The drink was great. I hope they offer better tequila options when I return. We started with the Bao Sliders. I was pleasantly surprised. They were well seasoned and flavorful. It's a descent portion, I was full and did not order additional dishes. I shared the Cajun Salmon Salad which is also a very generous portion. The salmon was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I hope to be back and try other items on their menu. It looks like they offer fun events through out the week. It would be fun to try them as well.

Perfectly greasy, and the caramlized onions and spinach really elevated it. Another person in our group had the turkey on a pretzel bun and said it was amazing. Also, a great range of drink options. I couldn't make out the beers on tap so I asked the sad sack behind the bar (he didn't welcome me when I sat down) about the beers. He read off the names of the three (of six) I could see so I ordered one. The other three will forever by a mystery. He pours me a 12 oz. "Cold Time" (produced by local brewery Revolution) in a standard (read "dull") mug and places it in front of me. Then he hands me a menu and tells me it's happy hour for 45 more minutes. I ask if the beer he just poured me is the "rotating draft of the month" -- on the happy hour menu for $5. "No," he says (without explanation). So what I want to know is should I have a) just walked out right then and there, b) told him I wanted to change my order, or c) introduced him to the idea that maybe (just maybe) he might have told me about the happy hour special as soon as I sat down like a normal bartender (I bartended through my 20s).

You don't get to choose a size but the pizza can accommodate at least 3-4 people. I opted for delivery and the pizza arrived in great shape. The pizza looked nice but it was extremely dry and lacked flavor. I've had Detroit style pizza in Detroit many times and this wasn't it. The pizza can be best described as a breadstick with meat sprinkled on top. I tried to eat the leftovers the next day and ended up throwing out the rest of the pizza. It's rare for me not to finish pizza so Union Squared in Evanston is a giant no.

Blind Faith Cafe was easy to find and there was plenty of (paid) street parking available. We stopped by on a Saturday around 1pm without a reservation and we were able to be seated without wait in a booth. Service was kind but it was very clear they were busy. This was definitely a casual dining experience and we were not rushed through our meal. Inside this feels like a traditional more-than-a-diner but feels cozy like a local restaurant on a tv set where your favorite characters regular. I chose the chilaquiles, which came highly raved about by my friend who recommended Blind Faith. The eggs come any way you want, I chose over easy, they also let you choose between a tomatillo salsa verde or tomato ranchero salsa, I chose the salsa verde which was tangy with a kick but not spicy, just very flavorful. Both were described as relatively mild/not spicy to me by the staff. My best friend ordered the Vegan Mexican Breakfast with vegan cheese and my partner had the Huevos Rancheros, also choosing eggs over easy. Food came out pretty quick and looked delicious. Most notably everything was vibrant and looked so fresh. The serving sizes are large and were plenty for each of us. Prices are comparable to other brunch spots around the city and the quality was great. Blind Faith cafe was delicious and a good experience.
