Freshest tofu can be purchased here! The owner/management is very nice and is happy to sell you freshly made tofu in all different textures and soy milk and other soy products. My dad procured soybeans and soy products for his Chinese restaurant in Waukegan for over a decade!

I met JENNY'S TOFU at West Loop - Whole Foods. CONGRATULATIONS! A local brand, company, ingredients with this manufacturing address. THE ONLY SOY & TOFU BRAND I EAT, & TRUST! Why? -- Monsanto owns the soy bean industry with a gazillion patent. Most USA soy drinks are laced with 50% Vit B12 that increases hunger more than usual. Asian soy drinks are riddled with synthetics. PERFECTION in soy & tofu: "Grown in Illinois, Gluten Free, Lactose Free, Cholesterol Free, No Trans Fat, Kosher" In a world where misery is the norm, a BLESSED FOOD is always welcomed in hopes of happiness and well-being. Thank you! NOTE: NO need to visit this manufacturing location, Jenny's Tofu is everywhere!

Best tofu in town. Hands down. I hear they supply many of the good Asian restaurants in town. I don't doubt it.

These are the same owners of The Sauce and Bread Kitchen, but they also make their own line of sauces. If you are a hot sauce lover or really just a lover of amazing flavor you've gotta get their sauce. I usually order online from their website when I can't make it to the store. My favorites are the Poblano, Chchcherrybomb, and Smokey Mole (honorable mentions are The Barrel and Poblano Mustard). But honestly they are all great and I put them on almost everything I eat. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Mike was super duper nice, knowledgeable, clearly loves what he does - I am a home cook and obsessed with hot sauce (no joke, 1/4 of my valuable fridge real estate is dedicated to hot sauce), and half of them are co-op sauces. Spent about 50 mins sampling hot sauces and hemming and hawing about how I was going to choose a modest haul of 7 bottles. Mike was very patient and answered all of my wacky questions about ingredients and made recommendations. Settled on the Mole, Kimchi, Jack o' lantern, Batsauce, Barrel, Aji gold and Carrot habanero....I find that I reach most often for the Kimchi and Jack o'Lantern...but they are *all* killer. None of them overpower, they are about flavor, not macho BS-melt-your-tongue-off-hot. They are a wonderful range of flavors - the Batsauce is fruity and funky, the Kimchi is wonderfully tangy, rich and savory, and I love how light the Carrot is - goes with a lot, tad sweet with a kick. The Jack is simple - and doing simple well, I've found, is a true testament of craftsmanship. Rock on, co-op sauce. Can't wait to come back for lunch and buy some other fun groceries like the cured meats and condiments I scoped out.

It's super cute and cozy on the inside- there isn't much seating, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. It's neither too loud nor too quiet, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. My friend and I stopped by for restaurant week, and for 3 courses at $40 it was a great deal! For drinks, we started with the Queen Bee and Flying High. I absolutely loved the first- the ginger was super unique and very crisp. There was complimentary homemade focaccia and white bean dip to start, which was both a huge bonus and possibly the best bread I've had in a minute! The bean dip especially was so flavorful and unique. We split the carciofo (artichokes in lemon butter) and meatballs with polenta to start. The artichokes were bright and not too heavy. I think the meatballs could've had a little more flavor, but they were tender and the polenta was very smooth and creamy. For mains, we split the chicken parmigiano and rigatoni alla buttera. The chicken was ultra crispy and the marinara was exceptionally flavorful. The rigatoni was rich and meaty with very tender sausage. We really enjoyed both and had a ton of leftovers. We ended with the tiramisu, and I've never had one so light and creamy yet rich. Already looking forward to returning and can't recommend Regalia highly enough!

I love this grocery store because they sell a wide variety of Asian snacks, seafood, meat, drinks and Asian sauces from countries like: Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Japan, Korea. I remember coming here one summer day years ago with my son; he started to feel lightheaded due to the summer's heat and the male owner told me to grab anything to drink and eat and he sat my son down on the stool and started feeding him. That memory really touched my heart and he even carried my son to the car. This place definitely holds a special place in my heart because of the owner's kindness and the fact that it's one of my mother's favorite places to shop. It's always busy especially on Sundays! I highly recommend this grocery store. They have a small parking lot next to the grocery store but it doesn't fit many vehicles. I usually just park next to the storefront if there is space available; if you live around the neighborhood you can also walk.
