Horrible. The billing department violated the HIPPA Act when they repeatedly mailed my statements to an address not associated with me. Only found out I owed money when I was contacted by a collection agency. Initially, I received an invoice via email, but the service treatment was incorrect and I was billed for treatment I did not receive. Wellnow was going to resubmit invoice to my insurance company. I thought this was done since I didn't hear anything until I received a call from collections. I spoke with WellNow on multiple occasions and even have written record of these conversations, but when I call back, I'm told they have no record of these conversations. I questioned the opening message when you call that states the call is recorded. The rep was silent to that. The rep told me he would send an appeal to insurance company but a month later and still not done. The rep had no record of a call regarding this. I was told I had to do myself with the insurance company. To top it off, with the original incorrect invoice, WellNow tried to apply the fee without my consent from my HSA account but it was declined. When I questioned them, their response was I'm responsible for the bill. Don't go here!! Since June I've had nothing but trouble with WellNow and still having trouble. I sent an email to the Norridge location regarding these issues and no response. read more

Heartless. Careless. Unresponsive. Three days after a visit the three prescriptions and additional meds were showing no improvement. Called and spoke with receptionist asking if I could speak to a doctor or nurse because I now had additional symptoms and felt worse. Was told they would call me back. No call. Drove to location arrived 8 minutes after close. A staffer informed me no one could speak to me or even give me a note for work because they were packing up for the day. The entire staff was still there - they did not care. Perhaps if I had waved cash in the air they might have suddenly cared. What a joke. I sincerely hope they one day are in need of assistance and are treated as poorly as they treated me. read more

I came here when I really needed help. I couldn't breathe and they turned me away. They said it was due to lack of equipment. I had already paid so know I'm out 180 dollars until this refund goes through. I've never experienced such awful personal affect from someone whose sole responsibility is taking my vitals. I work in this field believe me when I say what they are doing is not what we learned in school. Sorry for the way these people represent us. Also unrelated but if you work in medicine it's super illegal to smoke weed. The lady with the date tattooed on her hand who took my vitals reeked of it. If there were consequences for medical professionals I'd do everything in my ability to hold them accountable sadly there aren't. I went to be seen for strep, they were out of the strep test and then they advised I should have additional testing done. They come back and they were out of those tests too. Then the medical assistant said I could be refunded my co pay. I go to the front then they said I can't get a refund. They also had trouble electronically sending over my antibiotics. This place used to be good but how can you be an urgent care center when you don't even have the tests in stock to test patients. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else!!! read more

This review is so duplicitous because the staff was amazing and the care quality was on point but babyyyyy... So I came here today 11/5/24 with a friend and immediately upon walking in the door I was PUNCHED in the face with the most PUTRID URINE SMELL I have EVER been assaulted with . I couldn't even let the receptionist Jennifer finish greeting us before I asked her "WHY DOES IT SMELL LIKE PISS IN HERE?!?!" Jennifer was soooo sweet. She repeatedly apologized for the smell and attempted to rectify it with air freshener but when I say the spray was no match for that odor!!! It LITERALLY smells like they use a bucket of rank, dark orange colored urine to wipe down all the hard surfaces and then recycle that same urine to mop the floors . I had to grab a mask from the front desk to keep me from gagging . We are here now as I'm writing this review, that's how bad it is and I want to wait outside so bad but it's raining right now and tbh I might just say F- - - it and stand out in the rain because it smells so bad in here; to the point I'm afraid the smell is going to get in my clothes . I feel like I'm sitting inside someone's week old Depends diaper that they've been continually pissing in and not changing it. It's really bad ya'll . A business shouldn't be allowed to operate with their establishment smelling this way cause this CAN'T be legal . Something needs to be done, and done NOW!! I show up at 9:30 and don't get seen until noon, vomiting and nauseous the whole time. Not fun. The actual medical care I received was good, which is why it gets two stars instead of one. They send me to a pharmacy to pick up a prescription afterwards. When I get there, the pharmacy says they hadn't received the electronic prescription and suggests I call. I call Physicians Immediate Care off and on for an hour and no one picks up, so I haul my sick ass back to their office where the receptionist is busy texting her buds. read more

Only because 0 start is not an option. I walked in to be seen for a knee injury, even though I have been there before - they just looked for every excuse in the book as why they couldn't see me. The front desk rep gave the impression of being lazy and unfriendly. While I was there trying to ask why I couldn't be seen with my insurances for over 30 mins, a few other people walked in and they turned them away as well. This place will get you through the basics or when you're in a bind and can't see a primary care doctor. They are not incredibly fast nor particularly friendly in reception. Everything is very business like and professional, but not the empathetic approach that you might want when you're sick. If you need basics like a physical or a shot to keep up your records, they can make that happen easy enough. Anything beyond an initial diagnosis, I would probably go to your primary care physician. read more

I arrived at 11:30 am and was required to complete a lengthy registration process and pay a $15 fee upon arrival. It's now almost 2 pm, and I still haven't been called in. An Unpleasant Experience: Rude Urgent Care Doctor Needs Improvement My recent visit, 7/18/23, to the urgent care center, Physicians Immediate Care - Norridge, left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. The sole reason for my one-star rating is the unprofessional behavior displayed by the attending doctor, Dr. Florence A. Roche, MD, which was completely uncalled for and left me questioning the quality of care provided at this facility. Upon my first arrival, there were only 2 patients in the waiting room but I was told that the waiting time is at least 2 hours so I came back after 3 hours to be sure that all the sick patients are gone. I understood that emergencies took precedence and patiently waited for my turn. I was called and placed to the exam room where a technician took my vitals and left. However, after one hour of sitting in discomfort and growing increasingly concerned about my condition, I approached the doctor to inquire about the wait time. She was very rude and it was evident that she was agitated by the workload and had little regard for my concerns or well-being. Rather than showing empathy or understanding, she told me to leave citing the need to attend to other patients who were apparently more "urgent" than me. I left. As a patient seeking urgent care, I was left feeling neglected, disrespected, and uncared for. I understand the pressures healthcare professionals face, but that should never excuse unprofessional behavior and a lack of basic human decency towards patients in need. I strongly urge the management of this urgent care center to take immediate action in addressing the conduct of this particular doctor. It is essential to ensure that every patient, regardless of the severity of their condition, is treated with respect and compassion. Furthermore, measures should be put in place to improve the efficiency and communication within the clinic to prevent prolonged wait times and mismanaged patient expectations. Long wait time even with an appointment, they get you into The exam room do a quick blood pressure test, temperature check and then they disappear for 45 minutes. The actual lights in the room went out three or four times because of nothing happening in there. The name physicians immediate care center implies that you're going to be seeing a actual doctor however that was not the case I only was able to see a nurse practitioner who in my opinion seemed like she didn't have very much knowledge. This place does not require not even a one star you go and you pay your money is $265 to get a Covid test. 48 hours response. No response it's been three days you call all day long. No one answers the phone go ahead and you try to do the options of one through five or six and then you put is zero to see if you can get an associate to speak with you. Received a $120 bill for my FREE Covid-19 vaccine shots from back in April/May. They are closed right now so I can't call and ask yet what the hell this is about but the CDC website says all vaccines are free of charge. They also billed my insurance and my insurance already paid them the money. Physicians care you have some explaining to do. read more

I took my 12 year old niece to Physician's I.C. on Cumberland when she was having a severe asthma attack. This place was closer to us and my niece was turning blue. When I walked in I was told, "Didn't I read the sign?" Apparently, a sign on the door indicates that they stop accepting patients a half hour before their closing time. I pleaded with them for help but the doctor who never came out of the back room, refused. I drove my niece to Lutheran General ER. She was critical and was admitted to the ICU for over a week. We were lucky she survived. read more

I've been to this urgent care location multiple times and have never had such an awful experience. The wait was longer than if I had gone to the hospital. Almost 3 hours waiting and the physician assessment was less than two minutes. She couldn't have left the room any quicker. There was an elderly man that was also waiting with me to be seen and after waiting two hours the poor man he had to leave. I'm not sure what has changed at this location but something needs to be done for better quality healthcare. Nothing was "immediate" about this visit. Also the chitter chatter about patients personal health information in the hall ways very inappropriate. I did not need to know that room 5 has a UTI. Just awful. One more thing I had an appointment and the lobby was empty when I arrived yet so many people that arrived after me were seen before me which is bananas. I went there for testing and they said they will let me know in a few days my results. They called twice within the last few days at 8 AM and told my results needed to be discussed urgently. I called back at 9. No response. I left several voicemails and called several times every day prior...no response. I just got on the phone with a lady who works there and when I told her my issue she had a snarky rude tone and hung up while I was asking a question. They left me hanging with no answer driving me insane. NEVER go here they are very careless, dirty, unprofessional, and don't care about their patients. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Absolutely horrible! Made an appointment for 12 pm and arrived 15 minutes before as asked. I then had to wait 40 mins in my car passed my appointment time before they called me inside. I went specifically to get the COVID rapid test and figured with a scheduled appointment I would be out in no longer than an hour. After finally being called inside the clinic I mentioned to the lady taking care of me that I am pregnant and was exposed to COVID. I again had to repeat myself to another lady that did the test on me. After getting tested I waited another 40 minutes in the exam room. Not once did anyone come to check if I'm even alive. Did they forget about me? I was now at this place for over 2 hours all while pregnant and nauseous and again not one person checked on me! After I finally stepped out the room to ask what's going on ,the nurse practitioner came in with my results and I had to repeat myself for the third time that I was exposed to COVID. Does the staff not communicate? Why do I have to constantly repeat myself? I will never ever come back to this place again. It's in my neighborhood but my husband was seen at the Jefferson Park location and it was much more professional and organized! I was forced to pay $50 despite my insurance covering 100%. The woman at the desk said that I had to pay it or not be seen. A week later, my EOB from insurance said covered 100%. A week after that, they received their EOB and their check from my insurance company. It is now over 3 months and I still do not have my refund. I have been in contact with the company multiple times. They acknowledge they owe me the refund but still have not sent it. One person stated that she would write the check and I would have it in 7 to 10 business days. Didn't happen. Another said, they wrote the check 2 days prior and I would have it in 7 to 10 business days. Didn't happen. Today, they told me the paperwork is in accounting. That is all they know. I could not contact accounting as they take no calls. Therefore, no information on my refund. I want my money with interest. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! read more

I don't live in Chicago and when I got sick (103 degree temp) I went to the urgent care closest to my hotel. They told me a two-hour wait and after 1.5 hours, the wait was now over 3 hours. No triage, no medical system at all. If you make an appointment and are perfectly healthy, you will get in before the people who really need to see a doctor. On Saturday July 6th my Stepdad visited Physicians Immediate care for Ear pain. He was treated by 2 people. One who which dug in his ear for at least 45 minutes. He was prescribed antibiotic ear drops and went on his way. As my mother put these drops in his ear he was in excruciating pain. Overnight things got much worse, he couldn't sleep and by the am his ear blew up with swelling and the side of his face with severe excruciating pain. Upon returning to Physicians Immediate Care on Sunday July 7th, my Stepfather pointed out the person who took care of him yesterday and dug in his ear. My Mother (a RN) in conversation asked the women if she was a Resident? she said no, A Doctor? She said no, a Nurse? She said no my Mom puzzled asked what are you? She said I'm the Secretary. Yes you read that right the Secretary, dug through the infected ear canal next to the fragile infected ear drum. So then a Physicians Assistant saw him and prescribed some oral antibiotics and told him to stop taking the ear drops because he may have had an allergic reaction. My Mother inquired was he also being prescribed a steroid since he was having an allergic reaction and he replied that a steroid would only make it worse, skeptical and exhausted she excepted his reply. Last night the pain did not get better and my Stepfather was up all night again. Today Monday July 8th my Stepfather went to see his regular amazing Doctor and two things were concluded, (even though the ear canal is swollen so bad he can't even see in it) 1) He has a severe infection in his inner ear that was aggravated by the medical procedure the Secretary performed on him. The ear drum could of been easily punctured, it was a careless procedure that shouldn't of been performed till the infection was cleared up. 2) He indeed is also experiencing an allergic reaction and was prescribed the steroid prednisone. This in fact wouldn't hurt him, but help the severe swelling. ***With that being said, this is not over yet. We are praying he wakes up feeling much better tomorrow, if in 48 hours he isn't he will be seeing an ENT for further treatment. This took place at Physicians Immediate Care in Norridge at 4900 N Cumberland! DONT let this happen to you and always at any Immediate Care ask who the person is that is performing a medical procedure on you, you have the right to know who is working on you of your family members. read more

I'm very surprised by the negative reviews o this page. I've been here several times over the past few years for injuries, and illnesses and I've always received professional medical assistance. Last year, I was in a traffic accident and my neck pain would not subside after two days, so I went there on a Sunday morning. They took x-rays right at that location, they advised me that I had no broken bones but prescribed me some meds for the pain and told me to follow up with my primary care physician or an orthopedic surgeon, which I did. Turns out that they were absolutely right, I ended up getting cortisone shots in my neck and going thru physical therapy to resolve my neck injury. This past week, I had an infection and of course it was on a Sunday again, so I went there at 2:30pm., they were able to diagnose, treat me and prescribe meds within an hour. This place is faster treatment than waiting in a hospital emergency room. Highly recommended, especially for injuries or illnesses that occur on the weekends, when my Primary Care Physician is off. read more

READ BEFORE YOU GO HERE IF YOU NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION OTHER THAN A COVID TEST. I do really like this place, but 7/4/20 I did not at all. Needed to get an X-ray on my son's ankle so we showed up before 8 and there is already a line outside because they also test for COVID. I pull up to the main door to ask where those who need to see a doc like us go. The young man told me WE HAVE TO STAND IN THE SAME LINE!!! I asked the same question again thinking I heard him wrong and he said we all have to be tested/screened. Really, with potential COVID patients. That is just so counter-intuitive. Why would you do that? There is a front door and a side door. Take our temps at the front door and let us in. I don't want to walk in for a sprain and come home with the virus. Please fix this. Needless to say we left. Not sure if or when I'll be back. I acknowledge your comment and agree all should be screened. But placing people who believe they may be ill, have been exposed to or have COVID symptoms right next to those who are there for non-COVID matters should not happen. Screened yes. I cant even begin to believe the horrendous service I had today. I got here at about 9am because I had some terrible cold/flu symptoms. First off, the receptionist with a piercing in the middle of her cheek lacked any customer service skills. She didnt even say "hi" or 'hello" or "how can I help you?" Just "what do you need." After all the paperwork and whatnot, I didnt get back to a room until about 9:30am. Fine, it's a weekend, they're busy, and there were 3 people in front of me when I arrived, I get it. I get to the room and get seen by the triage nurse within 5 minutes, cool. She takes my vitals, swabs me for the flu, and says the doctor will be in there shortly. I waited until 10:15am and NO ONE CAME TO SEE ME. At this point, I'm hungry, light-headed, congested, and they left me in a room WITH NO TISSUES for my nose! I saw 2 or 3 other people come in after I arrived and leave before I even saw the doctor. I just about lost my mind. I walked out and was going to head home and suck it up until the next day when I could seey primary doctor. The nurse asked, "What's going on? Are you okay?" I told her that I wasnt okay and that I was just going to go home because it was ridiculous that I had been waiting that long just to see someone to find out if i had the flu or not. The nurse says "Well the doctor is working on your discharge paperwork, so you should be leaving soon." WAIT, WHAT? THE DOCTOR HADNT EVEN SEEN ME AND THEY WERE COMPLETING MY DISCHARGE PAPERWORK HOW? I waited about another 5 minutes and a PA came in to see me and apologized for the wait. He did a mini-exam, told me what I had, and some of the antibiotics/meds he was going to prescribe. He said to give him a few minutes and he would call in my meds to the Walgreens next door. The nurse comes back in with discharge instructions, my prescriptions note, and a doctors note for work tomorrow. So they DIDNT call my medications in AND they checked off "Mr." on my doctors note for work tomorrow.... I AM FEMALE. MY CHARTS SAY FEMALE. I WAS BORN BIOLOGICALLY AND ANATOMICALLY FEMALE. THERE WERE NO INDICATIONS ANYWHERE THAT I AM MALE OR WISHED TO BE REFERRED TO AS SUCH. To say I was offended is to put it lightly. I'm so horrified by this whole expeirence. I usually go to the physicians immediate in Glendale Heights because that's closer to our home and never had such a poor experience there... I only came to this one because it was closer to my in-laws house (where we were spending the weekend). DO NOT COME HERE. Not a good experience. They decided they needed to take chest x-rays of me. They took way too many, exposing me to 5 or 6 x-rays instead of just 2. The X-Ray Technician did not seem to know what she was doing. Taking x-rays is not like taking photos. Either she was incompetent, or the X-ray equipment was malfunctioning. After meeting with the Dr., I disagreed with the Dr's diagnosis. She said I had a disease I have never had in my life and that I have no symptoms for. I wasted my time and money and came out no better than when I went in there. I would not recommend this place. I want a full refund! read more
