on a Thursday. It's definitely the older crowd at lunch time. Relaxing none the less. We grabbed a table outside with a nice view of the river. I ordered the walleye fish sandwich with fries. My hubby ordered the chicken pot pie and my daughter ordered pasta with green beans (they do have a kids menu). No complaints from anyone. My fish was really good. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. This was a good stop in Hudson!

It's funny I would come here a long time ago just to have drinks with colleagues after work. The sad thing is we never had much to eat so I didn't know what to think when we visited. We were trying to make it there last summer but it was always packed and parking was challenging. However, my fiance and I decided to come earlier in the day and we arrived we were happy that the parking lot was pretty empty and we got a great parking spot. So when we arrived it was pretty slow inside, not a lot of patrons inside. I've always loved how nice it is on the inside, and you can see the rotisserie going full of chickens. Bathrooms are always clean and the restaurant. I do not remember our servers name but she was a younger gal. She was helpful, friendly, and kind. We enjoyed the food, the service, and the environment and we will definitely return.

Sconnie Staple Cheese Curds and salad

Lavender Cosmos Drink: 10/10 I couldn't finish it by myself so I recommend it as a sharable beverage!! I have a high tolerance and it was just the right amount of strong for me I got the mouthwatering cheese curd burger def reco ‍ phenomenal job 9/10 House salad solid 8/10 v good It was so cute to sit outside on the patio and watch the sunset! As for the service it was quite the adventure. I believe a new waitress took our table but that was no problem, we were having a good time even with the few mishaps such as bringing the wrong food to our table 3 times lolll We still had a dandy time

Wood Fired Rotisserie Chicken

We had some great cheese curds and shrimp chowder for appetizers, then I got the rotisserie chicken for my entrée which was juicy and flavorful, although I did get two breast parts. The sides of green beans and mash were just ok. My MIL got a jumbo shrimp special which was tasty but a bit salty and only came with 4 shrimp:( great service and overall tasty dinner.

We had a wonderful celebration for my nieces 10th birthday in the private room at Pier 500. The food and service was alright. The room was great! Looking forward to spending some time this summer on their patio. Also, get their lavender cosmo...you will not be disappointed! Yummmmmmmy!

Shrimp ceviche

Come for the view, stay for the chicken wild rice soup & smoked chicken! The ceviche is fresh and delicious, i'd absolutely order it again. We came on a Sunday, midday. There was plenty of street parking and they had a table for us right away. We sat on the patio where we had an amazing view of the St. Croix river. The server was kind and quick, with a bubbly personality. Although they got our order wrong, they were sure to fix it quickly so that we could enjoy our meal together.

Cajun Chicken Pasta
Tshiab X.

Service was good and the small igloo was cute and clean. But I probably won't go back for the food. Everything that was on the Fillet plate was straight up bland. The only salty part of the food was the asparagus and it was super salty af! For the Cajun Pasta, I did not expect it to be super sweet. Cajun is supposed to have a little spice in it but there was no spice at all, just a very sweet pasta. Kind of ruined it for me. I feel like it wasn't worth it to get food here. The only good food here was the artichoke dip with nachos and cake sadly. Very expensive food and disappointing food.

Pineapple Cheesecake with whipped cream

This was my 3rd time here. Excellent Lobster Bisque. My grilled meatloaf was disappointing. Too spicy (not sure if it was the gravy?). My friend's parmesan-crusted walleye was the better choice. Sides of broccoli (mine) and green beans (hers) were very good. We shared desserts: Deconstructed Banana Cream Pie was just OK. The Pineapple Cheesecake was excellent. Light and flavorful, and the whipped cream on the side was delicious. Love the setting & ambiance. Our waiter Ethan was excellent.

This is the Hudson version of the Freight House. Nothing great, nothing offensive, nice patio for summer drinking.

I was plesantly surprised by the food at Agave Kitchen in downtown Hudson!…read more I visited on a Thursday for lunch and the restaurant was pretty empty. There was a group of 4 of us so we were able to sit wherever we'd like to. Our server was very friendly, prompt, and helpful with our menu questions. We ordered a smattering of items but the most notable; table fries, cowboy corn bites, and the legendary nachos. All other items we ordered (chicken and shrimp tacos and a burger) were all good, just not as notable as the others. Regarding portions, they are HUGE! We should have shared entrees but took home leftovers instead. Overall, I'd recommend trying Agave Kitchen and I look forward to visiting again to try more menu items!

If not fish or shrimp it's shredded meats unless you order an up-charge item. The chips taste really fresh and crunchy with a non-grease taste. A little salt and they were perfect. The queso and salsa are all really good alone, but we mixed ours and it was even better. The shrimp tacos had a little too much of the bacon because it really over powered the shrimp. Once I pulled off some bacon the tacos had a really good flavor and kick. The fish tacos have a fried fillet that tasted really good but needed a little salt. The filling and sauces on the fish tacos were really tasty. I would buy bottles of that green guacamole sauce. Our favorite item of the meal was the chorizo egg rolls. These have a really nice crunchy exterior and a cheesy spicy interior. The chorizo mixed with the cheesy center was so good. I doubt you'll be disappointed if you order these and share them with the table. The service would be my only area of suggested improvement of this establishment. The sign up front says "Please wait to be seated" but then once bartender saw us she told us to "just find a seat and someone will bring menus shortly". Nobody came to our table for 5-6 minutes. The rest of the service wasn't much better. Lot of waiting for help or acknowledgment. Once we were done eating we had to search out our waitress to get our check. We would return to try other items, but maybe be more demanding of service.
