I hadn't been to Piccadilly in years, but was in the mood for comfort food and decided to stop in today. Piccadilly was one of my go to's as a young mother on a budget. They use to have a great deal on kids meals back then on Thursdays. Not much has changed regarding the decor. The restaurant is cafeteria style with various meats and vegetables. I ordered the fried shrimp meal with 2 sides. The shrimp are cooked to order, so there was a bit of a wait. For sides, I ordered the broccoli and rice casserole and carrot soufflé. I came here with my dear aunt for lunch. I grew up eating at places like these and sadly not too many around that I know of. The service here is nice and friendly. The food is cooked fresh daily. The ambiance is casual, and the wait staff will keep your tea refilled and get you what you need, like hot sauce, pepper sauce, etc. There are two daily specials every day. The place has a lot of booths and tables that are very clean. Today there was a Madi Gras theme which was a nice touch. My chicken etoufee was very good along with my veggies. I'm not sure why I decided to come here. I was craving some vegetables and I knew they'd have them. I order chopped steak, side salad, corn and black eyed peas. The food was barely warm. The meat was the consistency of meatloaf, but with a weird flavor. Even though it's boneless I was lucky enough to find two bone fragments in it. The corn was clearly frozen and reheated. It had no flavor and had to add salt. The salad was $2.79 and consisted of enough for 4 bites. The black eyed peas were the highlight, but they were so overcooked they were mush. The service was pretty decent. And the ambiance was old and dated. If you like watching the lowest rated news channel in the US this is your spot. They only play CNN. read more

I selected the Chicken Tender Meal and my two sides are Carrot Soufflé and Broccoli Rice Casserole with one piece of Garlic Toast. My total was $11.89. I had never eaten at Piccadilly cafeteria before I ate here with my family about two weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised by everything from the food to the staff. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful to us. The meals include one entrée, two sides, bread, and a drink. I got the blackened catfish, broccoli and cheese casserole, macaroni and cheese, a roll, apple pie, and a red cream soda to drink. Everything was flavorful, an appropriate temperature, and a good amount of food for the money. My husband got the roast beef and mashed potatoes. They had highchairs available for our toddler son, which was very helpful. The restaurant was clean and organized. We would definitely eat here again if we're in the area. Rating from F to A+++, I would give it an A+++. read more

I was in the area when we passed by Piccadilly & my coworker was so excited about seeing a Piccadilly. Im like ooookay. After we finished business we stopped over so I can try it out. The restaurant made me think of school when it was lunch time. It just had opened up so it wasn't to long of a line. I ordered catfish, mac n cheese, garlic bread, broccoli & sweet potato pie. She had chicken liver (not pictured). The food was good. I personally would've preferred more seasoning on my fish but it had the crunch I like. My broccoli, pie n bread were cold but if it was hot i think it would've been better. Overall I would spin the block and try them again. This was my 1st time seeing one & trying it but now I know the name so if I see it again I'll stop by. The fried chicken was looking like it was good so I'll try that my next visit. read more

Decided to pick-up dinner from here, and I got a terrible stomach ache after eating my take out order. But that's not where the bad experience starts. It started when the assistant manager decided to make his personal plate while one of the workers was making a customer's (me) take-out order. Needless to say, he was very much in the way and chose that particular time to make a personal plate. Make it make sense! As I get to the front register, the cashier did not acknowledge my presence until she was done chatting a coworker. Advice, go elsewhere! Thank you to the beautiful staff and cooks! I was leaving the hospital and I needed lunch quick! When I went to the counter, everything was beautifully place everything was glistening. It was hard to make a choice. But I got two to go meals with friendly service. The salmon patty was a must try for people who like salmon and my son was super impressed with the size of the chicken tenders. The flavor was delicious. We enjoy both of our sides, macaroni and cheese, broccoli and color greens and I don't know what they do to those rolls, but they were heavenly, Sweet light, fluffy, and buttery real people give them real food you're not anywhere close to where I live but if I come back over there I'm definitely making a stop. My only regret is that I did not purchase two salmon patties. read more

What you need to understand is if you are in "Kemp country" there will be no standards to stop the spread of Covid. To each his own... just know going in what you're doing. I got crispy chicken tenders, corn sticks, corn bread, macaroni and cheese, fruit cup, caesar salad, and broccoli cheese. The chicken were tender and juicy. It taste better with the bbq sauce and honey mustard versus eating it alone. The macaroni and cheese was good. The salad was fresh. The broccoli cheese were a little overcooked but flavorful. We chose to eat here because we had just arrived in town, we were tired and it was close. I had not eaten at a Piccadilly restaurant in years. Well I felt, let's give it a shot. I honestly now see why we hadn't been in years. If you want bland, lukewarm food then this is your place. Absolutely nothing had seasoning on it. No salt, no black pepper, no flavor, just food. The Mac-n-cheese didn't even taste like mac-n-cheese. However it was very full with lots of business but many of them were senior citizens so I'm sure this is the crowd they obviously strive to cater to. Friday March 29th: We just ate dinner here tonite, and it was delicious! On the billboard by the road they advertised Shrimp Étouffée. So I ordered it when I went through the line. The server didn't take great care in slapping it on my plate. I wasn't that impressed with the portion of that wonderful food. It did taste ok though...but it wasn't enough. I went through the line again and got their Fried Chicken, green Coleslaw, Creamy Mashed Potato & Gravy. Did I mention 2 Apple Pies, 1 Peach Cobbler, and a Red Velvet Cake (and 3 scoops of Ice Cream). Man, that was yum! The absolute star of the "show" was our server/helper. She was extremely nice, courteous, willing to help and attentive. She has an Ethiopian background, and she made great conversation with us. Her hospitality and warmth was welcoming. Best cafeteria around!!!! I really hate they closed several locations but I frequent the Tucker location. If you listen to Ryan Cameron, he made a song about Piccadillys, and it was jamming! LOL!! If you're looking for a good home away from home cooked meal, Piccadilly's is it! They have salads, meats, and their infamous carrot soufflé. I don't know how this place gets such rave reviews. Must be from senior citizens (no offense). Went there for lunch based off the reviews. Walked in and was hit by the smell of gas. Like propane gas! I step in cautiously and look around wondering if any of the employees and patrons can smell it. If they do, they do they don't show. The dining room is badly in need of an upgrade. If management can't afford a renovation then a fresh coat of paint would do. The 1980's floral industrial carpet is pretty gross. I got fried fish with mac and cheese and black eyed peas and cornbread (with jalapeno). I paid $10 and change and got out of there as quickly as possible. The food was unpalatable. Inedible. Hospital food is more appetizing. The mac and cheese tasted powdery and had a sweet after taste. The pease were mushy and had a fuzzy consistency like the skin of a peach. The fish had a half inch layer of cornmeal coating and was tasteless. The cornbread must have been the worst offender. It was sour. I mean how on earth can cornbread be sour?! Baffling! I am one happy customer right now!!!! I'm from Tampa and we had a picadillo quite close to my home but it shut down. I just so happen to be traveling with work and came across this Picadilly only a mile from my hotel, needless to say it has made this business trip much better!! I decided to come here because I didn't want the typical meal from the typical place. Parking wasn't an issue at all and it wasn't hard to find a spot close to the entrance. When I walked in there wasn't a line and went ahead and placed my order. I got the fried fish, macaroni and cheese, broccoli casserole, and mixed vegetables. I also decided to get a slice of harvest cake. Everything tasted okay I have had better quality from other Piccadilly's I have been to in the past. The cake was too sweet and the icing melted off of the cake. I should have gotten a slice of apple pie. The customer service was very weak. The workers didn't seem like they wanted to be there and the manager was walking around and they seemed tense. I doubt that I will be coming back to this location. read more

Another great time at Picadilly, if you come here to ask for Tim, he was a most excellent waiter I have had at a cafeteria. This time I had the Chicken Fried Chicken with jalapeno gravy, it was better than all the others I have had. The turnip greens were out of this world. The food is good, just know that it is "cafeteria" food- don't expect fine dining here. The portions are very good and there is a good variety of sides (helpful if you're vegetarian like me). The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The parking lot is very spacious, and the restaurant is very clean. Every time I think about Piccadilly, I recall the rat in the collard greens story about 10 years ago. Someone found a huge chunk of rat in their collard greens. As it turned out, the rat came from the factory in a package of collard greens and not Piccadilly. Still, I don't understand how the server did not notice the lower body and tail. I never liked Piccadilly anyway, so I wasn't completely traumatized. My mom wanted to eat at Piccadilly, so I did it for her. It was just awful. It was even more awful than I remembered. My mother even hated her cold meat and vegetables. A woman sitting behind us got into an argument with a staff person about the quality of her food. This is without a doubt the worst Piccadilly I have ever been to. About a year ago, I went here with my family and our experience was awful. Most of the food that we ordered was either cold or undercooked. My food tasted awful and the jello was mushy. Then when we went to pay, it was $50 for four people whereas when I was a kid it didn't cost that much at all and the food was much better. Do not waste your time and money at this place. If you really want something good to eat, just go across the street to O'Charley's. Their food is a little more expensive but at least it's much better than the food here. read more
