Food was fantastic! Loved the ambiance. The steaks were done very well, and the service was very accommodating considering we were a party of 14 with children. Can't recommend enough! Great Colombian restaurant in the burbs!

"Maracuya" margarita...seemed to be missing the maracuya and most of the alcohol too.

Service leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered the maracuya (passion fruit) margaritas and they came our watery and without a hint of maracuya. We e told the server right away and she basically told us that maracuya was there and dismissed our dissatisfaction. The food was very good, but we won't be returning die to the poor service. We had to flag her for everything, from bringing the needed silverware for those that didn't have one at our table to eventually the bill. When the craving for South American food comes back, I rather spend my money at Rio's in Addison or Colombian Taste in Itasca.

The service was mediocre at best. The food also took over 35 minutes to come out, and at 8PM we were asked if we'd like to take it to go since their kitchen was closed. No thank you, we were already starving. The food was ok. Nothing special or worth the wait. The steak on my Bandeja Paisa was smaller than the size of my palm, and I have small hands. It was also thin. There's much better Colombian places in the city, so I'll probably not be back.

Arepa Rellena Mixta Try their sauces, they add another dimension to the flavor, but delish as is.

This is our second time here in a while and has not disappoint. Food was very flavorful! The caramelized grilled onions was a great touch to the Steak Sandwich de Patacon. Presentation was awesome on all our orders and did not have to wait too long. Friendly staff! Almost everyone acknowledged and welcomed us with a smile and wished us all a good day! For a very busy restaurant, that's very rare. Place was clean and roomy!

Best food I've had in a long time!!! Went into Leños yesterday for our first time and everything from the food, service, and ambiance was perfect!!! I can't stop thinking about how delicious and fresh all the food was, as well as the presentation! I would highly recommended trying this place out, you won't regret it.

Place was pretty full so we were asked to sit at bar in the meantime. Bartender said she would remind waiter we were waiting for table since they brought menu and silverware to the bar. Once we were seated, they completely forgot about us. We flagged down the manager and he said he was sorry that the person that seated us probably forgot, I reminded him it was him. We didn't have a set server so we had to ask whoever passed by for drinks. Menu isn't too big, I expected to see more options. Food was good, portions are nice size but the service is terrible. In this industry "I'm sorry " doesn't make up for lack of service. Ambiance is pretty relaxed and casual. Music is the right volume to carry on a conversation comfortably. I definitely wouldn't drive out from northern suburbs especially to dine there again. If I'm in the area I'll go back.

My friends and I decided to check out this new Colombian restaurant during lunch. It is also my first time experience Colombian food, so not able to judge if it is authentic but the foods are delicious! The staffs are friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. The portion size is generous. One of my friends and I shared the Bandeja Paisa, which presented in a two tiers rack - bottom plate has the main items like rice, sweet plantain, grilled beef, chorizos sausage, arepa, fried egg, and arepa, and top is a bowl of soup with bean which you add to rice and meat. In my own experience, the bean "soup" adds additional flavor or acts as a sauce. In the restaurant, you'll also see a display shelves with pastry and desserts. So we couldn't resist the temptation. For desserts, we have hot chocolate (which serves with fresh cheese), and pastry (churros with guava jam, and bun with cheese and guava filling). Absolutely delicious! I also ordered a soursop juice with milk (not quite a smoothie or milkshake). It is quite delicious. I have soursop when I was in Malaysia and Brazil, so delighted to have it again. There are a few soups on the menu that are only available towards the end of the week, so I'll definitely come back to try them.

I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. I believe this business is new so I'm always a fan of supporting places like that. The waiter was working quickly to attend to multiple tables. I thought the food was very good. I also tried my wife's bandeja paisa, I had no complaints with the food. This restaurant has a lot of potential and I look forward to returning for the great drinks that they had.

Best Colombian food I have had yet in the Chicago area with amazing service I truly recommend! My family and I loved it as we were missing nuestra tierrita

This was a new spot for me. Came here with a group of 6 for dinner on a Friday. We shared the Picada Lenos X2 for an appetizer but it was a lot of food and we were all full by the time dinner came lol. It was very delicious, would highly recommend. I had the steak sandwich de patacon. It's like a Puerto Rican jibarito. I'm not used to sweet and savory and there was something sweet in the sandwich maybe the onions? The plantain is unripe so it's not sweet. I do prefer the jibarito over the patacon. It's more savory and garlicky. Also The staff was very friendly and polite here. I would definitely come back for the Picada Lenos

    Bandeja Paisa

AMAZING! Service was friendly and helpful. Drinks were phenomenal. Food exceptional. Ambiance was perfectly casual. First time here, but will definitely come back.

We wanted to try new It was good food and service. The server was very nice. I love their empanadas de Colombian. They have good lunch special for weekday, too. I will come back to try it.

Barely any meat and dry Picada Leños X2 not worth the $$

We dined in and their establishment is kept clean and it's well decorated. If a place serves horchata you know I have to try it and they pass the horchata test (not too sweet, hint of cinnamon, and no chalky aftertaste). They bring out chips and salsa to start. The salsa had a slight kick to it but nothing unbearable for my tastebuds. I had their chicken tacos minus the Pico. They still put the Pico. But besides that the chicken was well seasoned and nice and juicy. They really fill their tacos. I got double the rice instead of pinto beans. We also tried their beef Empanadas which were delicious but they will definitely fill you up. The bowl holds a lot of food and the flavors were good. The chicken by itself wasn't my favorite, they may have overcooked it but since everything else was good Ill give it a pass. Overall a good place to stop and get a bite to eat.

Unfortunately, my experience fell short of those expectations. The place and service were very cool. I could feel the a positive vibe. The decorations were fun and there was, what appeared to be, a birthday dinner going on :-) Very nice! I ordered (to go) the Santandereana burger (fries included). It's big. Bigger than my mouth. Therefore, I reverted to a knife and fork, which is totally fine with me. Highlights: The arepa was yummy (IMHO - it could replace the bun). The were two sauces included; a white, garlicky tartar sauce and a sweet, apple-like sauce. The "apple" sauce was nice. Midlights: The burger was fine. The tartar sauce was fine. Lowlights: I didn't notice (but was excited about) the chorizo. I couldn't find it visually nor gustatorily (i.e., flavor-wise). There was a tuna salad texture type layer that I'm assuming was the "house chicken." It didn't add any flavor, positive or negative. Nonlights: Ham, bacon, bun. In the end, there was probably too much going on. Too much effort and too many ingredients, most of which got lost. The three stars are hopeful. There is an energy that I'm excited about. I am not ruling out another visit to Parcero's. Perhaps a simpler dish will be better. Peace!
