I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and we got here early like 4:30 pm. Since we were at odd time, place was not so busy. We were big group but our server did great job in getting our orders in. My food was really good and drinks were great as well. Our group was loud but we didn't disturb others. Chef also stopped by our table and thanked us for coming. Best part for me was the Dubai chocolate cakes- it was very tasty.

A friend was visiting from out of town, so decided to try out this place. The restaurant is in a strip mall off Kirchhoff. I don't live in this area, so I absolutely had no clue the restaurant is here! The place is modestly decorated, with a bar area. The staff is friendly, and the menu consists of Latin cuisine, but also some fusion with Asian cuisine. Bonus, if you are looking gluten-free option, there are plenty of options! We had an appetizer - a plantain cup filled with slaws and grilled shrimp or steak. It was quite delightful as the plantain cup was crunch, with crispy slaw and juicy tender steak. For entree, we had a pork kabob with lemongrass skewer, and grilled shrimp skewer. Each came with sides that you could modify. The food was flavorful. Then, we closed out the dinner with a dessert - a poached pear wrapped inside a meringue. We never had this, but we thought the meringue was a little too sweet for our preference. There are also good list of cocktails if you are looking for something addition. It is a good spot for an outing with good foods. Check it out!

I have to avoid dairy, wheat, soy and eggs so finding food I can have is always a bit difficult. I am just sensitive, not deathly allergic so please contact the restaurant for specific allergy questions and accommodations. The Yukka fries were amazing! I loved the sauce. No idea how they made it creamy, but I loved it. Chicken was full of flavor and a nice variety of flavors. My partner did go here to eat in person and commented how the music was a bit too loud in his opinion. Overall I liked their food and would highly recommend.

I have been to this restaurant a handful of times, and it has consistently delivered bold flavors and quality food! Phoenix Flame serves Latin and Mediterranean food in an unassuming plaza. Service can be a little slow, but it's worth the wait. The owner is very pleasant and friendly, and you can tell he cares about his restaurant! In particular, we enjoy their sandwiches and meat plates. The lemongrass pork kabob and the shrimp skewers were excellent! The yuca fries complemented the meats well. Portions can be a little small, but I think the flavors and quality make up for it.

This is a nice, cozy, friendly evening out! Great for a date night, so muster up some courage and ask someone out. If they say no, come here anyway and weep while gnawing on a lemongrass pork skewer and sipping on a cocktail. Kidding. I promise the staff is so friendly and inviting that you will not weep, but chuckle in anticipation for your dinner. We came here with the whole fam. This means chaos, loud conversation, and laughter. I feel sorry for places when we show up. The manager personally met with us and was so kind. I enjoyed the hangover soup. It was rich and aromatic with just a touch of spice in the back of your throat. The Argentinian steak with potato and vegetables was good, as was the steak and fries with chimichurri. Their sandwiches look awesome but I have not tried them yet. I really loved dessert. Unforgettable poached pear. Delicious tiramisu. Perfect baklava. A great place if you aren't in the mood for chain restaurant bar and grills.

And, dare I say, better version. Except for their avgolemeno soup. Such a weak travesty. Please fix this. It's just a watery mess. However, everything else is delicious. I ordered the Greek Chicken with their lemon-butter rice. They debone the chicken and serve atop a mountain of their rice. If also had their potatoes (which are good) but the rice is magical. The first time we went, they had a serve yourself soda fountain and they since got rid of it and sell soda in bottles and cans. They do still have a self-serve water station. Since there was a total of 11 and the seating is first come first serve, we decided to call to see if they had reservations. They did take our name and reserved a table. When we arrived we noticed a table was reserved and we were informed that it was our table. We sat and looked over the menus. When we were ready my 2 boys and I went up to place our order. My one son has major allergies so we spoke to the chef and he came back out to recommend the dishes he can have. It was great that he did so and gave us confidence that my son would be able to eat without worrying too much about the ingredients. I ordered the Shrimp Kalamakia with a side of the Greek Rice. My son with the allergies ordered the Pork Kalamakia with Greek Rice and no pita, my other son ordered the Traditional Pork Gyro with Greek Rice. The sides we ordered: Saganaki Fritters and Spanakopitakia. My son that ordered the Pork Kalamakia devoured it. He said it was tender and juicy and probably could have eaten 4 skewers. My Shrimp Kalamakia was nicely charred and seasoned, I squeezed some lemon and it provided a nice tang over the seasoning. The Lemon rice pilaf was soft and cook just right and was nicely balanced. I had one Saganaki Ball and it was delicious. My son had the Pork Gyros said it was really good and the Tzatziki sauce was creamy and rich with flavors. My in-laws bought the table desserts and I got the Baklava and my wife got Loukoumades (Greek Donuts with Nutella) and both did not disappoint. I really loved the citrus honey syrup in the Baklava. The Loukoumades had a crispy shell and nice a fluffy on the inside and the Nutella amount was perfect. This place is very good and well worth the price in my opinion. I loved the fact that they took the time to make sure my son with allergies was safe.

Upon my first visit on a Thursday for lunch, the waitress Nur provided excellent service to our table. She was patient, pleasant, and provided answers to our many questions. I tried the lentil soup which was wonderful and I had the mushroom guvec with rice on the side that was delicious. We were served tea as an after dinner refresher which was nice. We noticed the bakery on the way out and they had so many treats ready to be ordered and taken home. The second visit was terrible. I came for lunch on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy. The lahmacon is offered as a lunch special and I asked if I could have the cheesemacon for the special. It's the same version with just cheese and no meat. My waiter Jamal straight told me no. I found that very odd so I inquired further because they are the same price on the menu and it's without meat. The answer still didn't change. I simply had a few more questions about other menu items and Jamal seemed agitated by then. He was not even trying to be nice. I ordered two entrees. I paid full price for the cheesemacon and had a pide with kashkaval cheese. Jamal brought my food and NEVER came back to my table. I watched him provide service to all the other tables during that time. I was fine and didn't need anything, but I didn't deserve to be treated that way for being pleasantly inquisitive. I really felt bothered by this because out of all my years of eating out, I never felt that a server treat me poorly personally for being myself. I've had bad service before just because the service is bad overall and that is different. I like the food so I reluctantly returned for a third time and had breakfast. Service was standard and the food was good. My mushroom omelette was fine. The traditional french toast was solid. This review should be one star but it is four without Jamal.

Big lot, quiet stretch of shoreline on the northwest side of town, and then the building itself sitting right on the water. Genuinely gorgeous on approach. Inside is a soaring converted church, and the first ten seconds are impressive. The tradeoff is exactly what those bones promise: it echoes, and it gets loud. Plenty of space beyond the main dining room too, with offshoot rooms they use for private parties and events. **Service** Our server ran the table like it was a chain casual spot, which isn't what this room calls for. Pushy pace, back every two minutes clearing plates we were still eating from, no sense of letting the meal breathe. It doesn't need to be steakhouse formal. It just needs to slow down and match the setting. Credit where due, they brought out a sparkler for the birthday, which always lands. **Food & Drink** - **Chicken Shawarma Rolls** -- excellent. Phyllo, cabbage, red peppers, mozzarella, spicy garlic aioli. Best thing we ate. - **Appetizers overall** -- consistently good, clearly the kitchen's strength. - **Raw bar** -- oysters, crudos, poke bowls, towers. Looks like the real move here. Going that direction next time. - **Halo Del Santo** -- spot on. Reposado, guava, coconut liqueur, lemon, tajín rim. Cocktails across the board were perfectly made. - **Steak** -- fine. Average. The mains were the weakest part of the menu, which stings at this price point. - **Banana sticky toffee pudding** -- I've had amazing versions. This wasn't it. **Verdict** Round it to **4 stars**, honestly a 3.5. Worth seeing the space once on its own. Treat it as an elevated happy hour, drinks plus apps plus raw bar, and it's a genuinely good time. Order deep into the mains and the value drops off. Slow the service down and it jumps half a star without changing anything in the kitchen.
