I highly recommend having one as the place is a little on the small side with a small amount of tables, two to three counter height rounds, and a bar with about five to six seats. We ordered some drinks (no one got alcohol) and some appetizers. We got the Low Carb Yuka Fries and while that is not my bag, they were good. I was pleasantly surprised. We also had the roasted red pepper spread, which everyone enjoyed. Two of us ordered the Ultimate Steak Sandwich. I opted to removed the caramelized onions. The other person let them on. I also removed the garlic herb sauce but replaced it with a chimichurri sauce. That really kicked it up a notch and was good for dipping the fries in. They're fresh cut fries, so they were good on their own, but the chimichurri again kicked it up a notch. We also ordered the chicken bowl, the avocado salad, and the Greek style lamb chops. We all loved our food and were too full for dessert. It's a quaint little place, cozy for intimate conversation or a night out with family and friends. A friend was visiting from out of town, so decided to try out this place. The restaurant is in a strip mall off Kirchhoff. I don't live in this area, so I absolutely had no clue the restaurant is here! The place is modestly decorated, with a bar area. The staff is friendly, and the menu consists of Latin cuisine, but also some fusion with Asian cuisine. Bonus, if you are looking gluten-free option, there are plenty of options! We had an appetizer - a plantain cup filled with slaws and grilled shrimp or steak. It was quite delightful as the plantain cup was crunch, with crispy slaw and juicy tender steak. For entree, we had a pork kabob with lemongrass skewer, and grilled shrimp skewer. Each came with sides that you could modify. The food was flavorful. Then, we closed out the dinner with a dessert - a poached pear wrapped inside a meringue. We never had this, but we thought the meringue was a little too sweet for our preference. Service can be a little slow, but it's worth the wait. The owner is very pleasant and friendly, and you can tell he cares about his restaurant! We had an outstanding meal last night with our friends and would recommend it to all. While they had 20% off cocktails last night - each of us still ordered wine. The Goose Ridge Merlot was exceptional and I've added it to my list to buy more bottles! For starters - the table shared the grilled zucchini and shrimp kisses. The shrimp dish contained plantains and cheese and was loved by all. Everyone was pleasantly surprised at how good the zucchini was, too. Very thinly spiced and herbed. I'm usually not a zucchini fan, but this dish converted me. Both excellent dishes. For entrees - we got the phoenix flame sandwich, shrimp skewers and two of the mixed flame. The guys loved the sandwich and shrimp dish but let me tell you about the mixed flame: Two sliced pork, one short rib, and one lemon grass pork kabab. My first bite of the dish was so delicious. I'm not a huge meat eater, and usually prefer the sides / veggies. But in this dish - I ate every piece of meat first. I can't begin to describe how flavorful each of the kababs / meats were. They were perfectly marinated. My friend and I thought it was one of the best dishes we've had in a long time! We did not embark in any dessert tastings but maybe next time. The owner stopped by to see how our meal was - and told us a little bit about himself and his wife. I loved the concept of Meditteranean and Latin influences and I highly recommend the restaurant. We started with the grilled Zucchini, but somehow due to a problem in the kitchen our appetizer came out after our actual entrees. Not the end of the world. It was good - the fresh dill really makes this tasty. My wife had the short rib bulgogi bowl, which was amazing. I had the ultimate steak sandwich. Let me just say that his thing is an unholy mess to try to eat. Seriously. It's damn good, but the different cuts of steak combined with the herb sauce, caramelized onions and cheese caused it to keep sliding out of the brioche bun. UPDATE: This restaurant is still amazing. Cozy and chill interior. Changes in work schedule does not allow us to frequent as much but I'm glad we went. Changes to the menu. We do miss the plantain chips with pico and the absolutely amazing skirt steak sandwich. That sandwich was delicious with garlic sauce and onions. Oh well changes happen. I think this restaurant is worth a try, but it's not a place I would personally return to or frequent. Pros: I really liked the eclectic menu. There's all kinds of dishes to choose from. Very unique menu and nice ambiance. Cons: The food itself was nothing to write home about. The short ribs sandwich was all right, but I don't recommend the pork belly buns for an appetizer. It's only 3 buns for $12. There wasn't enough meat, too much red cabbage and the sauce didn't go well with the rest of the ingredients. My dad said the gnocchi was just OK, too. The service was very slow especially considering there was only one other table. The last thing I didn't like was all the fees added in addition to the taxes. There's an operating fee which I didn't see on the menu and there's also a 3% credit card surcharge which is annoying. read more

Wow. Where have a been that I'm just finding out about this place? They opened Sept 2023 and are like nothing in this area - a total gem. In a very unassuming strip mall location, this place is delivering high quality, delicious food. Everything we had was spectacular. We started with the Plantain Maduro - it was sauces, sweet and salty - absolutely incredible and I'll be dreaming about it for a while. My husband got the Argentinian style NY steak and I got the grilled salmon entrees. I added chimichurri to mine. We were both raving with every bite. We found the prices to be reasonable for the quality and portion of food, but I wouldn't be surprised if some patrons thought it was expensive. Honestly it's just like nothing else in the area, but in a very very good way in my book. And bonus points - they indicate dietary restrictions on the menu like gluten free which I always appreciate. Service was fine, nothing special or bad there, but the chef came out to check on each table throughout the night which I thought was a very nice touch. Truly, you need to try this place. This restaurant used to be in Niles, and was primarily a lunch takeout kind of place. Now it is in Rolling Meadows, and has transformed into more of a fine-dining dinner scene. The interior is nicely decorated, with artistic wall engravings and cascading live plants. I have been to this new location twice now. Our first visit was shortly after they just opened, and it took a very long time to get our food. We didn't inquire, but were informed that a previous event had them running a bit late in the kitchen. Fair enough. We visited again just this past Saturday, and again, it took a really long time to get our food. So that may just be how it is here. Don't arrive too hungry. That said, the food you are waiting for is excellent. We have tried the yuka fries, plantain maduro (note: this is more savory than sweet), Martha Corner Salad, short rib bowl, Cuban sandwich, and skirt steak sandwich. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is flavorful and fresh-tasting. Portions are reasonably sized for a single person's appetite (so, if you want to share, you should each order your own thing and split). I noticed they have added brunch hours, but I have not yet seen a brunch menu. Might be a good excuse for me to head back soon! read more

It seemed like low grade quality chicken or chicken that was frozen and then plopped straight into a fryer. It lacked flavor. Texture was off. Just bland overall.
