I'm from out of town and needed some food to take back to my hotel room nearby. I saw this place and decided to give it a try. I got chicken rice soup and gyro. It was reasonably priced. This place is not only delicious but filled with employees ready and willing to help your indecisive butt pick out an awesome meal! The recommendation I received turned out delicious and my husbands Gyro was also heavenly, I cant imagine you could pick something bad off of this menu. My daughter and I got pita pockets to go at Pick Pockets while we were staying in Groton. I got the Vegan Wrap and she got the Works. These were two of the best sandwiches either of us have ever had. Hers had falafel in it, but though I like falafel, I didn't want it in my sandwich that day, but they gave me one to taste. It too was the best falafel I have ever had. It was moist and delicious. They also had dynamite pita chips to go with the sandwich. And the person at the counter was super friendly, patient, and helpful. You should definitely go there. read more

This little place is gem! We have been here multiple times for lunch and dinner and the food is always the best. The portion sizes are extremely generous (two adults can easily share one of their wraps). The gyro kabob is one of my personal favorites. read more

My first experience was fabulous the food is delicious and the girl literally walked me through the menu. Now my latest visits...yes I said visits not so great. I call and even before I can tell her my order she says "we close in 15mins". So that to me is a warning that they 1- don't want my business nor need my business 2-that they clearly don't care about wanting customers to come back. So I still placed my order; although she made it very clear that I need to be there by 9pm sharp. So after that you would think I wouldn't want to go back... but the food is really is great. So I call again last night looking to place a take out order at 8:40pm and was told that the eggplant takes time to cook and that they close their doors at exactly 9pm. So I asked "are you saying I shouldn't order it then?" Her reply "well you can but we close at exactly 9pm. So therefore they did not get my business last night. I really hope the owner reads this review and makes necessary changes. I'm in the business and have always gone with the motto your 8:45 customer should get the same service as your 5:00 customer. read more

If you haven't been here you are sleeping on this place. The only place around here I know that has falafels as good as new haven. The customer service was awesome and super helpful since it was my first time in. The place is roomy, clean and you can tel they only use the freshest ingredients. Also got the garden salad with chicken and the chicken was well flavored and super tender. This place deserves more than 5 stars. Will definitely be coming back. read more

I've been to Pick Pockets probably a dozen or so times since they opened. I loved their wraps the first few times I had them, but then I noticed the consistency was never there. Sometimes they'd be great and other times? Meh....then I discovered the jumbo plate. I liked to get it with eggplant. I order a side of falafels. Well I have recently realized the consistency issues apparently go that way as well. I ordered this today. My falafels are overcooked, crumbly and dry. Instead of the tahini sauce they have come with in the past? I received humus. But what really turned me off about this meal - hands down? The toubeleh...which is brown in some areas. It looks like instead of serving fresh, I received old toubeleh. It looks and smells unappealing. I hope you get your consistency issues fixed, but I certainly will not be back for a while...and I know others have made the same comment to me. I just thought I'd give it one more chance. read more

Spent my morning trying to decide between panera and moes for lunch, and ended up in here instead for my first time ever. Was greeted by all 3 of the girls behind the counter, however, felt a little rushed to get down to the cash register once i ordered. What if i had questions about add ons? Whats the deal with the tortolinis? There wasnt anyone behind me... I brought my purchase and the menu back to my office. I wish i had known how messy my wrap would be once i attempted to eat it. I almost wished i had a bowl to just mix it all up in. But i managed. The chicken in my buffalo wrap was seriously some of the best around. Not the "strips" crap you get at subway. But not a patty either. Nice chunks of juicy, well prepared chicken And the peanut butter cookies are to die for; nice and gooey. Stopped in this afternoon for lunch. Being a first timer, I asked the girl at the counter how to order and she was very attentive. Everything can be either a salad or a wrap. I got a chicken falafel wrap. It was good, but I think I want to try something else next time like the chicken mozzarella or chicken gryo. They were very fast and it was just over $10 for a wrap, chips, and a drink. Will definitely be back. read more

Omg!!! Delicious! I grew up in an Arabic family with a grandmother who was a wonderful cook and made so many delicious Arabic delights. I am really picky about Arabic food and Pick Pickets makes REAL Arabic food! The hummus, falafel and fatoosh are excellent but the tabouleh is out of this world!!! It is real tabouleh, just like the old sittou's use to make. The owner makes everything fresh and it shows!! Worth the trip! read more

Went on Saturday 12/22/18 around 1pm. Im a regular customer and there's one thing that keeps bothering me every time I go in. How mean the manager is to the staff. I had asked the cashier a question and the manager was on a personal phone call in the back and before the employee had the chance to answer my question the manager came storming to the register, rolled her eyes and cut off the employee to answer my question. I walked away but left very disappointed. There is this thing called respect. I have been in multiple times and experienced the manager being mean to the staff as well as being on personal phone calls. Too bad because the other manager is a sweetheart. read more
