I ordered entree size portions and I received a small "combo plate". Im not sure if this is how Pick Up Stix offers their dinner size entrees now. They are much smaller than before. The few pieces we did try to eat were hard. Chow mein is usually the best, but it had no flavor today. What happened to this place? No longer using the traditional Chinese takeout cartons, now all in a container and way less food and sauce. We love pick up stix, we had yet to visit this location however it's closer to where we live so we gave them a shot. It's Covid so we took the order home, we do not expect the food to look amazing since we are picking up. We were there on time, grabbed our order and headed home. First out egg rolls were not included, okay no worries it happens. But then we open our general orange chicken (pictured). Appearance is not appetizing, we proceeded to give it a try. It was burnt yet soggy, tasted old like made days prior and was basically inedible. When a meal is almost $30 you expect to be able to enjoy it and maybe get all your items. OMG I love this establishment! My friend spilt his drink and blamed it on me but they helped pick it up AND THEY COMPLIMENTED HIS SHOES! Food came out in a lickety split! Orange Chicken was crunchy and orangy! Music was lit and lights were cool. My favorite part of the meal was the fortune cookie which told me I was fertile and full of life! THATS PRETTY LIFE CHANGING! However I got hit by a car as I was walking out of the establishment. 5 STARS read more

They are getting 2 stars instead of 1 only because the staff was professional. This place's food has taken a huge nose dive,not only in quantity, but also taste. Years ago their servings were enough for 2 people. Now 1 person could not be satisfied at all with the total amount of beef In 1 full order. The menu indicates each order serves 2. ( Maybe 2 ants.) I expected a box jammed full of Mongolian beef Like bought years ago. What i received was a miniscule serving of some soaked in sauce clumps that Tasted and haD the consistency of old truck tires. Wasnt enough to satisfy 1 person. So if the 2nd person expects something from the order, I hope all he Wants is rice. I used to come here frequently years ago, but after this I will not be back. So I went in today during my lunch break to get food for my uncle and myself, got there at 11:30, the time they open. So I assumed it might be a little longer wait no issue. When i order, a young lady, whose name I didn't get was at the register, and i started my order. She seemed to not really want to take my order by her attitude, Rolling her eyes. My total was $41 and some change, the previous week i had gone in & ordered the same thing but paid $27 & some change(different cashier) . The only difference with today's order was an extra chicken egg roll. I didn't notice the up charge until i had seen last week's receipt. The customer after me was also a hispanic male & construction work just like me & the cashier also gave him attitude. Then, came in a white male firefighter and the cashier totally changed attitude, addressed him by sir the whole time, didn't roll her eyes when he changed his order & even asked him if he wanted a cup of water while he waited. I have respect for all the frontline workers, especially now with covid and with the wild fires, but everyone deserves respect no matter what occupation someone has. Last week's employee treated me like a proper customer, today I felt degraded. This will the last time i go to this location, I'd rather drive the extra two miles to the location on Alicia pkwy & Pacific park. read more

A perfect dinner for a guy that doesn't cook! I also downloaded their app which gets me a bunch for 'freebies' throughout the year, and every December I order a $200 giftcard for myself (and get another $50 in free food!). I ordered a beef dish with fried rice and cheese wontons for about $18 dollars. I live 5 minutes away so I can expect my food should at least be warm. When I arrived home, all my food was so cold, I mean no heat could be detected even in the middle. Also, my order was prepared just for me. So, I should be able to feel my food was freshly prepared but it wasn't. The beef meat was tough and tasted like leftovers. The rice didn't taste freshly prepared and they added too much sauce. The wontons were crisp but were ice cold also. I used to go there and was happy with the food but that's the case no longer. Probably I won't go back for more leftover tasting food. read more

Not sure why this place has such a low star rating as I've never had a bad experience. 99% of the time I'm ordering takeout and they've always had my order ready & on time. The place appears to be clean and the food is decent. You're not getting gourmet but you're also not getting panda express. It's just a great quick middle of the week lunch or dinner spot when you don't feel like cooking. The only thing preventing me from giving this place a five star rating is that my food containers don't ever really seem full. There's always room in the container and I wonder why they never fill it all the way. Cost savings? Pick Up Stix isn't my favorite Chinese by any stretch, but it's a decent alternative when you're craving a lot of sodium made relatively fresh in a quick amount of time. I've had plenty of issues with this location...wrong order, longer than normal wait, etc. but I've had an equal amount of good experiences too...friendly and speedy service. I know going in it's a toss up and enjoy my food when it's right. My favorite choices are veggie pad thai and firecracker tofu. read more

I literally never write negative reviews, or reviews at all but this was necessary. I have eaten pick up six at several locations throughout the years and this location seems to always produce the worst tasting food. Too oily was my number one complaint. Me and the other person who ate there yesterday both ended up with stomach issues afterwards. The bourbon chicken used to be nicely cut up in normal bite sized strips you could just pick the food out of the takeout box and now they are these huge disproportionate pieces that you have to cut with a knife inside the little takeout box. I just think there is some attention to detail needed and maybe care more about customers? No need for all the oil. Makes you question what other things they're careless about.... Edit: I just checked the reviews underneath and a lot of them say there's an oily/ greasy food issue, please listen to your customers... read more

Terrible customer service. Yennifer should 100% not deal with your customers as she has zero customer service skills. I had just spent $50 on an online pick up order and while ordering my kids food it did not give an option for another beverage other than a fountain drink. I have a 20 month old daughter who does not drink fountain drinks. When I arrived I saw there was Motts apple juice cartons. I asked to switch the drink and the young man working was friendly and began to assist me, when Yennifer overheard and felt the need to insert herself in the conversation from across the kitchen area. She yelled across that it is a $1 upcharge. Just out of principle it seemed ridiculous that she needed to get involved and tell while othere customers were present. After spending $50 it felt really petty that she felt it necessary to insert herself with her terrible attitude. I NEVER write reviews let alone negative ones, but she is just awful and has definitely changed my mind about ever going back there. You should really look into the way your PAYING customers are being treated. Yennifer, if you don't like your job....get a new one, but stay FAR away from customer service! And by they way...I have ZERO issues paying an upcharge. But the attitude and how it was handled was so poor. read more

This is not my usual go to location, although it was close at the time. Food is always good, I've never had an issue with that, and restaurant was pretty clean. Although good god the workers were so loud and obnoxious! I understand they're probably trying to get through the last hour to close, but really? Screaming back and forth to each other, singing (really loudly), and they were playing music loudly through their phones. It was mainly just the short girl with brown hair.
