Line was short so I gave it a try. I ordered the high five: ham, pepperoni, sausage, marinara, mozzarella and cheddar with thin crisp crust. I don't know about all of you but when I order thin crisp crust my thoughts go to being able to fold the slice in half and hearing a snap of crust but not having it crumble to pieces. On this one the edges were crisp but that was it, although crust was cooked all the way through. Breakfast calzone tasted okay but was not hot, and in fact was completely cold in the center. Despite there being at least six people behind the counter, no one acknowledged me until I reached the register where they asked if I had already ordered and gestured back to the "order here" area. I said that no one had made eye contact, so I came down thinking that part wasn't open? Or. . . .? In any case, I watched the next group experience the same thing - standing around saying "excuse me" trying to get someone to look at them for a few minutes before someone finally answered them and took their order. Line moved quickly and I liked being able to choose toppings and ask for heavy on the sauce. I liked that the wait wasn't long and the guy seemed to know it was my pie (not too busy at 830pm). I didn't like the value ($13 for a pie before tax...other airports with similar sized pies are less). What I liked least was that my pie was undercooked. The crust was not crispy, the cheese just at that point where it had melted, but not yet fully or bubbly. I didn't like the huge pepperoni slices that pulled off the slice when bitten into, so half the pizza came off when I tried to bite into it because of the huge round slice of pepperoni. It wasn't a bad tasting pizza, and when I got it to my hotel room to finish it off, and heated it up in the microwave, it was even better than when I bought it. For this, they got a second star. Major regrets eating here. Ordered a pretty simple pizza with 3 toppings and it came out way undercooked. The cheese way barely melted and the meats didn't look any different than how they went in. At least the crust was mostly cooked. Would have gotten more toppings but many of them had other ingredients mixed in cross contaminated and were really messy so skipped them. If you've been to Blaze Pizza before, this is a similar concept but not executed as well. Pizzas are customized, on terms of toppings, sauce and crust. I got the classic pan because I was mad hungry, but I felt it came out undercooked, especially with the amount of toppings I put on. This is because the pizza just automatically passes through the machine and the staff just boxes it. Also the kid who put my toppings on was rude. Which is totally the opposite of every other friendly person I've come across on the island so far At Blaze, the pie goes into a fire oven and the staff constantly check the status before pulling it out of the oven, so it always comes out with crispy crust. read more

The crust was flavorless and undercooked, the sauce was straight out of a can with no spices, and the mozzarella was like eating chalk. Had a thin crust pepperoni pizza for 10.99. The crust was very bland and the pizza was under cooked. There were very few pepperonis on the pie and because it was undercooked the pepperonis were just okay. There was too much cheese for a thin crust as well. My wife had a traditional crust high-five which oddly was generous on the toppings but also undercooked and suffering from the same level of mediocrity. I will likely not dine here again as there are many options at the airport and this is not a good one. Disappointing as it's not hard to make a decent pizza. read more

Visited Pie Five straight off of a 6+ hour flight and I was absolutely fAmisHeD. Though it is relatively expensive for a person pan pizza (~$15 if I remember correctly), the service was fast and it hit the spot. The pizza tasted great and overall, I enjoyed my experience. There are definitely better places to eat in the airport but if you're running low on time or specifically craving pizza, Pie Five isn't as bad as these other reviews say they are. If you're worried about the pizza falling apart because you like a lot of toppings, here's a suggestion: don't order the "crispy artisan thin" crust. If your crust is too thin, no matter what you put on top of your pizza, that thin crust will always be too weak to hold anything. Some people, man! read more

Purchased a digital gift card for my son, which website says they are accepted at all locations. When he tried to redeem the card at SFO, he was told they don't take them! We don't live near another Pie Five location and wasted 25 bucks! Have tried to contact Pie Five via their website, and have not received a call back! Buyer beware! Their Italian sandwich was this: A long piece of white bread (looks like pizza dough), inside which is butcher PAPER with a couple cold cuts inside and raw onions. Who puts paper inside a sandwich?? I took a bite before realizing there's paper inside and asked them WTH was this to which they replied that ALL of their cold sandwiches have paper in them. Hungry at the airport and was craving pizza. There's a build your own option which was neat. I wanted something like a bbq chicken pizza so I got thin crust and bbq sauce. Added on chicken, bacon and ham and a variety of veggies. They were skimpy on toppings so I had to repeatedly ask for more for nearly all the toppings. Overall it was a quick process - It baked for about 5 minutes and the crust was nice and crispy and cheese gooey. It was a decent personal sized pizza that I finished in a sitting.
