How about updating your hours so that people don't drive all the way here for a pickle sandwich?

I had the downtown chicken sandwich (half) it was excellent. The service was friendly and I will definitely be going back!

Great sandwich's they were out of the pickle sandwich option so that was a bummer but we tried the original cheese steak and the pepper steak. We preferred the paper steak but both were good. Our first time and we enjoyed it very much! Friendly and fast service and we sat outside which was nice.

Yummy good sandwiches. The service is very quick as well which I didn't expect since the building is so small. Got the mushroom steak sandwich which was very good. My wife had the beachcomber and she was very happy with her meal as well. We will definitely be back!!!

A Bozeman staple since 1974! You've just gotta try it. Our son loves the tuna sandwich on bread, my Big Strong Handsome loves the cheese steak on bead, and love... well, pretty much all of their concoctions served on a pickle. So good! So unique. So cool. You've just gotta try it.

Been eating Pickle Barrel since I was a kid and it was always a 2 meal or more sandwich because it was fully loaded......... those were the good old days. Got my order today of half a cheesesteak (the best of the hot sandwiches) and there in the wrapper sat a sad loaf of bread barely filled with meat. I literally had a moment of woah this Jimmy Johns sandwich is small.... but wait it was not Jimmy Johns, and it was not full of meat. Perhaps had I not know the glory of eating a cheesesteak that would not have the bread wrap around the excessive delicous filling I would not be disappointed. But here I sit. Eating this sandwich with merely one hand, as it does not take the cradling two hands to keep the precious saucy contents from bursting forth. No I eat it with one hand on the sandwich and one with a tissue pressed to my eye to stop the tears from adding salt to this travesty. As I taste the familiar delicious flavors, I find myself trying harder to enjoy each miniscule morsel, knowing there is only enough meaty filling in it to satisfy a cheating vegan. I pray the times shall change and with them bring back the joy of an overstuffed sandwich I once took for granted.

We had the FRITES & FONDUE for an appetizer, fries were great, the Parmesan was a nice touch and the fondue didn't have a lot of flavor. We both loved the our entrees, as we continued our meal seeing all the other entrees going to tables we are excited to come back to try the vast options on the menu. The cheesecake was delicious & fresh we truly appreciate the quality & taste of desserts being made in house- you can tell the difference & it is absolutely worth it. We started with the beet and burrata salad, which was full of yummy complimenting flavors and fun textures. I think it could have done without the yellow peppers but I just ate around those. The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch. For beverages I had a local pale ale from Bridger brewing that was crisp and went well with the meal, and my partner tried the rotations shrub (peach), which she said was just okay. The star of the show was the arrabiata pasta made with vodka sauce and Calabrian chilis. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and was well sauced, truly delicious. The ambiance is nice, and the service was fine. They checked on us frequently but not entirely friendly, maybe our waitress was having a bad day. The meal was a little on the pricier side but I felt the happy hour prices were fair. We would return when visiting Bozeman.

Several tables, elevated booths and an elaborate bar setup with a warm and very hustling staff. Hospitality is off-the-chart here and the Main St location is straight out of a cool mountain town set. We ordered the avocado toast and a simple plate of biscuits / sausage gravy. The avacado toast was stacked tall with guacamole, bacon, roasted grape tomatoes and an over easy egg. This was good but trying to eat it was a challenge due to size and ingredients. There was a small side green salad. The biscuit and sausage gravy was also stacked. You definitely get good value here as is evident with the families surrounding us. The gravy was almost overflowing the plate with a good uncious taste. The biscuit was dense, a bit dry and was just ok. The gravy was a home run. Jam is a great family breakfast option with the food almost over-flowing the plates. We ordered basic dishes from the appetizer menu and enjoyed them but not overwhelmed with taste. Even though I found it good, not great, I would encourage you to come here with a hearty appetite, and give them a try. NO ONE here is eating with a frown on their face and joint is jumping. JAM, I'll see you again on my next trip to a picturesque town on Bozeman, MT.

We discovered Mavens Market because we were in search of brunch and the favorable reviews on Yelp brought us here. The four of us each ordered their own breakfast item. * Eggs & Ham $13 * Greek Goddess $13 * Avocado & Tomato Toast $13 x 2 First off, the bread they use for the sandwiches is so good and they do a superb job getting such a great toast on it. I tried both the Eggs & Ham and the Greek Goddess and they were both very tasty. (Each of my kids had their own Avocado & Tomato Toast, and they were not sharing nor did they have any leftovers.) It does take a little while for the sandwiches to be made, so don't come here if you're in a rush. (They also have a steady line up of orders coming in for pick up, so just be aware.) The great thing it that it gives you a chance to check out their cheese shop. We actually returned a few hours later to grab some lunch and got a couple of different sandwiches this time. *The Full Maven $13 *Grilled Mozzarella Panini $13 Again, both sandwiches were really good and traveled well. I actually saved half and reheated it on the pan the next day. It was still very good. The cheese shop next door is adorable. I love wandering through shops like these and would probably visit often if I lived in town. Since we were flying out in a few hours, I had to resist purchasing anything since we only brought carry-ons. I was very tempted though! But you can easily find anything and everything you would want for a charcuterie board, night out, picnic, etc. I could have easily filled a whole basket of yumminess to enjoy.

Our food was delicious I really enjoyed the turkey bacon club- wouldn't change anything. My husband had the muffetta & enjoyed the flavor the only comment he had was that it was very oily and could have used a little less, even eating it with the wrapper on, oil leaked out onto his jeans. Overall we enjoyed our experience & would love to come back, their donuts looked delicious as well! The only thing we noticed is the flow of the restaurant could be improved so it's not so chaotic, people don't really know where to go - it seems like the ordering spot should be at the other end rather than having people cut across the restaurant and tables where people are eating & they don't know where to line up- like I said it was very crowded but we will be back the food is great- just wish the flow of the place was more organized for a better experience.

Well, that didn't last long because I finally got my hands on them and they're so good! There are a few donut places in town but this sure stands out. Fried in beef tallow, these donuts fill your craving for a guilty pleasure without giving you that almost regrettable feeling after you eat them. They offer a nice variety of flavors but my stand outs have to be the original glazed, Nutella, and huckleberry. I thought I would really love the creme brulee but the cream inside had a strange sour tang to it that my palette did not enjoy. If you don't have a sweet tooth, Lone Peak Provisions also serves up very tasty smashburgers and beef tallow fries! A very reliable lunch spot for sure.
