Normally I am not rash, and churlish enough to toss my phone on a carpeted floor expecting it to land safely. No it bounced and hit the frame of a antique sewing machine, so perfectly that it cracked the screen...okay confession over. So this process took a week and 3 trips. I am willing to accept that some of the overall length of time is "supply chain" [they didn't have my screen model in stock]. However my only knock is the said they would call and never did. I called a few days into the wait. Young man said it was there, so I made the trip (not that far, but still not without hassle). When I arrived he looked around (I would argue that should have been done when I called) and was told to come over. All good we all make lazy mistakes sometimes. Young man was otherwise professional and polite. Anyway the work was done correctly, phone looks like new and $100 lesson in being an impulsive dolt was worth it. Lesson learned, get more sleep during the week, get some exercise, manage stress better so you don't have to go through this first world problem, a dumb problem to create for yourself.

I had the unfortunate experience of opening a evite dinner invitation attachment on an email from a known acquaintance which turned out to be a Remote Access Trojan (RAT). I tried several times to clean my hard drive with Nord VPN Threat Malware and Malwarebytes programs which found nothing. A backdoor was established on my laptop and I could see the intruder's mouse pointer navigating throughout my laptop while my mouse pointer was disabled. The only solution to stop it was to sever the internet connection. The issue persisted for several days when I would reconnect the internet. The intruder wasn't always present but I could see when they were. The intruder got into my Google password manager, Quicken account and attempted to make Amazon purchases. I was running out of airspeed and ideas and recognized that I needed professional assistance. I researched locally for an I.T. firm and found Will Get IT Done. I met with Will who examined my 7 year old laptop and he recommended I simply replace it as the cost to wipe it clean/replace the hard drive and reload would be comparable to a replacement. Although working just fine prior to the intrusion, given the age of my laptop I took Will's advice and purchased a new laptop. Will and Nicholas transferred all of my clean files from the old to the new laptop in their lab leaving the RAT in the old hard drive. I am now back in great shape. On the day of my appointment, Chesley called and told me I had to arrive by 5:00 p.m. because my service would take two hours and the business closed at 7:00 p.m. When I asked why the scheduling system allows one-hour appointment blocks if certain services require two hours, she couldn't provide a reasonable explanation. I then asked which service she had listed for my appointment, and she named a completely different service that had nothing to do with the issue I was bringing in. Despite their scheduling error, I was told the only way I would be helped was if I arrived by 5:00 p.m. I left work early to accommodate their request and arrived at 5:05 p.m. after being delayed by heavy traffic on Route 50. When I arrived, Dennis was dismissive and unprofessional, telling me there were other customers ahead of me and that he would "get to me when he got to me." That raises an obvious question: What is the purpose of making an appointment? If appointments are not honored, customers should be told that upfront. This is especially frustrating when the service is expected to cost approximately $100--this was not a free community service. The entire experience demonstrated poor communication, inaccurate scheduling, and a lack of respect for customers' time. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business based on my experience.
