Fantastic food, so delicious and savory. True flavors without adding an MSG. All the ingredients are fresh and new. The chef knows how to balance flavor and textures. Outstanding. This place is a hidden gem. Hong Kong/southern flavors that don't overburden your pallet. Highly recommended . Sweet-and-sour Soup - best I've experienced in ages. Highly recommend Kung Poa and Orange chicken dishes. Plus great Mapo Tofu (if you like spicy - ask) tofo is very tender and fresh. And I can't say enough about the green beans - #1 in soCal. Update 9/4/2025 It's been almost 2 years and a half that I have been a regular customer here. Stellar service by Mike and the chef 's wife ! Some lobster seafood dishes, Hainan chicken and BBQ pork have to be called in and ordered in few days advance ensuring freshness !!! Today we had a birthday celebration that I had reserved days in advance for 14 people! Everyone enjoyed all the dishes ! All dishes always cooked fresh upon ordering !!!! Chef Paul is aware of one of my grandson's peanut allergy so all were prepared with caution from cross contamination!!! Among the dishes we ordered today were: Steamed rice Pan Fried noodles with beef BBQ pork buns New pan fried pork buns Crispy pan fried noodles with beef Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce Chinese broccoli in garlic sauce Chicken fried rice Spicy & Regular orange chicken Fried shrimp with Salt & pepper Honey Walnut Shrimp ( walnuts separately on another plate) Black Pepper Beef Mignon Xiao Long Bao steamed dumplings Braised String Beans Was a busy night tonight almost a full house !!

Yelp didn't disappoint! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. It's spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The two gentlemen serving and taking our order were attentive and efficient. We can't wait to go back to try more dishes.

This place is amazing. It's a small and humble Chinese restaurant that serves incredibly delicious food. From the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere to the high quality food--both dine in and take out, this place is definitely worth a try whenever you're in the area. My personal favorites are the Japanese tofu, chicken wings, and house special fish fillet. Japanese tofu has the perfect softest tofu ever. The chicken wings are so crispy and juicy, I think about them so often. And last but not least, the house special fish fillet is a soft fish that is full of flavor--so easy to eat and to order again and again.

Phu Chen Kitchen has been raved about by my Yelpie friends for the longest time. I had the intention to check it out one day. Funny, I was at Wal-Mart parking lot and I happened to look up. Guess what I saw? The biz name Phu Chen right across the street from Wal-mart. I said since I am nearby, I might as well. My first time here was for take-out. Staff was welcoming. Food was ready timely. Shrimp gaw was gigantic and full of shrimp... it almost covered my entire palm! It was that big. It had great flavor. Chicken wings were amazing! Veggie chow mein was okay. It needed more wok flavor IMHO. Portions were very good though. My second time here was for dine-in with my Yelpie friend. I noticed the person taking our order was giving the attention primarily to my friend as if I wasn't there. It's all good. I'm not a regular customer. She is. But still... good customer service should be given regardless of frequency of visits. However, the other staff member was very attentive and took great care of us throughout our 5 hours of dining LOL. Thank you sir! The young lady behind the counter was very nice, too. Thank you miss! Our dine-in meal was very delicious overall. Fish maw soup was quite flavorful... I enjoyed it very much. Garlic string beans were crispy, firm, and tasty... it's a winner... must get every time! Fried pork belly was decent. It didn't have any WOW factor to it. The batter needed more seasoning IMHO. Seafood chow mein had a lot of yellow noodles topped with a good amount of fresh tasting seafood. I love my seafood! Last, but not least, shrimp gaw shined again! Great selections of Chinese foods in huge portions, good amount of inside seating space, and wonderful service! Plenty of free parking. What are you waiting for... come on by and check out Phu Chen!

Very delicious food and the service is phenomenal really friendly and inviting me and the wife had a date night and we're welcomed with open arms the staff is very friendly and very attentive to you food is very fresh and good eggs rolls are delicious definitely coming back soon, also to add as we were walking out we were gifted these sesame balls very grateful to the staff here and will definitely be a constant customer!

My mom loves Chinese food so anytime we visit town we try a new spot and this one was a clear winner! We tried the orange chicken, kung pao beef, and honey walnut shrimp. All of the dishes were cooked well and had the perfect amount of sauce. Our favorite was the orange chicken, perfectly crispy and right balance of meat/batter. This is a family owned restaurant and our waitress was prompt and super nice. Everything is clean and well maintained. We dug in before I took the photos so presentation is much nicer than I captured lol

I just moved to the area and was craving some dim sum. So glad I found this place down the street! It's in the same center as the bowling alley, so there's tons of parking. When I called my order in, I was told 20 minutes but I ended up waiting another 15 after I got there. No biggie, they were busy. I ordered XLB, shumai, har gow, and a boba Thai tea. XLB (4 stars) - 12 pieces in an order and they were each on a cute little aluminum tray. Presumably to hold in any soup that may leak out. And even after a bumpy ride home, each little dumpling survived. It wasn't the soupiest XLB, but definitely juicy. Flavor was good. Would order again. I do rate all XLB against Din Tai Fung... so 4 stars is pretty solid. Shumai (5+ stars) - shumai is one of my favorite dim sum orders... this place was LEGIT. Hefty sized shumai and absolutely delicious. You get 4 pieces in the order, and it's enough to fill me up. *Spectacular! Give me 14 of em right now!* Har gow (4 stars) - shrimp ratio wasn't bad. Wrapper was a bit thick but no biggie. We like the carbs. Boba Thai tea (4.5 stars) - boba was soft and chewy and that Thai tea was your average Thai tea. It's definitely on the sweet side... so you've been warned. Dim sum in Fontana... this is the place to go.

A great friend of ours raved about Phu Chen Kitchen and asked us to give them a try, and she was right, this place is so good. Came here one evening for dinner. We ordered the following dishes: - House Special Pan Fried Noodle w/Shrimp, Chicken & Beef - Beef w/Ginger & Green Onion Both dishes were so good. The portion was generous. We couldn't finish our foods and had to take them home. The staffs were kind and friendly. The dining area are modern and clean. Overall, we enjoyed dining here. Would definitely come back to try out their other dishes. Glad our friend recommended this place!

Number 44 in Yelps top 100 Chinese restaurants in America and number 7 in California. If Yelp wants to be taken seriously they have to do better research on their list. No way this restaurant should be in the top 100. It's a disservice to this good restaurant. They serve fine food but the expectation is a lot higher when you are ranked so high on any list. We tried several dishes, the orange chicken was okay, the fried rice was fine, and the noodles were average. The soup dumplings were definitely not the best tasting in the area. I drove 30 minutes to try this place because of Yelps list and it definitely was not worth the drive. You can try better or comparable Chinese restaurants in adjacent cities near this place. It's a fine place and the workers are nice, but come on.

UPDATE!! Thank you for responding for my review, Paul. My suggestion to you is for the next takeout customer you should personally check their food so that the customer will not think that their were scammed. If you cant do that consistently, then your response should be more apologetic and own that mistake. For anyone that will try this restaurant, Food is good, I came several times just to try different things. Some food needs to order days in advance for whatever reason. But after my takeout experience and Paul response. I decided NOT to come to this place. You guys dont deserve my business, Paul. Just check your takeout food before you leave the restaurant!!

What's Up Everyone this is Chuck Owner of Chuck T's CaliQue, Mobile Catering. At for the first time at Phu Chen Kitchen, my Wife had a last for Chinese or Thai food. Checked out this spot and we were not disappoint. Food was delicious I mean really good. This will be my spot ! Not sure how long it has been open but really clean and had a blocked another seating area for large crowds. Service was great Mary, Lynle made sure we had everything we needed. Went here last Friday & it was definitely worth my money! Freshly made food and authentic! The owner & staff were super friendly & had plenty of suggestions! We got the pan fried noodles with 3 meats & this alone was definitely my family's favorite! The steamed rice was homemade & not sticky like other places! The orange chicken was a bit sweet but crunchy and hit the spot! My son also tried the steamed BBQ buns and they were different but tasty if you have a sweet tooth! Honestly my go to when I'm craving Chinese & don't want to wait in a long lines at the other places! The serving aren't big but satisfying and I definitely didn't mind because I'm on a diet! First time here and definitely not the last!! This place is AMAZING! We tried the salt & pepper calamari that was topped with jalapeños and crunchy garlic. Delicious! Highly recommend. Then we tried the bao dumplings which were juicy and cooked to perfection. Next we tried the pork buns & they were the best we've tried in so long we literally can't remember! Peter and Paul were so friendly and patient. The food was sooo good. We ordered Siomai (pork and shrimp dumplings), fried pork dumplings, Har Gow (shrimp dumplings), a salt-and-pepper fish and calamari mix, and, lastly, chicken fried rice, which they gladly added salted fish to upon request. Service is awesome the guy at the counter was super nice. Also the food is so good! Very fresh and piping hot. Everything is cooked to order you can hear the wok in the back making noise as they cook each dish fresh. The prices are so affordable too it's nice to see a restaurant charging really good affordable prices. We got chowmein beef with king pao chicken and stir fried veggies and sweet n sour shrimp for $38. Yes $38 that's almost a steal for 4 large plates. I would pay this anytime. read more

I love this place omg. it's my first time but they made me feel so comfortable! i had no idea what to order but they helped me out and made sure i didn't order more or less than i needed. they even added steamed rice for me because i wasn't sure if it'd be too much so just in case. the prices are good in my opinion, especially for the portions. i'll definitely be coming back. super clean & they have a huge tv that you can't look away from. super sweet staff. i love it here read more

What an accommodating and caring staff at this establishment. Celebrating my mom's 91st birthday and all she wanted was Chinese food they made it possible. She enjoyed everything from the honey walnut shrimp to the green beans. I came in a couple of days before I needed to order and explain to them what I needed and when I needed it and they were very accommodating. The chef even came out and spoke with me. I ordered everything to go, but I can't wait to go sit in their new dining area. Thanks for helping me with my mom 91st birthday. You guys are amazing! read more

The food was good. The service was quick. And the restaurant was small but welcoming. However, the hygiene of the cashier had me on edge. Between his teeth and breath, I was super nervous. He reassured me that everything was made fresh so I would have to wait longer for the food - no problem at all. When I got the food I noticed hair on the bag where it was tied into a knot. Okay - no problem, I began eating my food and I was so happy to find some good bbq bao buns and soup dumplings. They really were DELICIOUS! Well, I bit into another bao bun and I found.... Hair. This was sooo disappointing because the food really was good. I'm giving 3 stars because of the food. If they could wear hair nets and maybe a mask, this would be a 5 star dive. read more

Thank you phu Chen kitchen for staying a little late for me to come by and pickup an order I really appreciate it. My family and I have been really wanting some good Chinese food and there's literally none by our house and I get off work so late I decided to give Phu Chen kitchen a call and see if they'd wait to let me pick up and order to be honest it was a little of a drive so I contemplated calling and letting them know I didn't want the order but I REALLY wanted Chinese food lol. This newly opened restaurant definitely have great customer service. It was very clean inside. Food was excellent. It is going to be my fav. Spot for Chinese food in the area for sure. Since it was my first time trying, I didn't know what to order, so I asked for recommendations. They suggested the deep fried pork belly, honey walnut shrimp, broccoli with Chinese sausage and chicken. It was all so delicious! I could tasted the freshness of all ingredients. New Chinese restaurant opened up, the wife was craving Chinese and this place had fantastic food. First off the ambience and service were great, they greet you with a great vibe. I placed an order for pick up. As I waited for my order I had myself a ice cold beer. Ordered the following: -Pepper beef mignon was delicious would go back just for that. -egg rolls were great -shrimp fried rice was on point -calamari was also good, I should've asked for more dipping sauce. -the steamed dumplings were my wife's favorite and she will be send me back for those. Enjoyed how it wasn't your average Chinese restaurant in regards to being greasy, or pre made sitting out all day. This place makes everything fresh per order. Then I got a call back from DoorDash -- not to help me, but to relay a message: **Big Sky had contacted them specifically to refuse my refund.** Let that sink in. A customer found a maggot in their food, couldn't eat a single bite of a $54.19 order, and the restaurant's response was to **actively call DoorDash to make sure I didn't get my money back.** I understand that occasionally bugs happen in food service. It's gross, but I was fully prepared to move on had they simply taken responsibility. Instead, they chose to fight a $54 refund over a maggot. That tells you everything you need to know about how this restaurant values its customers. **Eat here at your own risk -- and if something's wrong, you're on your own.**

Phu Chen Kitchen had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with warm lighting and comfortable seating. The decor was simple but elegant, with traditional Asian elements that added to the restaurant's charm. The menu at Phu Chen Kitchen was extensive, with a wide variety of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. We ordered the pork cutlet, shrimp fried rice, sweet and sour shrimp, fried shrimp, and duck. All of the dishes were flavorful and tasted authentic, with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of seasoning. The taste is extremely unique, I had never tasted such flavors before! I've been coming to this dim sum spot in the IE for over a year now, and it continues to impress! It's become a go-to for me when I'm craving quality Chinese food locally. I always enjoy my favorite dim sum staples, and they never disappoint. The Shrimp Har Gow, Xiao Long Bao, and Shu Mai are consistently delicious. We love it!!! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Food is always made to order, everything we have tried is delicious. It is kid friendly they are always so welcoming when we take our two daughters with us. As small business owners we know customer service is always a priority and they know how to treat customers, always very respectful and professional. Our go to place for take out. You have to try the orange chicken, beef broccoli, fried rice and the chow mein. They now have new items on their menu and have to say the sesame balls are the best ones I have ever had. read more

Price: Fair pricing for the portion sizes. Definitely worth it for the quality of the food! Customer Service: Excellent service! The staff was super nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall: The Chinese food here was authentic and delicious! I ordered honey walnut shrimp, black pepper stir fry, and dumplings all were amazing. The dumplings were especially great, and the shrimp had fantastic flavor. I was in the mood for some dim sum and came across this place through Yelp. We ordered several things off the menu including the steamed BBQ Pork Buns, steamed dumplings, pan fried dumplings and Kung Pao Chicken. Everything was incredible. One of the gentlemen that works here named Peter was really sweet and funny. Wonderful service and I highly recommend the Thai Tea Boba. This place is located directly across the bowling alley in the corner. It's a little small, but definitely a hidden gem. read more

Stop in to visit Some great friends for dinner , my friend highly recommend the Japanese soft tofu stir fry with Chinese broccoli. Of course we had to try and yup! Glad we did , soft center and textured exterior, delicious flavors combination with the Chinese broccoli. I had a craving for fried rice and decided to stop by Phu Chen. The service was fast and friendly! The interior was quite modern and had a few seating areas if you'd like to dine in. My initial experience was positive, and I really enjoyed their shumai and generous portion. Unfortunately, when I ordered through DoorDash, I received old and stale leftover calamari.
