I walked in around 3:45 PM to place an order and was told I could only pay by card because the manager was counting down all of the registers for a shift change. Not everyone carries a card, and customers shouldn't be made to feel like an inconvenience because management is preparing for a shift change. I had a coupon pulled up on my phone and gave the number to the employee. The employee asked the manager if they could use it. The manager, while continuing to look down and count the register in front of customers, basically stated that I could use the coupon but had to pay by card because she was counting the drawers down. The issue wasn't that she was doing her job or preparing for a shift change. The issue was the attitude and complete lack of customer service. There was no attempt to politely explain the situation or accommodate the customer. Instead, I was made to feel like I was bothering her while she was counting the register. If management cannot handle a shift change while still treating customers with basic courtesy and respect, then there is clearly a customer-service issue that needs to be addressed. Very disappointing experience. The food may be good, but good food doesn't make up for poor treatment of customers.
