A friend was visiting from out of town, so decided to try out this place. The restaurant is in a strip mall off Kirchhoff. I don't live in this area, so I absolutely had no clue the restaurant is here! The place is modestly decorated, with a bar area. The staff is friendly, and the menu consists of Latin cuisine, but also some fusion with Asian cuisine. Bonus, if you are looking gluten-free option, there are plenty of options! We had an appetizer - a plantain cup filled with slaws and grilled shrimp or steak. It was quite delightful as the plantain cup was crunch, with crispy slaw and juicy tender steak. For entree, we had a pork kabob with lemongrass skewer, and grilled shrimp skewer. Each came with sides that you could modify. The food was flavorful. Then, we closed out the dinner with a dessert - a poached pear wrapped inside a meringue. We never had this, but we thought the meringue was a little too sweet for our preference. There are also good list of cocktails if you are looking for something addition. It is a good spot for an outing with good foods. Check it out!

I have to avoid dairy, wheat, soy and eggs so finding food I can have is always a bit difficult. I am just sensitive, not deathly allergic so please contact the restaurant for specific allergy questions and accommodations. The Yukka fries were amazing! I loved the sauce. No idea how they made it creamy, but I loved it. Chicken was full of flavor and a nice variety of flavors. My partner did go here to eat in person and commented how the music was a bit too loud in his opinion. Overall I liked their food and would highly recommend.

I have been to this restaurant a handful of times, and it has consistently delivered bold flavors and quality food! Phoenix Flame serves Latin and Mediterranean food in an unassuming plaza. Service can be a little slow, but it's worth the wait. The owner is very pleasant and friendly, and you can tell he cares about his restaurant! In particular, we enjoy their sandwiches and meat plates. The lemongrass pork kabob and the shrimp skewers were excellent! The yuca fries complemented the meats well. Portions can be a little small, but I think the flavors and quality make up for it.

From the moment you step into this restaurant, you are greeted with the utmost respect and appreciation. The waitress we had was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the dishes & recommend her favorites. We had the Martinez cups for appetizer, the trio meat platter with veggies & I got the Berry Bliss cocktail. The reviews/recommendations for the Martinez cups did not disappoint. The cocktail was a fresh berry seltzer with strawberries and blueberries. They are a Mediterranean/latin inspired restaurant & the flavors are on point! Every time has a unique flavor (lemongrass etc). You can also see kitchen & yes the chef was wearing gloves. The decor is beautiful -greenery and twinkle lights. There are fresh plants on every table. They also have a bar with seating. Highly recommend & will definitely return

Stopped here while we were visiting Chicago to grab lunch before leaving town. Tito was our server and took good care of us. We started with the grilled Zucchini, but somehow due to a problem in the kitchen our appetizer came out after our actual entrees. Not the end of the world. It was good - the fresh dill really makes this tasty. My wife had the short rib bulgogi bowl, which was amazing. I had the ultimate steak sandwich. Let me just say that his thing is an unholy mess to try to eat. Seriously. It's damn good, but the different cuts of steak combined with the herb sauce, caramelized onions and cheese caused it to keep sliding out of the brioche bun. Better eat this one with a fork and knife if you order one. Drinks and service were both good. Would definitely come back to try some other dishes.

UPDATE: This restaurant is still amazing. Cozy and chill interior. Changes in work schedule does not allow us to frequent as much but I'm glad we went. Changes to the menu. We do miss the plantain chips with pico and the absolutely amazing skirt steak sandwich. That sandwich was delicious with garlic sauce and onions. Oh well changes happen. We split a shepherd's salad, my wife had the steak and fries and I had the Cuban sandwich. Best Cuban I've ever had. The pork in it is amazing and I feel like they could do more with it. I could eat a plate of that pork. As always, fries were delicious. Thanks for the food!

After finding great reviews for this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. We were warmly greeted on a Sunday for dinner service. The staff were very attentive. Overall, the food was good. The accompaniments with my steak were my favorite (mashed potatoes and vegetables). I also really enjoyed the Pork Belly sliders.

Great service, great food and drink list! Reasonable price for the amount and quality of food...except the yuca fries. :) The hangover soup is def a shareable size or can be an individual entree. Love the corner salad with fennels, cashew and grapes! The Argentinian steak is well seasoned and cooked to the requested temperature:) so soft and melt in your mouth! Will come back and check out the kabob next!

Food was very tasty but way too expensive for what you get. Most likely won't go back.

They also have yummy homemade ice cream. A week later. I had the same meal at Smoque. The brisket there was delish and was a little more moist. But any smoke flavor was very very light. And the music seemed similar to a club beat but not obnoxiously loud. Service The service was great. Our server gave us some recommendations and the staff seemed pretty nice. The food itself did not take too long to come out. Also, when there was a mistake with one of the orders, it was taken care of without any issues. Food Fried potatoes This was a recommended side. The potatoes themselves were crispy with a fluffy middle. It came with a spicy mayo type of dipping sauce which tasted good other than the fact that dipping the potatoes in it did not really get that much sauce on them. I would recommend this side dish. French onion grilled cheese The French onion grilled cheese is a very tasty dish. It has the sweetness of the caramelized onion and nice cheese pull. It is a rich dish so eating cause food fatigue. We got it with bacon. It was good but not really necessary. Crispy chicken sandwich This is the chicken sandwich seen on tiktok. The cutlet is thick and it was fried with a light coating. The chicken sandwich was juicy. I think mine might have needed a little more seasoning (my own preference). Overall The scratchboard kitchen is a nice place to go and have a bite to eat. This was my first visit to Which Wich and I was a little overwhelmed by the bags on the wall (you're supposed to mark which wich you choose with a sharpie). Instead I went up to the register and was walked back to the bags. Too many choices so I selected a tuna wich and fries. I waited quite some time. I was expecting a quick turnaround like at Subway or Potbelly's. No, your food is prepared behind a barrier and you were supposed to mark the toppings you wanted on the bag. It was about 20 minutes at which time I decided to take my food to go. I had a dr appointment so I took my wich into the office with me (didnt wanna leave a tuna wich in a 100 degree car). I carried my bright yellow which wich bag into the waiting room. The wich was ok, nothing spectacular. I prefer the tuna sandwich at other establishments. I wouldn't order the fries again. The sandwich was fine, a little better than your average sandwich shop sandwich but not super memorable. The French fries were really good and I enjoyed the skinnier fries. The milkshake was again ok but not great. The cookie, I thought, was the best thing I had from Which Wich. The food was average but what was really shocking was the price. This meal was $25.02. This was really expensive. A dinner for two would cost over $50! This caused me not to want to go back. It makes it really difficult to take a family here for food. This is a small joint, and it was already half full by the time we ordered, then sat down (they told us the table at which to sit). I didn't know, but asked, and found out that a salad bar and miso soup are also included. The salad bar was pretty decent, with fresh vegs. They even had French fried onions (my guilty pleasure) and a very good House dressing (ginger vinaigrette). The portions are enormous. The couple next to us got ramen, and it was practically overflowing. We ordered takoyaki (too much food, we didn't need). I had the Pork Katsu bowl and my companion had a Katsu curry. I wished I had ordered the curry -- it looked dark and rich and thick like pudding (not like a boxed curry). They also gave us a bonus piece of chicken karaage which was so large and crispy. I think I'll get the curry next time, or the ramen. We originally came because we were going to get a karaage sando, but get the curry.
