I had initially asked for recommendations for electrician but appreciated that he reached out privately to explain what I would need done. Adam immediately offered to come over and look at what I would need done and provided a free estimate. His communication / response time was quick and professional. Throughout the estimate he was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. After receiving the quote, he provided his card and without pressuring whatsoever said to call if I was interested. I reached out the same day to get scheduled. He was again quick to respond and booked me within the same week. He even reached out again to help move my installation to a Sunday morning due to the weather forecast. The installation went smoothly and quickly, and he was professional throughout the entire experience. We had some hiccups with the security system equipment (no fault of his own) and he was quick to assist as I spoke to the security system customer service. I tried to cancel service that was established by Royal Security who was then bought out by Altronics. Pye Barker refuses to honor the change of name that was approved by Altronics as the result of an estate settlement upon the death of my mother. The contract with Altronics clearly stated that the account number would remain the same, the monitoring period would remain the same and the remaining months left on the annual service would be credited as paid in full. Now they want to wipe away that time frame and claim the contract is being cancelled 7.73 months early. My relationship spans over 22 years going back to when we had another property under Royal Security. In less than a year with Pye Barker, my satisfaction went to total dissatisfaction. Stay away from Pye Barker and find a smaller security company with more personalized treatment!

I called on a Monday, spoke to someone (who could answer their phone but apparently wasn't authorized to accept a cancellation order), who then switched me to a "dedicated" staff person who wasn't dedicated enough to answer - I was on infinity hold. I called back the next day, and this time the person on the phone was able to put the cancellation through. I asked that it be effective the Monday when I first called, the day before. Nope, it was actually processed the day AFTER my second call to them. Other Yelpers have noted this cancellation problem as well. Those two extra days on my dime are not a huge amount, but it's a significant hassle no one deserves - especially not a cusomer whose been with them for years.
