Simply incredible!!! Booked the reservation when it was a 2-Michelin star and able to short time prior they received their 3rd star. Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Pace of meal10/10 The space 10/10 We dined at lunch and chose the 8-course menu with wine pairing. EXQUISITE experience

Been wanting to come here for a very long time and glad we finally made it. Four of us came for dinner and all of us walked out with big smiles. The evening was exquisite, service on point, friendly and funny staff and food that was exceptionally good and not a single course I did not like. I had told them about our food restrictions before hand and they had individual menus prepared for each person, that alone is worthy of three stars. Their attention to detail is really amazing here. The food started arriving and course after course was amazing flavour, fabulous presentation, and the staff were just great with us in responding to our questions and elaborating as needed. My favourites of the night were the charcuterie that comes from their farm, the Portland crab, the venison from their farm, their home grown mushrooms and the mackerel. The dessert was nice but the pralines that came with the coffee put me on cloud 9 :-) the truffle praline was exquisite to say the least. They even gave me a small bag of those to take home, that's very special. Great but expensive wine list, exceptional service and we never had to ask for anything during the evening and service with a smile. Loved every bit of this place and I would come back in a heartbeat. I was apprehensive considering I had been waiting a long while to get here but, they delivered beyond expectation.

Totally worth the $$$$ Fine dining at its best Dress to impress ladies! We had Jeremy from BBC top gear sitting next to us, made my husbands night Service absolutely warrants 50 best restaurants in the world title. Every single nibble was delicious. Wow, what a night

I am sad to say the food was only average at this Michelin 2 stars restaurant, maybe I set my bar too high. The interior décor was elegantly trendy; lighting was perfect; service was impeccable but the food did not have the "wow" factor. The wine pairing was impressive; matching with the dishes like an old married couple. All dishes were tasty and well executed, but they were not able to "sing" in my mouth. It was a bit disappointing.

Tied with Dinner by Heston Blumenthal as my top Michelin dining experience in London, The Ledbury serves a phenomenal tasting menu. My friends and I were here for over 4 hours and not a single dull minute passed by. Time seemed to fly as we savored every single bite of every single course. Yes, the food was that good. This restaurant will forever hold a dear place in my heart. // Seaweed Bread Cracker with Smoked Mussel and Apple Jellies* // Guinea Fowl Puffs with Honey Mint Jelly* // Muntjac Deep Dumpling with Mustard Fruit* // Chantilly of Oyster - Tartare of Sea Bream and Frozen English Wasabi // Porridge Sourdough, Butter with Whipped Goat's Whey, Sprayed with Molasses* // White Beetroot - Baked in Clay, Caviar Salt and Smoked Eel // Warm Pheasant Egg - Celeriac, Arbois, Dried Ham and Truffle // Steamed Cod - Asparagus, Anchovy and Basil // Hen of the Woods - Potato Emulsion and Rosemary // Berkshire Roe Buck - Smoked Bone Marrow, Cherries, Red Leaves and Vegetables // Passionfruit Curd - Château d'Yquem and Olive Oil // Chocolate - Dark Chocolate Chantilly and Mint // Juniper and Caramel with Chocolate and Eucalyptus* // Cheese (Optional Course - £12 Supplement) // Guinness Ice Cream* * = off-menu

They say that lunch is the inferior meal of fine dining. They are wrong. There is nothing inferior at The Ledbury - lunch is incredible. I often enjoy the amuse bouches even more than the apps, and this time it's true. Which is really saying something considering the quality of the apps. There's a dollop of smoked mussel cream on a nori crisp. The nori is light, and the smoky cream has such a silky texture. There's a Guinea Fowl Pate Puff, like a cream puff with meat, and a succulent crab paste with the sweetest tiniest shrimp. Fresh Hazelnuts are a lighter starter - nuts and summer fruit are always a winning combination. The Veal Tartare is so...raw. Gamey but delicate, undeniably delicious. IT come with a hunk of bread topped with beef fat which is basically just butter meaty goodness. The Native Lobster is one of the most beautiful dishes I've ever seen. I love the layers of shiitake on top, and the lobster itself is so tender. The Belted Galloway Beef is a risk because it's for two. The filet is absolute perfection, and just when you think it can't get better, they add a silver-dollar of bone marrow. The short rib is melt-in-your-mouth. I never knew short rib could be so good. Next, a Passion Fruit Mousse palate-cleaner and some fried donuts. Then the real dessert, work-of-art Raspberry Tart with so much amazing sorbet and a Brown Sugar Tart with a fantastic ginger ice cream. Post-dessert, they have Juniper Caramel Sticks that make you feel less grossly full and of course, chocolate truffles. If this is lunch, I MUST return for dinner. The Ledbury is among the best meals I've had in London, and it ranks among my top ten ever. I've had plenty of fine dining all around the world, but The Ledbury is in a league of its own!

This being one of the top restaurants in the world, we had to try it and it def did not disappoint. It is exactly what you come to expect with the Michelin rated restaurant - white glove service, extremely well though out curated food, the best of the best, and with stunningly simple Decor and atmosphere. Prior to our arrival, when we made reservations we told them about our dietary restrictions and allergies which this restaurant curated to perfection. There was fresh baked gluten-free bread and entire four course vegan meal including but not limited to a vegan gluten-free ice cream and chocolate mousse which was one of the best hands down that I've had to date, around the world. Each plate was so uniquely different than the rest and even my husband opted to do the vegan meal because of the amazing descriptions listed on the menu. It seemed so enticing and appetizing that this was just the way to go. For a carnivore to enjoy a vegan meal, it takes a lot and this place did not disappoint. It did just that. If you are in the London area, this restaurant is not to be missed. One of the most amazing Michelin rated meals I've had and I highly recommend to anyone with any kind of dietary restriction to try this place. It was truly a magnificent birthday and they made this meal such a special meal and made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant even though every table in the restaurant was full.

Ever eaten in a two-star Michelin restaurant in Los Angeles? What about in London? This was my chance to compare...Providence vs. Ledbury. One thing about the Ledbury is that it's tucked away in a residential area in Notting Hill. The other is that it's smart casual, so not many suits here...mostly locals. Once the Chinese arrive with cameras it'll be over...oh, that's us! :) Pics: http://bit.ly/15e8G5u The decor is a relaxed, but curated vintage look: velvet embossed black drapes, chairs with muted, but unmatching textile designs, plates that change with the courses. A real sensory experience. Pics: http://bit.ly/131UocV We chose the set menu $150/pp without wine. http://bit.ly/Yi7zBL #1 Amuse bouche. Pics: http://bit.ly/XPDD2I http://bit.ly/115Vsv6 #2 #2 Chantilly of oysters with oyster tartare, cucumber and radish. Pics: http://bit.ly/131UvFn #3 Flame-grilled mackerel, melon radish, celeric mustard and shiso. Pics: http://bit.ly/141F6UQ #4 "Risotto" celeriac, new potato, smoked eel and parsley. Pics: http://bit.ly/110HNBy #5 Fillet seabass, brocolli stem, crab and black quinoa. Pics: http://bit.ly/131TMUE #6 Jowl of pork, walnut, apple and black pudding. Pics: http://bit.ly/103UdtG #7 Saddle of roe deer, red vegetables leaves, rhubarb and bone marrow.Pics: http://bit.ly/1450nNI #8 Pre-dessert. Pics: http://bit.ly/YAx0KV #9 #9 Brown sugar tart with poached grapes and ginger stem ice-cream. Pics: http://bit.ly/ZjnoYh Post-dessert. Pics: http://bit.ly/15e8Bis So what was my conclusion? Ledbury was pricier than Providence due to it being in London, but it was worth every penny. The dining experience was more relaxed than at Providence, yet there was no lack of dining experience and excitement to see what the next dish had in store for my tastebuds. I'd come back here. But, not so much for Providence.

What an amazing place! Came here for the set lunch menu and also for a friend's birthday. Had such an amazing time. Four courses with matching wine for £140 per person. Definitely worth it. Greatly presented and also yummy food. Awesome ambience and service, what else could one ask for! The restaurant also had a signed birthday card for my friend. Also went out of the way and had a personalised dessert for her to wish her a happy birthday. Book way in advance and have a great time!

Coming here, we had the highest expectations for the food, and that might've been its downfall. We ordered 8 courses and got 3 complimentary appetizers before our meal. These were delicious. One tasted a little like fancy pork rinds, one had a strong citrus flavor with a crunchiness of the chip, and one tasted like a she-crab soup. Next we had an oyster topped with a creamy sauce. The creaminess really went well with the freshness of the oyster, but I wish the oyster wasn't cut up to where it's hard to taste the texture of the whole thing. I'd prefer it whole where you can really taste the oyster. Next we got the salad and I felt like it was only alright. The artichoke was cooked well, but I felt like all the ingredients didn't go well with each other. Separately they were good, but together it just didn't taste like 1 complete dish. The egg dish was probably one of my favorite ones. The egg went extremely well with the crispy dried ham. Imagine a breakfast, but fancier and you get this dish. Very relatable and very delicious. The squid with the broth was a little one noted for me. It was just richness with more richness. I felt like this dish would've been better if there was something to contrast that, like lime leaves. Despite this, the squid was really tender and you barely had to chew, which I enjoyed. I felt like the hen of the woods fell victim to the same problem. One noted and very rich. Regardless, the mushrooms had a great taste. It's like eating a piece of beef, but it's actually a mushroom. Really interesting concept here. One of my other favorite dishes is the pigeon. It was cooked perfectly and the best part was the thigh. It was cooked a little differently and I wish the whole thing was cooked this way. The seasoning is just so much tastier for the thigh in my opinion. Last were the desserts. The meringue was the perfect amount of sweetness to tartness, coupled with the cold sorbet in the center made for a really good dish. The pumpkin dessert was also delicious. The best part is the caramel, which they made tart, so it cuts right through the richness of the pumpkin tart. I didn't really like the dandelion part of the dish though so that could've been left off. It threw me off by tasting a little like mashed potatoes. For me, food overall was 3.5/5. The service here is literally the best I've ever had. They immediately refilled drinks, took away plates, replaced silverware, gathered the crumbs, refilled our napkins, and explained the courses... We felt like royalty for the duration of the meal from how great the service was. Even the smallest details were taken into account, and I wouldn't expect any less. 9000/5 for service. After having this, I felt like the food was a little underwhelming, but maybe our expectations were just too high. Not saying the food was bad because it was delicious. We just felt like the price wasn't justified if we weren't blown away by at least 1 or 2 dishes.

First,…read morethere are only 14 seats (not to be redundant or anything; it's just that small), which means it books out weeks in advance for a weeknight table and months ahead for a weekend spot. Next, the eponymous place is headed by Marianne Lumb, a MasterChef finalist in 2009, and her merry band of restaurant ninjas: a sous, a dishwasher, and a front-of-house consisting of two whole people, who are always a delight. That's it. Other things you should know: - The space was obviously someone's front parlor until recently, which makes it amazingly cozy. - Prices are beyond reasonable (3 courses at £48, with cheese it's £60) and menus change weekly and seasonally. - The wine list is substantial. - There is a waiting list for neighborhood locals. They use it to fill out late cancellations. I've gotten the nod twice in about four months. - The truffle brie is divine. Ask for some honey and oatcakes to accompany it. All things considered, it's one of the best new restaurants in London. If I had written this after the first time I went in December, I would've said it was the best new opening of the year. However, having been twice since then, the dishes have waned a bit, but this could be attributed to the lack of variety this time of year. Hopefully it picks up again in the coming weeks. Last, I waited a few months to post this review, because I haven't wanted any additional competition. But since we're upping sticks and heading down south before long, I'll just say: have at it, kids! It's a great local spot, and Marianne and her team deserve all the support they can get.

It's…read morequirky and cosy; the food is good, the service is friendly; and the bill will make your jaw drop - but in a good way. I was taken there recently by a friend who lives nearby. The exterior doesn't prepare you for what you find inside - not that much could. What you find is an intimate space, decorated in dark reds with baroque panels, rather like the sort of small 18th century opera house you might find in Prague or Salzburg. There are even little balcony "boxes" with tables accessed by vertiginous stairs (NB not good for long legged or tall people). The food is a mixture of French and modern European. There are vegetarian starters and mains, but the menu is heavy on throroughly meaty dishes, such as char-grill Lamb Steak, with crushed new potatoes, julienne vegetables and green peppercorn sauce, or chicken breast stuffed with minted minced lamb, herbal mash and Port wine sauce. I had the grilled Portobello mushroom, prepared with garlic and served with spinach and a roast pepper sauce; followed by roast aubergine strudel, stuffed with grilled asparagus and ricotta cheese, served with French beans and a tomato and basil sauce. Service was very pleasant throughout and I like the fact that they don't charge for a basket of bread. The prices vary depending on whether you book before or after 7pm; you'll save a pound on the starter and a couple of pounds on the main course if you go before. We had a very decent French vin de pays as the house wine. Pleasanter still was the bill - £55 (including service) for three people each having two courses, after 7pm. I'll definitely go back - or maybe try one of their other branches...
