Took my money, never finished the job, told me to do it myself, and repeatedly didn't show up. I paid them to move my washer and dryer and install it in my new home. He delivered it but he didn't have the right cable to hook it up. He told me to go buy it and he'd come back the next day. He never showed up. I rescheduled with him, and never showed up. His wife told me I can just do it myself. If that's the case... Why did I just pay him 175 dollars? Horrible. ***In response to the company's message: We tried multiple times to get you to come back. We bought a new attachment to make it easier for you to complete the job. We don't know about dryer parts. You should have asked about connections when you were making your estimate. You mention regular customers-- we had at one point wanted to become a regular customer. But never showed up multiple times. Lying and saying you will come and then never showing up is rude and unprofessional. If you didn't want to drive all the way back out here to complete the installation you should have reimbursed us for the cost to install the vent and the cord. I don't know if you understand how silly it sounds for a service person to take your money and then tell you to finish the job. That is ridiculous. Finish the work you start. *** This company has changed their response again, now saying that the job was just a delivery. It wasn't. I requested appliance installation and delivery. They never asked what type of prongs or plugs were involved. When he didn't have the part to install it, he said we should go buy the part and he promised to come back the next day. He never came back. He tried to blame it on us. As long as you do the research to ensure everything he needs is available he might do a good job. But-- if he needs a piece of equipment to finish the job--do not give him any money until he comes back and finishes the work. There is a chance he will lie and say he will come back, and he won't. He will miss multiple appointments and waste your time. Most likely he will never come back, and avoid your phone calls. Or... He will tell you that it's all your fault and tell you to finish the job you paid him to do. read more

After 3 botched Home Depot deliveries I ended up with a fridge left in my entry way and not up the stairs and installed in the kitchen. The delivery men sent from Home Depot said moving the fridge up the stairs was impossible without 4 people. I was completely fed up with Home Depot's delivery practices at this point and told Home Depot I was not scheduling another delivery and I was just going to find someone to install it today instead of another 4-5 days like Home Depot would do. As an aside... Never buy an appliance from Home Depot. They do not value your satisfaction and send incompetent people and defective appliances. I told M&R about my problems and they came over same day and with 2 people and a little help from me we got this fridge up the stairs and installed. These total professionals also disassembled the doors of the fridge and reassembled them up the stairs for clearance moving up the stairs. I am absolutely ecstatic that I was able to get that fridge installed in the same day and the price was very fair! Absolutely 100% recommended these guys. read more

From disgusting to delightful! The house we bought had all original everything - 26 years old. The old range hood was beyond cleaning and just plain gross. Our replacement was a wall mounted range hood and not as easy to install. M&R responded quickly and set a appointment. Robert and his trusty sidekick came as scheduled and got to work. Robert checked everything out, explained what they were going to do. I didn't realize our hood was not wide enough to contain the electrical outlet. Robert explained it needed to be moved or it would not look right. (That was important because not that long ago a different so-called contractor had the same issue and installed it anyway without saying anything to me until it was installed.) I'm conflicted writing this review. My initial experience with them was wonderful. We bought a built-in wall microwave and contacted M&R to install it and Robert came out on Sat 6/26. The trim kit we that had to buy separately (because apparently built-in microwaves are like Apple products; you end up paying double the price for accessories) did not fit the microwave correctly. Robert went ahead and installed the microwave in the wall so we could at least use it. He directed us to a website in which we could order a custom trim kit to fit the space and helped me take the measurements needed. He told me that when the trim kit came in to give him a call and he'd come out within a day at no charge to install it. He even fixed a minor issue with our refrigerator door for us. We were extremely impressed with the help he had given us. We happily paid him and thought we'd found a great business to call on for future needs. Here's where it goes downhill. The trim kit came in on Friday 7/9 in the afternoon. I called Robert to let him know we received it. It was late in the day and he said he couldn't make it out until Monday. No problem. Monday comes around. No call, no show. I call him Tuesday morning. He said was was in another area of town but he'd try to come that afternoon and if he couldn't then definitely he'd come on Wednesday. That's fine. Houston is a large city and I can understand the logistics of trying to cover a large service area. No call, no show the rest of the day. No call through the noon hour on Wednesday to let me know when he's coming. At this point I'm starting to get skeptical of his intentions. I call him on Wednesday afternoon to ask him when he thought he'd be able to be here to install then trim kit. He puts me off again and says it'd be Thursday (today as I write this). So I straight up ask him if he's planning to come back and he hangs up on me. It's hard for me to resolve the terrific service we received on the day that we paid Robert with the repeated snubs I received for something that he said he'd do for us to complete the job with no further charge. Then again, maybe it shouldn't be hard to figure that out. In any case, I'm disabled due to a neck injury and it's difficult to impossible for me to do these kinds of things myself. So now I'm left with the option of finding another business (and paying another service fee) to finish the job. No matter how fantastic the initial service was, Robert's treatment of me afterward is unacceptable and therefore I cannot recommend this business to anyone. read more
