Everyone was very nice and the food was fantastic. When we come back to Sonoma this will be our first stop.

We strolled in just before noon on a Monday and got the last table indoors before they were absolutely slammed with patrons. I had their fried chicken sandwich and my mom got the tuna sandwich. I thought the chicken sandwich was spot on and perfect in every way! We got salads instead of fries for both orders. My only issue was that there were multiple chunks of dead/soggy/mushy spinach stuck to some of the other leaves of lettuce. I wound up just picking out the yummy beets, tomatoes, and pickled onions and not finishing the lettuce portion. The only other issue was that there were ants on our table and crawling along the wall. I will definitely be back to try other things though because the minor issues pale in comparison to how great their menu items looked! read more

I just happen to be riding by on my motorcycle and noticed this establishment on the corner. I stopped in and had some coffee. They have the nicest employees! Super friendly and cheerful. Their coffee was delicious and I'm sure their food was great too, there was a lot of people coming in to place their orders. At 6 am driving up to Infineon raceway there weren't any spots open with coffee! My driver and I agreed a cup before the first race was necessary. Driving past we noticed a lit "open" sign, so we stopped in. Quite a few folks already there and enjoying a cup of brew with breakfast. A cup of coffee and a couple mild breakfast burritos. Egg, cheese and chorizo, the burritos were perfect. Served with salsa Verde that was a touch sweet from the vegetables mixed in and spicy enough. We were told that they also do stuffed pockets with spicy and meat fillings in the afternoon. However after a day long of races were too late to catch them open, they close promptly at 4 pm. read more

What a wonderful little find. We have been going to Picazo for about 7 months now. The burgers and salads, the very best. I highly recommend the Bacon Blue Burger, or any of the salads. All of the dishes prepared by Chef Tio. A Major Quality of this restaurant is their HONESTY and FAMILY ATMOSPHERE! I left my wallet on the table being so preoccupied with the food, and left the restaurant without it. I didnt notice until several hours later. The restaurant was now closed but I was able to get a number for the owner. My wallet was brought back to me within five mins. One of the staff, Nadia found it and turned it in. Really enjoyed my visit to Picazo. The atmosphere and overall inviting culture this place brings to the table is wonderful. They have free WiFi. The food is delicious, complex and exceptionally fresh (especially the beets). The wait staff is friendly, attentive and sweet. Bottomless mimosas? More like bottomless California champagne? Also: sturdy tables. The festive sombrero pocked walls were lovely, as well as the patio furniture. In short, the fact that my wife abandoned me at an AIRBnB and I had to walk here to prevent starvation, shouldn't overshadow how delicious and wonderful this restaurant is. read more

Fantastic lil diner off the beaten path!!! I had a green salad w avocado and oranges. My husband enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich w/ beans, fries and a side of the 7-cheese Mac&Cheese. BTW, the Mac&Cheese is to die for!!! A cute outdoor dining patio is festive and fun for any occasion. Excellent choice! Thank you fellow yelpers for this find. Needed a convenient and reasonably priced place for a late lunch before we hit the vineyards. My mixed green salad with chicken was fresh and tasty. We also got the golden chicken Sandwich which was freaking awesome on a soft roll. Got a side of fries and omg...we looked like the hungry hungry hippos game. Couldn't eat them fast enough. Golden and crispy mmmm. Staff is also super friendly and food came out fast. We ate here twice while staying in the Sonoma area. Enjoyed the veggie kaboom, portabello burger and the margarita sandwich toasted. Loved the salad with beets and marinated red onions that came with the burger. All the food was delicious. Masked required. They were kind and efficient with our order. They do have outdoor seating that allowed dogs, but we chose to take our food to a local park and enjoy the beautiful weather and let our dog run around. read more

I came to Picazo for a flavorful brunch, and of course that is what I got. It was just as I expected to be and even better. The employees are all very kind and welcoming. The patio area is really maintained and pretty. Not to mention the food was good, I ordered pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. To top it off I had a flavorful michelada and a mimosa! By far my favorite mimosas because they don't add a lot of oj, they are made to perfection!! I will be visiting again. read more

We love this place!! GREAT brewed coffee (and I drink it black). Staff is lovely. We've been several times, we've had the $12 fried chicken (organic chicken!) 'burger', the burger (grassfed for $9!!), the $10 power bowl (perfect poached eggs), the $12 mushroom burger , the $12 fish and chips, the $10 veggie kaboom, the $10 pulled pork tacos (corny wrappers), ALL very good, and my new favorite; $10 fried cauliflower tacos (corny wrappers)-the perfect balance between deliciously healthy and decadent. The spicy Picazo sauce you should have on everything, also the chimichurri. Grab any sides you need and then order and pay at the counter-you'll get a number to take to your table, get your water on the way, and if you go anywhere for lunch dear yelpers, avoid the 12:30-1:30 rush or know that you will wait. If you want a burger that is red inside, order rare and repeat yourself. There is a website picazocafe.com if you want to look up the menu. The pastries are good, baked in house, and they have a wide variety of chips and fountain and bottled drinks (beer and wine, too!). I have never gotten a to go order so I cannot comment on that but other than a sandwich, I wouldn't judge on to go food anyway. Driven by Picazo for years, but it took the closing of our favorite breakfast spot, Muffin Street Bakery, to finally get us to stop in. Been there twice in the past week and simply love the place. It's got the vibe of old Sonoma and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. Hard to beat the croissant breakfast sandwich, that comes with a delicious small fruit bowl to start. The croissant is great, flakey and buttery. The eggs cooked just right and your choice of ham,sausage or bacon, all very tasty. Of course there is a wonderful selection of breakfast options to choose from. Small seating area inside and a very nice outside tables setting under a huge tree for early mornings. Picazo will continue to be our go to breakfast spot when driving through town on our way to the Delta or Sonoma Raceway. read more

I'm a fan but not a lover, hah. It was good. My mom ordered the vegetarian omelet with the colorful potatoes and I got a croissant with ham, egg, and cheese. They offer fruit on the side, and I asked for a side of potatoes. They have excellent service and you can tell they make everything then and there. It all tasted so fresh! The reason I'm not giving it 5 out of 5 is because I wasn't completely amazed by the flavors. They were pretty simple but nothing extraordinary. Walked in at 11:55 and stood in line for five minutes before we could order at the cash register with the intention of ordering breakfast. By the time we reached the register it was 12:00. The woman told us that they stop serving breakfast at noon. I explained we were waiting in line for five minutes and that it just turned noon as we were talking to her, and even showed her my watch. Nope. No breakfast for you! Screw it. We walked out. I didn't know TSA was now in charge of enforcing breakfast shifts at Picazo but at least now I know where to go when I want an ample portion of rigid regulation enforcement without having to drive all the way to SFO. read more

This very unique restaurant should be entered from the rear parking lot to get the full effect of their garden and outdoor dining area. Inside is just as unique as you order at the counter and your food is delivered to you. We came at breakfast and had plenty of gluten free options to choose from. My husband chose the Power bowl with eggs , quinoa and black beans. I had Chilaquiles. He ate all his food and finished mine. So delicious, perfect seasoning and sauces. Portions were generous but not overwhelming. Service was unobtrusive but spot on. We will try to come back during our Sonoma vacation. read more

We ordered breakfast burritos with sausage and pepper Jack cheese and a avocado. The sausage they use is weird it was hard, the cheese was American, and we got 4 tiny little pieces of avocado. Such a disappointment but I guess that's what you get at a Mexican cafe using cheap ingredients. Never again. read more

Stopped at this little hole in the wall diner for breakfast while visiting Sonoma. Ordered the french toast with bacon and coffee. The coffee was just ok. The french toast though......was pretty frickin tasty. It was encrusted in something that gave it something extra and different. in a good way! I would definitely recommend it. Customer service was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Wished I could have stayed and tried their burger since it seems to be one of the best in the area. Maybe next time :) read more

My husband and I had a less than favorable breakfast experience here and contacted the owner and she made good on it (they had a new cook on). We returned for a second visit and was pleasantly surprised everything was well executed, the Mahi Po Boy was tasty as well as The turkey BLT. It was a pleasant Service experience. Disappointing visit today! I absolutely love mahi-mahi I couldn't wait to get my order of fish and chips only to find out that the fish was near paper thin with heavy coarse breading. I couldn't even taste the fish. If you are going to draw customers with such a tasty fish as Mahi-mahi you need to make it present in the dish....what a shame. read more

This wonderful and warm family provides a welcoming atmosphere and consistently great food. The menu is expanding with new dishes. Because of its location, Picazo gets a lot of customers who are going up or down Arnold Drive. But it's surprising that a lot of locals don't know about it. This is my go to place for a good burger. They have a huge menu, and their staff is friendly and accommodating. Their Double B (bacon/blue cheese) Burger hits the spot. I appreciate their ability to modify items for those that have dietary restrictions and preferences. I like this place. I like the hard-working crew that is there, they clearly are committed. I think they are creative and they are constantly evolving. I like that it's a locals kind of place. They do generous pours with their wine. My beef this time was with the Traditional Club Sandwich. It was not traditional in that it had avocado in it and ham and turkey and bacon. There were not three slices of bread which is traditional. The problem with the sandwich is that the cold cuts were so ice cold and there was no way to eat the sandwich without squishing the avocado out everywhere. It was also way too big, the sandwich is enough for two people easy and leftovers maybe for a snack later. Not even cut into quarters. Okay, maybe I'm splitting hairs. But there's this hot tip: Traditional Club Sandwiches do not include yellow mustard. Totally ruined it. The attendant macaroni salad was bland and flavorless. I mean seriously, some salt, some lemon juice or something? I will go back again. Just take out the mustard and maybe mash the avocado and don't call it traditional. read more

First off, this place has the best burgers in Sonoma, period. Secondly, these are quality people. I walked here today after being evacuated from my home due to a fire (with my 2 cats in carriers) - after closing - and they let me sit outside on the patio and charge my phone. They also brought me homemade juice, water and fruit. One of their employees, Nadia, even had someone drive over cat food, water and a dish for my cats. This place will have my business forever. We got our food to go. It was good, but nothing amazing. Food: We got chilaquiles, the acai bowl, and the veggie bagel. The chilaquiles were soggy and didn't have a whole lot of flavor. (The sogginess could be because we didn't eat the food right when it was made, but it seemed a little too soggy for that.) The acai bowl was pretty good, but it's a smoothie with granola, when I was really hoping something more the consistency of a parfait. It was almost too runny to eat with a spoon, so I didn't really know what to do with the granola. The veggie bagel was fine. I might try sitting down at this place and seeing how it is. The ambiance seemed quite nice. I'd definitely give it another try, but wouldn't order food to go from there again. read more
