Mr & I came here for our first evening in London. Ordered the 10 course vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairing. The staff was friendly & jovial throughout the evening. Dishes were mostly hits with a few misses & same with the wine pairings Service started out overly attentive but by the end of the meal we were basically ignored Each dish is probably a few bites but they all add up so you won't leave hungry I liked how they offered wines from locations that were not considered "standard" like tasting from Greece that had strong tones of bay leaves Dress code seemed all over the place with diners wearing faded tshirts, jeans & trainers to people wearing tracksuits (yes, really) to people wearing suits and ties so my advice would be to wear what makes you happy & enjoy your night out Total rundown: 3 hours, 2 people 10 courses with 7 pairings £500 total

Pied à Terre serves beautiful -- but overpriced -- bites in a gorgeous space. We came while they were serving a special 30th anniversary set lunch; our favorites were the foie gras / truffle / croissant and cornish turbot with rose harissa. Overall, good food; just not super memorable. Dined: August 20, 2021

I went here for a friend's birthday. We did ten courses and a five courses of wine. I was impressed with the vegan menu. Great presentation of food, which was also very delicious.

Speaking of service, no one can fault Pied a Terre. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, all the servers knew of our dietary requirements, and were conscious to serve my wife and I different food. Even drinks they suggested were customised which I was really impressed. We had the tasting menu, the food was superb and though the portion of each dish were small, the total is certainly more than the sum of parts. Each dish were unique, and flavours were great. While the food I'd say is more 4 stars, the service combined with the overall experience made it a 5. Suitable for a good night out with some close great friends, or a romantic night with the special someone. Could be even better if.... While the whole experience was perfect, my wife was pregnant, they could have been even more careful to swap out the petit four chocolate as it contained some alcohol in it.

my first Michelin restaurant in London and it did not disappoint (this place is also London's longest standing Michelin restaurant). better than most 1 star restaurants in the DC area. the 10 course Greek/French inspired dinner was creative and delicious. staff was amazing as well. highlights were the cauliflower, turbot, egg kayianna, Yorkshire rhubarb, and honey ice cream with honeycomb. also their old fashioned in f'ing delicious.

strawberry "tiramisu" topped with caramel popcorn - part of prix fixe lunch menu in October 2018
John H.

Had prix fixe lunch in October 2018. Food was solid 5/5 stars. Amuse-bouche included mac-and-cheese topped with truffle-oil infused sauce; probably the best use of truffle oil I've experienced. The mains were a beef course and a pork tenderloin. Beef was extremely flavourful and tender, and pork was cooked to perfection. Breads included a marmite bread -- tasty and totally unique. Dessert was strawberry "tiramisu" with caramel-popcorn on top. It was delightful, as was the chocolate that came with the bill. The current menu is a bit Mediterranean-influenced, including oil (instead of butter) coming with the bread, and a small bowl of green olives. The olives were inexplicably removed after I'd only eaten a few, altho the bread was left. I was planning to eat some more of the olives with the bread between main courses. The service began stiffly, tho it warmed up as the meal went on. As compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants where I've eaten, the servers didn't seem perfectly coordinated here. It wasn't just the coordination -- somehow the personalities were slightly discordant. However, the maître d' invited me to see the kitchen at the end of the meal and meet the chef (Asimakis Chaniotis). This made up for the initial stiffness and premature olive removal. The other reason I'm giving 4 versus 5 stars is that the restaurant is extremely cramped. I was seated in the front dining room (the back one is much larger). While well decorated (I loved the cracked glass and subdued wall colors), I felt cramped the whole meal. When I went upstairs to use the loo, that too was incredibly cramped. Overall, was almost claustrophobic, especially as the table cloth went all the way down to the floor and I could feel it over my legs during my meal. Total cost (October 2018) was US$61 for one (including service charge, a bottle of mineral water, and prix fixe lunch), which was an outstanding value. I just wish the setting had been more light / airy / roomy. (If you're a larger party, it's less likely you'd be seated in the tiny front dining room like I was.) FOOD 5/5 SERVICE 4/5 ATMOSPHERE 3/5 VALUE 5/5 TLDR: Top notch food with slightly stiff service presented in a cramped space. Could be better if... service less stiff from the beginning and (front) dining room less crowded.

Me and my girlfriend went to Pied à Terre this evening and I must be honest we are new to this cuisine. It was like eating art lol. We had the 10 tasting menu and was very impressed. The dishes were prepared to perfection. And one thing that surprised me was the size of the dishes. Normally restaurants aren't so generous with there portions. We were absolutely stuffed by our 8th course. Good value for money (if you value food) as it's still a pricey restaurant. Service is top notch

Wow!! I was taken here for my birthday December last year. I think from the moment we stepped in it was clear that we were not the usual clientele. But that only made the servers more wonderful to us. With every course the sommelier came over and spoke to us in terms we would understand explaining the wine to us and not making us feel uncomfortable at all. We had seven amazing courses. Truffle velouté to start. Only one mouthful but bursting with flavour. Then deep fried mussels with a little basil jelly inside. Again bursting with flavour. Then pickled mackerel. Again just lovely, and I do not normally enjoy cold fish. But it was not overwhelming and the accompaniments worked so well. Then beef carpaccio with deep fried sweet breads. YUM!! It had a rich BBQ sauce which brought the whole meal together. Next the Asian inspired seared duck breast. The fat was removed and the skin, crisp as anything, layed directly onto the meat. I could have eaten ten of these. Desert was a lemon posset with passion fruit gel. Perfect after all that we had eaten before. And lastly some sweets. Im not sure what they were but they were just amazing. The dinner was not cheap and it was a once in a life time experience for me. But my gosh was it worth every single penny

I loved it! I went here with my friend for lunch and we both were super excited. The friendliness of the staff, the presentation and the food was just wonderful. As usual in nice places like this you get a lot of extras like freshly baked bread with sea salted butter, amuse bouche and for coffee pralines, cakes... If you dont have a lot of money but a passion for food, then come for lunch. 3 course was 25£ which is a bargain compared to what quality food you will get.

The moment I step in, one of the staff explained the concept of Tibit to me. Items are clearly labelled. Because I was there around breakfast time, I did not get a chance to see the lunch and dinner options. With that said, I really enjoyed the vegan "sausage" roll (1.60 pound). It was flakey on the outside and filled with delicious UFO (unidentified filling option). I commend Tibits for their plant-based ingenuity.

It was clean and roomy, and I liked the overall vibe. 4/5 SELECTION: It's all vegetarian (but they have labels for which are vegan, along with some other allergy notifications) and it's like a hot food bar, where you put whatever you want on a plate and then they weigh it, and you pay per 100g. There are 40 different dishes offered daily, including salads, hot dishes, and desserts. They also have drinks and cocktails. 3/5 WHAT I GOT: From what I remember/can see from my picture, I got white rice, mixed greens, bok choy, a grilled veggies mix, a green beans mix, a potatoes and peas mix and some of an artichoke dish. All of the stuff I got was vegan. It was all pretty good and tasted fresh and of good quality -- in fact, it was probably the best buffet/hot food type bar I've ever been to. None of it tasted like it'd been sitting out for a while, and none of it was undercooked or tasted too processed. The only complaint I have is that I wish they refrained from using oil, but it actually could've been much worse, so that's that. 3/5 SERVICE: The employees seemed friendly. I mean, we didn't really need to interact with them much, given the style of eatery, but they seemed nice lol. 4/5

Came here for pre-theater anniversary dinner with my wife. The ambiance was somewhere between that of a trendy club and nice bar. There was a mad scientist vibe with the lights being industrial vibe and some metal decor. The music was thumpy and loud enough to remind you it was there. It made me feel a bit out-of-place as somebody well past my 20s, but also a bit cool or being there. You really come here for the drinks. We got the pipe dream, smokey old fashioned, honeypot picante, and one other I can't remember the name of, but which came in a flower pot. The pipe dream and smokey old fashioned were likely the best. Overall the drinks were more visually appealing than traditionally good and the visually appealing ones tended to have ingredients that weren't as top shelf and/or they were just too sweet. Not bad, but disappointing for what we'd hope. The food was the opposite. I had low expectations and the food wasn't amazing, but was better than average. We got the bao buns, crispy duck pancakes, panko halloumi, katsu curry, and hot honey pork tacos. They arranged for it all to come out in time for us to make our theater show, which was nice. The bao buns and pork tacos were probably the best. Neither blew me away, but both were solid. The katsu curry and halloumi were standard of what you might expect. The crispy duck pancakes was maybe as advertised, but it would have been nice to have some moistness or substance to the dug vs. it basically being crunchy salty bits of something. Overall, this wasn't a bad meal, but it wasn't quite what I was hoping for either. We may be back, but we'll probably try other things first.
