I had been considering getting my brows done for some time and kept putting it off, but with my new earlier wake-up time for work, I finally decided to bite the bullet. After finding Phoenix Brows online and on IG, I booked an appointment. I was a bit nervous since I'd never had ombré powder brows or anything similar done before, but Huyen immediately put me at ease. Ahead of the session, she sent a detailed email covering prep guidelines, what to expect at the appointment, and aftercare instructions. The studio was easy to get to via rideshare. It shares a space with two other businesses, but never felt busy or overwhelming since the service takes place in a private room. The appointment was thorough and took time (out of necessity--you wouldn't want to rush something like this, after all), but the vibe remained relaxed and low-key; you can even listen to your own music if you want. We started with a consultation, she mapped out my brows, and only began the "permanent" work after my go-ahead. Throughout the session, Huyen was so patient, kind, and open to casual conversation. Now two weeks out, my brows have healed beautifully, and I suspect they'll only need minimal adjustments at the follow-up appointment. I've already received compliments and passed her website info along to friends. Highly recommend! read more

I'm so happy with my brows -- now that they're fully healed, I can confidently say they turned out even better than I expected. The shape is absolutely perfect. That was the most important thing to me, and she nailed it. They're clean, balanced, and fit my face so well while still looking natural. Her space is super clean and professional, and she's genuinely friendly and easy to talk to, which made the whole experience really comfortable. She really listened to what I wanted and was thoughtful in her approach. I originally started with a combo (nano + ombré), but at my touch-up I realized I didn't love the nano strokes on me. She adjusted everything and refined them into a soft ombré, going a bit darker, and it made such a difference -- I absolutely love the final result. She clearly cares about her work and takes her time to get everything just right. The whole experience really felt like a transformation -- highly recommend if you're looking for beautiful, natural-looking brows. read more

I had the best experience with Phoenix Brows for my ombré powder brows, and I'm honestly so happy I chose her! From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely comfortable and welcomed. She has such a calm, sweet, and reassuring energy, which really helped ease any nerves I had. One thing I really appreciated was how informative she was throughout the entire process. She explained every step she was working on, made sure I understood what was happening, and checked in with me often to make sure I was okay. That level of communication made me feel so confident and taken care of. The service itself was incredibly comfortable and surprisingly painless, I was literally able to fall asleep during parts of it! She also made sure I could take breaks to stretch, relax, and even drink water, which made the whole experience feel very personalized and not rushed at all. She paid so much attention to detail and truly took her time to perfect the shape and color to fit my face. You can tell she really cares about her work and her clients. And my results?? I am OBSESSED. My brows are absolutely beautiful--so natural, clean, and perfectly shaped. They frame my face so well, and I genuinely love them so much. If you're thinking about getting your brows done, I 1000% recommend Phoenix Brows. She is professional, talented, and truly passionate about what she does. I'm so glad I trusted her with my brows! read more

Phoenix Brows - Ombre powder brows - Permanent Makeup Near Me - San Francisco, California

My siblings and I chipped in to have my mom get the ombré eyebrow tattoo. My mom and I decided on this location because a close friend of mine had gone here a few years back and her eyebrows look amazing! My mom did have previous work done from about 4 years ago, which left a pink/red undertone. After sending pictures of her eyebrows, we were assured that it would be covered up with a new set of beautiful brows for her. After my mom came home from her appointment, she could not stop talking about how amazing the decorations were inside and how kind Huyen was. She was incredibly welcoming and sweet to my mom, who felt so relaxed and at ease that she even fell asleep during the appointment! I attached a photo of my mother's eyebrows right after the procedure, and will give updates once they fully heal! But so far, they look amazing and my mom is extremely pleased! I have already told all of my friends who are considering getting permanent makeup done to look into this location. Thank you so much! read more

I had a great experience at Phoenix Brow studio. I had previous brow work done (micro blading/ shading )with another artist a few years ago and scheduled a Appointment with Huyen for corrective work. She was great at explaining her process / technique, and was receptive to my concerns. She was also very patient with me while I decided in the shape and Look I wanted. I felt very comfortable in trusting my brows to her with all of the years of experience she has in the field. The studio itself was clean and chic, and in a good location in SF. I am very happy on how my brows turned out. I will definitely be returning for touchups. read more

The best decision I've ever made! Huyen is welcoming and makes you feel super comfortable from the get. She walks you thru the entire process and takes her time to make sure you look & feel your best. I had a last minute work trip come up where it was going to be very humid & cause me to sweat... so Huyen put in extra care to make sure it doesn't affect the healing process. Barely any pain. If you have tattoos, this is nothing. Aftercare is super simple, but I do recommend you clear your day so you could chill after your appointment. Overall, worth every penny! You'll wish you did it sooner. read more

I'm obsessed with my brows. I'm super low maintenance when it comes to my hair and makeup but I do try with my eyes/eyebrows. I hated drawing them in because I have a scar on my right brow and hair grows sparsely. I felt they were always a little crooked. Huyen took the time to address my concerns and made sure they were just right before starting the process. She was so patient with me. I got so many compliments on my brows. I'm w year in and still don't put anything on them and people can't believe it! The best part is waking up and not having to do anything but put on moisturizer and feeling good about my face - going to the gym and not having to worry about your face running. I'm super happy I went with Huyen and would definitely recommend!! read more

Huyen is amazing! Not only is she super understanding but she knows what she's doing. I am very picky and a bit needy when it comes to anything that will be on my face forever lol and she has been super accommodating to all of my needs and has been beyond capable each time I've gone to her. If you're anything like me and need to have everything planned out from getting there to the end of the healing process, you'll love her. Huyen is a brow artist who pays SO MUCH attention to the details. She spent time helping me draw my brows to my desires before we started the tattooing process. All her hard work paid off because I seriously love my new brows! They healed so nicely and look pretty natural. I get so many compliments on my brows and a lot of people don't even realize they're tattooed (they think it's just make up). The best part of getting this service done is waking up and cutting my get-ready time way down. I highly recommend Huyen. She's professional, kind, and attentive. Despite COVID going on, she definitely tries her best to make this experience as safe as possible. I felt really safe going to her to get this done. Huyen is a great brow artist! Many thanks to her! read more

I had my first ombré brow appointment back in April. And as everyone knows how important brows are on a girl... i was VERY nervous But Huyen was more than great. She made the whole process go by so smooth. She talks you through all that's happening and makes sure you approve of how it looks before she starts the actual process, which i really really appreciated. When the actual process starts, you barely feel a thing because she's very light handed. And not to mention a great conversationest so took my mind off of what actually was happening, lol. Very attentive and makes sure to remind me of the 2nd booking in a few months. I've never been so excited of my brows. My first year of having them is in a couple of months and they still look like i just got them done. Cuts down so much of my "getting ready" time. Compliments right when i walked out of her salon at my first session so you know her work is BOMB!!!! BOOK NOW, you def won't regret read more

I was always hesitant to get my brows done because I never trust anyone with them. When I saw my friend who had her brows ombre powdered, I was impressed by the work that was done, and she recommended me to go to Phoenix Brows. I quickly booked an appointment which was a quick and easy process through instagram. Huyen was great with communicating - updating me with my scheduled appointments and checking up on my brows after appointments. She is very precise with her work and I appreciate the time she took on my brows. She made sure everything was perfect for me - from the shape, color, and boldness. Because my skin is oily/combo, my brows faded a bit after the first session's healing process, but that was okay for me since I knew that was going to happen. I booked my second session a month later and Huyen looked at my brows and knew exactly what to do. I am beyond amazed with her talent and the effort she puts into her work. I will only trust her with my brows!! I'm so happy with how my brows turned out! I take 8 minutes to do my full face makeup now compared to 30. I received so many compliments from my family and friends. I highly recommend anyone who needs their brows done to check her out! read more

I just completed my training certification with Huyen. It was a 2 day course and the 2nd day with a live model. It was nerve wrecking as muscle memory for me takes a bit more repetition. But despite being nervous, Huyen made me feel very confident and calm. She actually helped made my nerves go down with her support and guidance through the whole process. I truly feel like she didn't hold back from training or tips/secrets. I felt she was very informative and attentive. I can tell she has pride and passion in her training which makes her a great educator. Maybe training on the side of the bed was a bit hard for me just cause my leg are long so it was at a slant that made my body a little off. But I should've moved to the head of the bed. Other than that, every penny was well worth it and I will highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! read more

Huyen is a magically worker! She makes my morning routine nonexistent, I used to incorporate waking up early to do brows into my morning routine and after seeing Huyen, I can enjoy that extra time sleeping in. Don't get me wrong, I had brows before but not ombre brows AND I told Huyen I wanted it slightly longer on the ends and she made it happen. The whole appointment was painless and soothing with the music she had playing in the background, basically took a nap there. High recommend! read more

I was so nervous about getting my eyebrows ombré shaded but decided to go for it after seeing my friend get her eyebrows done by Huyen. She's so sweet and the entire procedure was pretty much painless (I fell asleep haha). Huyen was very precise and careful with creating the initial shape for my brows, and they turned out looking exactly like how I drew them. Within a couple weeks after my brows finished healing, they looked so natural and I couldn't have asked for it to be any better. It's been over a year since I've had them done and they still look fantastic! Now I save so much time getting ready because I don't have to struggle finding the right shape, and I can also wake up looking more refreshed. Highly recommended for brow services in the Bay Area :) read more

I highly recommend Huyen. She is truly impeccable at her craft. I had my eyebrows microbladed with someone else 4 years ago. I was hesitant to have it done again because it hurt so much the first time. When I found Huyen here on Yelp and IG, I read through all the reviews and immediately reached out to her. She was professional and informative throughout. Just had my touch-up appt and I'm so pleased with the results. She is meticulous and really takes her time to achieve the best outcome for you. Also, I hardly felt any discomfort. Maybe 3/10 on a pain scale but so worth it. Unlike my previous eyebrow technician, Huyen waits for the numbing cream to set before working on your brows. She doesn't rush through the process. If you want to level up your eyebrow game, call her today. Thank you Huyen! read more

I first came here to get my eyebrows microbladed. Huyen was very attentive and explained the process thoroughly. When you are getting permanent or semi-permanent makeup, attention to detail is everything and I was very happy with the level of attention my eyebrows were receiving. She took the time to map out my brows perfectly and made sure I was happy with the shape before she started. Unfortunately, my healing process didn't go as expected. I typically have combo skin, but the healing process made my skin super oily and I didn't have much ink retention when I came in for my touchup appointment. Huyen noticed right away and after some discussion suggested we do microshading instead which would heal better with my skin. She even offered to do this as a complimentary service because she wanted me to be happy with my eyebrows. She gave the same level of attention to mapping out my brows as she did the first time. For microshading, the procedure was so comfortable that I might have even fallen asleep for a minute. Definitely recommend Phoenix brows if you are looking to get your brows done. read more

Booking an appointment with her online was effortless. At the actual appointment, I was super nervous and excited, yet she made me feel very comfortable about the whole process and explained each step.
