The "plumber" came by and retrieved the necklace. Since there was still time remaining in the hour, I asked him to fix a leak in the showerhead. After tinkering for a bit, he said he was not able to fix the leak. The next day I discovered that the handle was not re-attached properly. I contacted Nettles plumbing who sent another plumber on Monday. A couple of very rude and unprofessional "plumbers" arrived. They also tinkered around and were not able to properly re-attach the handle. I tried for several days to contact some sort of manager or the owner, Joe Nettles, to no avail. I called later in the week and spoke to a woman who identified herself as a manager. Come to find out she was not a manager after speaking with her. She was extremely rude and unprofessional and did not take ownership of the problem. I will never again use nor will I recommend their services to anyone in the future. Very unprofessional and incompetent.

When it comes to plumbers, you just don't get anything better than John at Hildebrandt Plumbing…read more If you've read my previous reviews, you know that I hold on to his phone number like grim death. When you have a plumbing issue, after all, it is as if you're staring the Grim Reaper directly in the face. It isn't pretty, and you want to escape that desperate feeling as quickly as possible. Once again we needed help due to a severe exterior leak that was going at a rate of 13 gallons per hour (per my water district info). OMG. Choke! That, my friends, is a serious leak. Called John, and literally within 2 hours, he was here at the house. After much digging, investigating and research (along with his helper), a cracked joint in the underground pipe from the water meter to the house was discovered. Within hours (yes, plumbing issues take time to resolve), everything was repaired and we were back in business. Support small businesses! Hildebrandt Plumbing has been my go-to plumber for more years than I can count, and it's because of service such as this that I will continue to call John with ANY and EVERY plumbing issue we encounter.

James saves the day!…read more On a Sunday (of course), our water heater decided to spring a leak. A BAD leak, as water was gushing out of the safety drain pipe onto our driveway. We shut off the water and realized that we needed help. Quick. Especially since even after shutting off the water and releasing the pressure on a dedicated hot water line in a sink, the water still kept coming. Called James, left a message with his answering service. He called me back in about 20 minutes! Unfortunately, though, he didn't have a water heater on hand on this particular Sunday, but he promised to be at our house by 8 AM on Monday morning. At 7:50 AM on Monday, James is here. Thank goodness! Not a quick job, since he had to replace not only the water heater, but a seal on the shut-off valve was defective and a seal on the hot water line wasn't working, either. He took care of everything - and I mean everything - expertly and efficiently. Hot water back up and running! Now, here's the unbelievable part: James had quoted us a cost for replacement of this water heater back in October of last year. He told us that the quote was good for 90 days. Obviously the 90 days was long gone, but James honored that quote and charged us the exact amount that he said he would back in October - not a nickel more. Wow! Highly recommend this local business. James does superb work, and communication is excellent. And he's very reasonable on cost, too!

He delivered it but he didn't have the right cable to hook it up. He told me to go buy it and he'd come back the next day. He never showed up. I rescheduled with him, and never showed up. His wife told me I can just do it myself. If that's the case... Why did I just pay him 175 dollars? Horrible. ***In response to the company's message: We tried multiple times to get you to come back. We bought a new attachment to make it easier for you to complete the job. We don't know about dryer parts. You should have asked about connections when you were making your estimate. You mention regular customers-- we had at one point wanted to become a regular customer. But never showed up multiple times. Lying and saying you will come and then never showing up is rude and unprofessional. If you didn't want to drive all the way back out here to complete the installation you should have reimbursed us for the cost to install the vent and the cord. I don't know if you understand how silly it sounds for a service person to take your money and then tell you to finish the job. That is ridiculous. Finish the work you start. *** This company has changed their response again, now saying that the job was just a delivery. It wasn't. I requested appliance installation and delivery. They never asked what type of prongs or plugs were involved. When he didn't have the part to install it, he said we should go buy the part and he promised to come back the next day. He never came back. He tried to blame it on us. As long as you do the research to ensure everything he needs is available he might do a good job. But-- if he needs a piece of equipment to finish the job--do not give him any money until he comes back and finishes the work. There is a chance he will lie and say he will come back, and he won't. He will miss multiple appointments and waste your time. Most likely he will never come back, and avoid your phone calls. Or... He will tell you that it's all your fault and tell you to finish the job you paid him to do.
