There were five of us and we had a reservation. I highly recommend having one as the place is a little on the small side with a small amount of tables, two to three counter height rounds, and a bar with about five to six seats. We ordered some drinks (no one got alcohol) and some appetizers. We got the Low Carb Yuka Fries and while that is not my bag, they were good. I was pleasantly surprised. We also had the roasted red pepper spread, which everyone enjoyed. Two of us ordered the Ultimate Steak Sandwich. I opted to removed the caramelized onions. The other person let them on. I also removed the garlic herb sauce but replaced it with a chimichurri sauce. That really kicked it up a notch and was good for dipping the fries in. They're fresh cut fries, so they were good on their own, but the chimichurri again kicked it up a notch. We also ordered the chicken bowl, the avocado salad, and the Greek style lamb chops. We all loved our food and were too full for dessert. It's a quaint little place, cozy for intimate conversation or a night out with family and friends. I think the night was made a little more fun when a couple came in and was seated at a counter height table and were making out all night. It was a lot and gratuitous. I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and we got here early like 4:30 pm. Since we were at odd time, place was not so busy. We were big group but our server did great job in getting our orders in. My food was really good and drinks were great as well. Our group was loud but we didn't disturb others. A friend was visiting from out of town, so decided to try out this place. The restaurant is in a strip mall off Kirchhoff. I don't live in this area, so I absolutely had no clue the restaurant is here! The place is modestly decorated, with a bar area. The staff is friendly, and the menu consists of Latin cuisine, but also some fusion with Asian cuisine. Bonus, if you are looking gluten-free option, there are plenty of options! We had an appetizer - a plantain cup filled with slaws and grilled shrimp or steak. It was quite delightful as the plantain cup was crunch, with crispy slaw and juicy tender steak. For entree, we had a pork kabob with lemongrass skewer, and grilled shrimp skewer. Each came with sides that you could modify. The food was flavorful. Then, we closed out the dinner with a dessert - a poached pear wrapped inside a meringue. We never had this, but we thought the meringue was a little too sweet for our preference. I am just sensitive, not deathly allergic so please contact the restaurant for specific allergy questions and accommodations. The Yukka fries were amazing! I loved the sauce. No idea how they made it creamy, but I loved it. Chicken was full of flavor and a nice variety of flavors. Service can be a little slow, but it's worth the wait. The owner is very pleasant and friendly, and you can tell he cares about his restaurant! This is a nice, cozy, friendly evening out! Great for a date night, so muster up some courage and ask someone out. If they say no, come here anyway and weep while gnawing on a lemongrass pork skewer and sipping on a cocktail. Kidding. I promise the staff is so friendly and inviting that you will not weep, but chuckle in anticipation for your dinner. We came here with the whole fam. This means chaos, loud conversation, and laughter. I feel sorry for places when we show up. The manager personally met with us and was so kind. I enjoyed the hangover soup. It was rich and aromatic with just a touch of spice in the back of your throat. The Argentinian steak with potato and vegetables was good, as was the steak and fries with chimichurri. We had an outstanding meal last night with our friends and would recommend it to all. While they had 20% off cocktails last night - each of us still ordered wine. The Goose Ridge Merlot was exceptional and I've added it to my list to buy more bottles! For starters - the table shared the grilled zucchini and shrimp kisses. The shrimp dish contained plantains and cheese and was loved by all. Everyone was pleasantly surprised at how good the zucchini was, too. Very thinly spiced and herbed. I'm usually not a zucchini fan, but this dish converted me. Both excellent dishes. For entrees - we got the phoenix flame sandwich, shrimp skewers and two of the mixed flame. The guys loved the sandwich and shrimp dish but let me tell you about the mixed flame: Two sliced pork, one short rib, and one lemon grass pork kabab. My first bite of the dish was so delicious. I'm not a huge meat eater, and usually prefer the sides / veggies. But in this dish - I ate every piece of meat first. I can't begin to describe how flavorful each of the kababs / meats were. They were perfectly marinated. My friend and I thought it was one of the best dishes we've had in a long time! We did not embark in any dessert tastings but maybe next time. The owner stopped by to see how our meal was - and told us a little bit about himself and his wife. I loved the concept of Meditteranean and Latin influences and I highly recommend the restaurant. Our first visit was a bit disappointing. Service was good with a very friendly server. Drinks were made well. The food was not great. The salmon bowl consisted of white rice, obviously frozen vegetable medley, and very overcooked fish. The steak and fries were just ok, definitely overcooked for medium request. My only disappointment here, was I didn't take a picture of the food or restaurant. What a flavorful experience! My cousin and I split the RM Hot Chicken sandwich and the Phoenix Flame sandwich, I still can't decide what I liked more. Our server was so friendly and shared great recommendations. We're already planning what to try next time. The restaurant is such a sophisticated atmosphere inside. OMG! This place is amazing! The decor is lovely and not at all what you'd expect from a restaurant in a strip mall. The food was very well flavored with subtle nuances. We started with the grilled Zucchini, but somehow due to a problem in the kitchen our appetizer came out after our actual entrees. Not the end of the world. It was good - the fresh dill really makes this tasty. My wife had the short rib bulgogi bowl, which was amazing. I had the ultimate steak sandwich. Let me just say that his thing is an unholy mess to try to eat. Seriously. It's damn good, but the different cuts of steak combined with the herb sauce, caramelized onions and cheese caused it to keep sliding out of the brioche bun. Have been twice. Nice feel to the place. Food is great. The options are interesting and there is a wide variety for every taste and appetite. There are many combinations I never considered. For example, I love poached pears and they have an interesting take on theirs that really hit the spot for me. Service is enthusiastic. Full bar. Good wine choices. In between my 1st and 2nd visits an 'operating fee' showed up on the tab. This was not addressed anywhere. Lost a star due to this b/c it is a sneaky tax I was not expecting from such warm and friendly people. Although the appetizers were small, they were packed with lots of flavor. We started off with the plantain maduro and low carb yuca fries. If you're looking to share appetizers, you'll want to order a few. My gf ordered the Argentinian steak and I ordered the steak and fries. Both steaks were packed with flavor. The chimichurri sauce was amazing- not only for the steak but to dip the fries in. It was so simple yet so delicious. We finished the meal with some crème brûlée and it was big enough to share. I was really intrigued by their chocolate cake- which is the owners mom's recipes so I'll have to try it next time I stop by... My only complaint was where we were seated which was right next to the hallway that leads to the bathroom. There's a gap that leads to the hallway then another table actually along the hallway wall. When both tables are occupied- it makes it narrows the passage way so needless to say, other patrons were knocking into the corner of my car, along with the servers. UPDATE: This restaurant is still amazing. Cozy and chill interior. Changes in work schedule does not allow us to frequent as much but I'm glad we went. Changes to the menu. We do miss the plantain chips with pico and the absolutely amazing skirt steak sandwich. That sandwich was delicious with garlic sauce and onions. Oh well changes happen.
